Highlights of the News

A white woman Karensplains blackness to an elderly gentleman. We need to bring back involuntary commitment to state hospitals.

ITEM 1: Just the News reported, "Just a few months after Hunter Biden joined the board of Burisma Holdings, the Ukrainian gas company landed a deal with an Obama administration renewable energy program that had been championed by one of his father's key vice presidential advisers, newly released State Department memos show.

"The Memorandum of Understanding between Burisma and USAID's Municipal Energy Reform Project in Ukraine was signed in October 2014, according to a copy of the agreement obtained by Just the News under the Freedom of Information Act.

"At that time, Burisma was under very public investigations by both the British government and the Ukrainian prosecutor general's office and considered by the State Department to suffer from corruption issues.

"And the Burisma official who signed the MOU, Andrii Kicha, was publicly identified in British court documents in 2014 as someone whose conduct was questioned during the probe. More recently, Kicha was detained in Ukraine in what law enforcement authorities there said was a failed attempt to deliver a $6 million bribe to prosecutors designed to end continuing investigations of the controversial gas company. "

Now you know why Biden withheld a billion in aid until Ukraine fired the investigator into his son's company.

In fact, now you know why Ukraine got that aid in the first place.

ITEM 2: Just the News reported, "4 New Jersey residents have been charged in a recent mail-in voter fraud case, with state's attorney general accusing them of multiple crimes including voting fraud, tampering with public records and unauthorized possession of multiple vote-by-mail ballots.

"Fraud allegations have plagued the recent Patterson City Council special election in New Jersey, with three losing candidates last month demanding a recount after thousands of ballots were voided in the largely mail-in race.

"New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal announced Thursday that four people, one of them a Paterson city councilman and another a councilman-elect, have been charged with committing fraud during that election."

Vote Fraud By Mail.

ITEM 3CNN reported, "George Nader, who was a key witness in the Russia investigation and informally advised President Donald Trump's team on foreign policy, was sentenced on Friday to 10 years in prison by a federal judge in Virginia, stemming from his convictions on child sex charges."

Oh?

Buried in the story was this: "Nader became an important cooperator for special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation. Nader provided information about secret contacts between the Trump transition and a senior Russian government official, and his testimony was cited dozens of times in Mueller's sweeping report."

The report found absolutely no collusion between President Trump and Russia.

Nader told them what they wanted to hear to avoid prison. When that went nowhere, they charged him with child porn.

The story said, "Prosecutors say Nader is a lifelong pedophile. He first faced accusations of this nature in 1984, but charges were dropped. He pleaded guilty in 1991 to transporting child pornography, and was convicted in the Czech Republic in 2003 of paying for sex with several underage boys. He was also accused of possessing highly disturbing footage of toddlers being sexually abused."

They knew what he was all along: A gay pedophile. They likely planted him on the Trump campaign.

This is your FBI, America.

ITEM 4: Breitbart News reported, "The far-left New York Times reports that what had been a clean and safe neighborhood, an enclave of activist leftists located just a few blocks from where George Floyd died while in police custody, has quickly fallen apart in just a few weeks.

"The residents are now stressed, worried for their own safety, but are still desperately trying to make it work.

"'Two weeks ago, dozens of multicolored tents appeared in the neighborhood park… The multiracial group of roughly 300 new residents seems to grow larger and more entrenched every day,' according to the Times.

"And with the homeless comes all the problems associated with the homeless, including 'heavy car traffic into the neighborhood, some from drug dealers.'

"There have already been two overdoses in the encampment, and that encampment was once a leafy park where everyone felt safe."

Minneapolis's message to the middle class is clear: move.

ITEM 5: Fox reported, "A federal judge said New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, Attorney General Letitia James, and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio exceeded their executive authority by limiting worship services and condoning mass protests as the state continues to reopen from corona virus restrictions.

"U.S. District Judge Gary L. Sharpe issued a preliminary injunction Friday on behalf of two Catholic priests -- Steven Soos and Nicholas Stamos -- and a trio of Orthodox Jewish congregants -- Elchanan Perr, Daniel Schonborn, and Mayer Mayerfeld -- in Brooklyn, represented by the Thomas More Society."

Bush 43 appointed Sharpe.

No one has killed more Americans this year than Cuomo and de Blasio.

ITEM 6: There is not much we can do about Red China gobbling up Hong Kong.
But we are doing what we can.

Biden wouldn't. Red China bought off his son for $1.5 billion.

ITEM 7: Fox reported, "Project 21 Black Leadership Network asked the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts to rescind Tina Fey's Mark Twain Prize for American Humor because the comedian recently asked NBCUniversal to have episodes of 30 Rock featuring characters using blackface removed from streaming platforms.

"'We are not trying to cancel Tina Fey. Tina Fey cancelled herself when she asked Hulu to purge offensive episodes of 30 Rock, calling the fruits of her creativity ugliness,' Project 21 member Horace Cooper wrote. 'We are simply alerting the Kennedy Center -- which has acted in the past to protect itself and the integrity of the Twain Prize -- to do so again in light of Tina Fey’s admission.'"

Apologies only encourage the mob. Apologies legitimize their anger and their arbitrary punishment.

Fey should have voted for Palin.

ITEM 8: The credentialed class takes a hit.
Now do affirmative action.

ITEM 9: The Daily Caller reported, "As calls to remove statues of former U.S. presidents and even Jesus Christ come, presumptive Democratic nominee for the 2020 presidential election Joe Biden has remained silent on the issue, even after his campaign was contacted about the matter.

"The Daily Caller reached out to the Biden campaign and asked them if the former vice president agrees with the Democrats who want to tear down statues of George Washington, Ulysses S. Grant, Theodore Roosevelt and some depictions of Jesus. The campaign was given over 24 hours to respond to the inquiry. They did not do so."

Biden's hiding.

Real reporters will flush him out.

ITEM 10: Succinct.
Division and diversion.

ITEM 11: United Press International reported, "U.S. consumer spending saw an 8.2% uptick in May, partly erasing plunges in the previous two months due to the economic crisis brought on by the corona virus pandemic.

"A Commerce Department report released Friday showed spending was up $994.5 billion. And while that's good news for the U.S. economy, it comes as personal income decreased $874.2 billion (4.2%) and disposable personal income decreased $911.1 billion (4.9%).

"Still, it made ground on some of the consumer spending lost in March (a drop of 6.6%) and April (a drop of 12.6%)."

Shutting down the economy over Kung Flu was the dumbest thing the USA has done since it re-elected Obama.

ITEM 12: United Press International reported, "10 people in Miami tested positive for West Nile disease, and the virus also was detected in Texas and Illinois this week as health officials raised alerts for the mosquito-borne illness."

Well, let's shut down the economy over this because, why not? We'll just print more money to make up for any losses.

ITEM 13: The Sun reported, "Tom Brady again defied corona virus safety advice to practice with his Tampa Bay Buccaneers teammates, despite the fact that two players recently tested positive for the virus.

"After getting flack for practicing with teammates on Tuesday after the athletes were warned about health risks, Brady shared a photo of himself at practice again to his Instagram story, along with a motivational quote from FDR: 'The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself.'"

2 athletes tested positive for a disease that kills old people, and people want to shut the league down?

Bravo. The NFL should not take a knee to BLM or covid-19.

ITEM 14: The Party of Dementia rolls on.
His grandfather, Durward, co-hosted Candid Camera with Alan Funt. He sued Rocky and Bullwinkle for their Kirwood Derby story arc.

ITEM 15: PJ Media reported, "This week, the legislature in California voted to remove the constitutional prohibition on 'discriminating against or granting preferential treatment to persons on the basis of race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin in public employment, public education, and public contracting.' That’s right, California just voted to allow racial and gender discrimination in all its public activities. The bill will move to the ballot in November for a popular vote."

The USA has done this for decades.

It is called affirmative action.

This makes it constitutional.

ITEM 16: June is National Accordion Awareness Month. A reader from Alaska wrote, "David Hidalgo of Los Lobos was the first person in a rock band I saw playing and incorporating the accordion regularly into rock and roll music.

"With so much talk these days about bending the knee to the mob, he was the first person that I witnessed to tell the mob to F off. Los Lobos opened for the Clash in a little music club the other year back, and about 100 unruly punk fans in a mosh pit in front of the stage started booing when he strapped on the accordion the first time for a song.

"Tall guy stood tall, cursed them out in East LA Spanish, tore into a great accordion riff and by the end of the set had tamed the unruly mob.

"The encore featured a solo accordion and by that point everyone was swinging to the music like any unruly Polish polka party in south Milwaukee where I grew up as a kid."

I had something else scheduled for accordion awareness, but after reading that, I had to find Hidalgo. I am glad I did.

ITEM 17: Michael Harriot reported, "Why We Never Talk About Black-on-Black Crime: An Answer to White America’s Most Pressing Question."

He said, "According to the FBI’s uniform crime-reporting data for 2016, 90.1% of black victims of homicide were killed by other blacks, while 83.5% of whites were killed by other whites. While no life is inconsequential, the statistical evidence shows that — just as for blacks when it comes to black-on-black crime — whites are mostly victimized by other whites, with the vast majority of white murders committed by whites. This is because most victims of crime personally know their assailants. And while this is a truth across racial boundaries, no one ever talks about white-on-white crime.

"Furthermore, the Bureau of Justice Statistics’ arrest data analysis tool shows that less than 1 percent of blacks overall (about 2% of black men) commit a violent crime in any given year. This means, factoring in interracial violent offenses, 99% of black men do not commit black-on-black crime."

I see.

If we dismiss 3,000 murders because they were black-on-black crimes, then why are we defunding the police over three justified homicides?

Yes, crime is segregated by race and nationality, but that does not excuse it. Harriot does not want to address the real threat to young black men because that would lead to changes in the power structure in the black community from which he and other race-baiters profit.

As the song says, "beware of the pat on the back/ It just might hold you back."

ITEM 18: BBC reported, "The United Nations says it is 'shocked and deeply disturbed' by footage of an apparent sex act in one of its official cars in Israel.

"The clip shows a woman in a red dress straddling a man in the back seat of a white 4x4 with UN markings. The video, shared widely on social media, was apparently filmed on a main street by Tel Aviv's seafront.

"The UN said it was investigating the incident and was close to identifying the individuals seen in the video. Those involved are believed to be staff members of a peacekeeping organisation in Israel, the UN said."

That's peacekeeping, P-E-A-C-E, not P-I-E-C-E.

But whatever happened to what happens on TDY stays on TDY?

ITEM 19The Associated Press reported, "The Minneapolis City Council on Friday unanimously approved a radical proposal to change the city charter that would allow the police department to be dismantled, following mass public criticism of law enforcement over the killing of George Floyd.

"The 12-0 vote is just the first step in a process that faces significant bureaucratic obstacles to make the November ballot, where the city’s voters would have the final say. And it came amid a spate of recent shootings in Minnesota’s largest city that have heightened many citizens’ concerns about talk of dismantling the department.

"The Minneapolis force has come under heavy pressure since Floyd, a black man in handcuffs, died May 25 after a police officer pressed his knee on Floyd’s neck for nearly eight minutes. Activists had long accused the department of being unable to change a racist and brutal culture, and earlier this month, a majority of the council proclaimed support for dismantling the department."

They may as well defund the fire department and the paramedics because firemen and medics will refuse to go to areas where they are not protected from street criminals -- thugs.

Public Enemy was prophetic when it sang 9-1-1 is a joke in your town. Flavor Flav was ahead of his time.

ITEM 20: PJ Media reported, "According to Ted Cruz, Attorney General Bill Barr Is the Honey Badger."

According to the absence of indictments, Barr is the Honey Boo-Boo of attorneys general.

ITEM 21: The fruits of the riots and looting continue to pour in.

FINALLY, as is custom, I will file two or three posts today, and be back on Monday.

Some readers have said they miss me on Sunday. The feeling is mutual, but I need the day off.

  1. 7 - will they cancel the Twain Prize as Mark Twain’s writings in Huck Finn, Tom Sawyer, etc. make prolific use of the n word?

11 - and the usual suspects want to shut it down again as the number of cases increase. I though we wanted herd immunity? Word here is that some ERs are being overrun and hospitals overwhelmed. Looks like they are going to force another shutdown.

14 - I remember George Kirby as a black comedian. I guess to Pelosi, all blacks look alike.

16 - who would have ever thought I would be wishing that every month is national Accordion month.

19 - “ firemen and medics will refuse to go to areas where they are not protected from street criminals -- thugs“. true that.

  7. Item #20 "According to the absence of indictments, Barr is the Honey Boo-Boo of attorneys general."

I sure hope Trump isn't relying on Barr to time indictments for an October surprise. I think the odds of Barr preparing his own October surprise for Trump are good. If Trump is smart, he has a backup plan for dealing with the coup perps. Relying on a swamp reptile, like Barr, is far too risky.

And, regarding the recent riots and property destruction, Trump needs to demonstrate he's a law-and-order president pretty darned quickly. His leadership moment on that issue is right now. Waiting until October for that is too little, too late. - Gary B

    1. Arrests are occurring but there are no perp walks. If you are after the worse offenders, ninja dressed ANTIFA and hard to ID, you need to arrest those identifiable and milk them for details about others. 8. #10) And here I thought it would require a constitutional amendment to counter the 23 Amendment
The District constituting the seat of Government of the United States shall appoint in such manner as the Congress may direct: A number of electors of
President and Vice President equal to the whole number of Senators and Representatives in Congress to which the District would be entitled if it were a State, but in no event more than the least populous State; they shall be in addition to those appointed by the States, but they shall be considered, for the purposes of the election of President and Vice President, to be electors appointed by a State; and they shall meet in the District and perform such duties as provided by the twelfth article of amendment.

". . . the District would be entitled if it were a State . . Silly me to misunderstand the 23 Amendment that gave the vote to D.C.
Both houses of Congress must propose an amendment with at least 2/3 votes. Approval was 60% of those voting.
Pelosi is so much smarter than me, so what am I missing.

  17. #20) I wonder, Don, if you read the entire article or listed to the linked interview. As I have written before, I too am frustrated with the slowest of the indictments, but as AG Barr said, the FBI doesn't walk the beat, they are an after the fact investigative organization. When the locals will not do their job it is much harder for the FBI/DoJ to do theirs. At 75 I strongly remember the Civil Rights movement and how long it took to get rid of Jim Crow and the patience MLK had in working the system to achieve equal rights.
