37 states

Democrats believe they have a lead in the polls and they can run out the clock on the 2020 election.

Their argument is that between covid 19 and the riots and looting in the streets, the election is a lock. And this time they can go full-bore communist with their green deal, reparations, policing by mobs, and even a ban on all plastic.

The media circles. The walls are closing in. The dam is about to burst. This time, they really, really, really have the Orange Man trapped.

After all, they proclaim, Biden is no Hillary. That was the name of a Taegan Goddard column.

Fact-check: TRUE.

Biden finished fifth in Iowa to Hillary and Obama in 2008. And Biden has not aged well in the intervening 12 years.

In the past month, Democrats have made the same mistake they have made in every election they have lost since 1968. They turned their backs on patriotism.

The liberal scorn of patriotism will once again backfire. Democrats are burning down their cities. Conrad Black sees this destruction as re-electing the president.

He wrote, "This is some new form of farce noire, a nightmare of outright idiocy, part slapstick and part horror, playing on a gigantic stage. Fortunately, we know it has to end on November 3, but the audience will likely tire of it and bring down the curtain well before then. No society can tolerate this for long. The arsonists will not burn down society; the society will awaken and banish the arsonists."

There is an element of extortion in all this. Democrats are saying everything will return to normal only if we elect Biden.

Otherwise...

The attacks on the flag and the nation's Founding Fathers (as well as Lincoln and Frederick Douglass) show an arrogance and tone-deafness. Americans still love their country. Be they the sons and daughters of slaves or slave owners or people who were neither, Americans are proud of their country and proud of their heritage.

I said 37 states in January. I say 37 states in July because Democrats have done not one thing to win over Trump voters, who were enough in number to win 30 states and the presidency in 2016. Seven more Hillary states will flip. I mean, does anyone seriously believe Minnesotans will not switch to President Trump after the George Floyd riots?

We shall see.

  1. My fear is that Trump loses because enough low information voters are tired of the drama (manufactured) surrounding the President. These voters want some sort of normalcy. They mistakenly think that all of the "bad" will go away with a different President.

    2. Well, here’s how Otto sees things...

      - The LibCommies were in a real pickle back in March. Bern was on a roll. He did the 60 Minutes thing and confessed his love for Fidel. His numbers then cratered, he didn’t stand a chance in hell of beating Mr. T in the general. So Joe Mama wins SC and a “preference cascade” begins.

      - But really...how much different would things look if Sanders HAD been the nominee? Otto’s answer is NONE. Still the Wuhan, still the BLM, still Portland, all of it. Otto no longer even needs to close his eyes to imagine it. THE RIOTERS ARE BERNIE BROS. This is HIS campaign, HIS platform, HIS ideology. Soros and friends knew Bernie wouldn’t fly so they got a surrogate.

      - Yes, it is depressingly true that about 25-30% of the country would vote for literally ANYONE except Trump. Even Harvey Weinstein or Matt Lauer or Kevin Spacey; in their words, privileged white degenerate males. But NO WAY that makes the nut in November. No. Fooking. Way.

      - I still maintain Biden’s name will not appear on the November ballot. God has a way of working these things out. Then who? All the Fake Media Lies in the world won’t hide it. Bernie is the REAL candidate. And he’s unelectable.

      Trump, 50-0.

    3. Who does anyone that is voting against President Trump think they are voting for?
Not Joe Biden. Joe Biden has gone away; he is no more. He is incapable of holding office.
A vote for Biden means a vote for a mystery person or organization. Maybe the unnamed VP will take over. Or maybe Obama will take over ‘unofficially.’ Or maybe it will be George Soros calling the shots, or Vladimir Putin, or Chairman Xi of CCP.
      But it won’t br Biden

    4. Who the f*ck is low information these days? We are GLUTTED with information from social media, the DNC media and the Internet. Much of that information is false. It's a matter of sifting for the truth. But in my experience,no Trump supporter calls others Low Information Voters. That is just another way of being called stupid by Democrats and contemptuous leftists (but I repeat myself). I smell concern troll.

    6. I see your point on Edith Wilson, but that was before the 25th Amendment. The cabinet can get together and depose Biden in favor of the veep, and Jill will be shopping for assisted living.

  2. Anyone and everyone can see that Joe Biden has the IQ of paste, which proves the adage you are what you eat.

Four years ago it was obvious that Hillary was not even popular with Democrats. Meanwhile Trump was packing them in at his rallies.

And yet the polls showed Hillary cruising to victory.

  6. The dems have already surrendered to Trump on patriotism, optimism, and law-and-order. They nominated the one person who blunts any attacks against Trump on age, gender, race, and the treatment of women. Due to Biden's nearly 50-years in politics he allows Trump to continue to run as an outsider even though he's the incumbent. And that doesn't even begin to get into the other major issues of our time, like Biden being compromised by China and Russia, his un-woke 1994 crime bill, his un-woke vote to reestablish Jefferson Davis' citizenship, etc.

    1. The hilarious thing about Biden's crime bill is the fact that it was the congressional Black Caucus that demanded tougher drug laws and longer sentences. It was during the Great Cocaine Plague that the Caucus came to congressional leadership and demanded tougher sentences for rock coke vs. powder coke because the rock smoking was killing the black neighborhoods. He did what was asked of him, successfully, and now is blamed for it. Heh. It's tough to know what the rules are from day to day when you're a Democrat.

  10. If the Trump campaign continues to raise large sums of funds, it would be to their benefit to finance down ballot senatorial and congressional elections. The message would be simple. No matter how moderate and reasonable individual Democrats try to portray themselves, they are still the sock puppets of the radical left, its tyrants, hooligans and vandals. The impeachment votes showed these Democrats to be liars.

That British malignant enterprise is The Tavistock Institute of Human Relations: Shaping the Moral, Spiritual, Cultural, and Political.

This reshaping from 1946 has turned our country and others into what we are seeing today. A corrupt and Godless Society. And the primary way this was done was via Commerce. Those who are able to rule in the Commercial world shape our desires and our ideas through advertising. Linked together with the media and financial industries they have the power needed to control our wants and desires. Study this more and you will have you answer for what we are going through.

I dunno, the election of 2012 really shook me as I expected a much closer race but instead saw so many brain dead voters pleased with the mediocrity of Obama and regurgitating by rote what the media said about MIttens. I agree with Don that the democrats have done absolutely nothing to win over 2016 trump voters and have probably increased many more new Trump votersdue to the lawlessness they are reveling in. But its frightening the polls are even close to suggesting the country would turn to a dementia victim for relief!

    1. If memory serves, Obama won 2012 by < 300,000 _strategic_ votes. That is, there were several states where a few thousand votes the other way was the difference in the electoral college, which is what counts.

It doesn't matter if Hilary get every vote in Washfornigon, Chicago and New York City, if they lose the votes in the rest of the states.

      Delete
    2. Obama only won in 2012 because of how the states choose their electors for the electoral college (48 states use "winner take all"). If every congressional district was able to elect its own elector, Romney would have received an additional 75 electoral college votes, and defeated Obama in 2012.

    2. I hope Surber is correct, but like you I fully expect Trump will lose Minnesota. Voting is no longer about policy. It is about class identification. White upper and upper-middle class is going more democratic. Middle-class people, in many but not all states, strive to self-identify as such and mimic the public tendencies of those classes.

I am consistently amazed by the number of people I meet who reside in the top economic quintile and yet are far-left progressive. It never occurs to them that they would not enjoy the life they lead had their parents and grandparents pursued the policies they support so vigorously.

    3. I hear from folks in outstate MN that Gov. Walz, and by extension Biden, are dead out there with no hope of recovery. The Star Tribune poll didn't show that, but I didn't get to look closely at the poll. Star Tribune polls consistently lean about 5 points to the Democrats. I expect Minneapolis & St. Paul to go 70/30 for Biden, and there's usually good turnout in the city. So, it could be that the suburbs are the decider (as they were in 2018). Hillary won by 8000 votes.

Republicans can just run riot and arson videos, with the tag line: Remember. Everyone in Minnesota knows that every decision was made by Democrats. It also has not passed unnoticed that there have been exactly zero state charges for looting and arson.

    5. One of the big problems in Minnesota is the feckless State Republican Committee. Useless would be a compliment. It is up to the candidates to campaign with some backbone. The Committee just wants to suck up to the Red Star commies hoping they will be nice to them. But, the Commies knife them everytime and they never learn.

  19. The rioting is really just a tantrum. Kids throw tantrums when they don't get what they want. They are smart enough to know that the tantrum wont get them what they want, but will torment the parents so nobody will be happy. The tantrum is the kid punishing the parent for having more power. Democrats know down deep that Biden will lose, so they are making sure we feel miserable. We have to find a way to laugh at them, mock them and have a great time at their expense. We respect them too much, that's our problem. They deserve not an ounce of respect from us.
