Lefty discovers his side is fascist

Matt Taibbi, the heir to the Hunter S. Thompson throne at Rolling Stone, discovered something amid the pandemic panic. He is horrified to learn that lefties are a bunch of fascists.

Given that their heroes are Stalin, Mao, and Castro, what did he think they were? Hippies?

And of course, Charles Manson begat the hippies.

But Taibbi blames President Donald John Trump.

Taibbi wrote, "Democrats Have Abandoned Civil Liberties. The Blue Party’s Trump-era Embrace of Authoritarianism Isn’t Just Wrong, It’s a Fatal Political Mistake."

Well, I sure hope fascism proves fatal.

He wrote, "Emmet G. Sullivan, the judge in the case of former Trump National Security Adviser General Michael Flynn, is refusing to let William Barr’s Justice Department drop the charge. He’s even thinking of adding more, appointing a retired judge to ask 'whether the Court should issue an Order to Show Cause why Mr. Flynn should not be held in criminal contempt for perjury.'"

The allegation of perjury stems from General Flynn pleading a guilty plea.

The judge would send an innocent man to prison for pleading guilty.

Taibbi went on to say, "Pundits are cheering. A trio of former law enforcement and judicial officials saluted Sullivan in the Washington Post, chirping, 'The Flynn case isn’t over until a judge says it’s over.' Yuppie icon Jeffrey Toobin of CNN and the New Yorker, one of the #Resistance crowd’s favored legal authorities, described Sullivan’s appointment of Judge John Gleeson as brilliant. MSNBC legal analyst Glenn Kirschner said Americans owe Sullivan a debt of gratitude.

"One had to search far and wide to find a non-conservative legal analyst willing to say the obvious, i.e. that Sullivan’s decision was the kind of thing one would expect from a judge in Belarus. George Washington University professor Jonathan Turley was one of the few willing to say Sullivan’s move could 'could create a threat of a judicial charge even when prosecutors agree with defendants.'"

A piece in 2018 by Michael Henry explained what the judge is doing.

Henry wrote, "Lavrentiy Beria, the most ruthless and longest-serving secret police chief in Joseph Stalin’s reign of terror in Russia and Eastern Europe, bragged that he could prove criminal conduct on anyone, even the innocent.

"'Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime' was Beria’s infamous boast. He served as deputy premier from 1941 until Stalin’s death in 1953, supervising the expansion of the gulags and other secret detention facilities for political prisoners. He became part of a post-Stalin, short-lived ruling troika until he was executed for treason after Nikita Khrushchev’s coup d’etat in 1953."

Having been shown the man, the judge searches for the crime.

This has been the state of liberalism and the witch hunts of Washington in the the attempt to stage a coup d'etat against President Trump.

Taibbi is beginning to see what conservatives saw.

And he does them one better. Russiagate (which Taibbi never believed) paired with covid-19 equals a disaster for the Constitution. He seems to think the voting public will punish Democrats for this.

His connection was brilliant.

He wrote, "Democrats clearly believe constituents will forgive them for abandoning constitutional principles, so long as the targets of official inquiry are figures like Flynn or Paul Manafort or Trump himself. In the process, they’ve raised a generation of followers whose contempt for civil liberties is now genuine-to-permanent. Blue-staters have gone from dismissing constitutional concerns as Trumpian ruse to sneering at them, in the manner of French aristocrats, as evidence of proletarian mental defect.

"Nowhere has this been more evident than in the response to the covid-19 crisis, where the almost mandatory take of pundits is that any protest of lockdown measures is troglodyte death wish. The aftereffects of years of Russiagate/Trump coverage are seen everywhere: press outlets reflexively associate complaints of government overreach with Trump, treason, and racism, and conversely radiate a creepily gleeful tone when describing aggressive emergency measures and the problems some 'dumb' Americans have had accepting them."

Allow me to interject.

Fascist Democrat governors have closed mom-and-pop shops while keeping Walmart open. What a reversal for Democrat opposition to Walmart to protect mom-and-pop shops. The heirs to Sam Walton were smart enough to pay off Democrats, who now are clearing out those mom-and-pop shops for the nation's largest retailer.

Mom-and-pop shops are the backbone of the American middle class. If there is such a thing as a spine-ectomy, that is what is going on.

Taibbi ended his piece, "My family is in quarantine, I worry about a premature return to work, and sure, I laughed at that Shaun of the Dead photo of Ohio protesters protesting state lockdown laws. But I also recognize the crisis is also raising serious civil liberties issues, from prisoners trapped in deadly conditions to profound questions about speech and assembly, the limits to surveillance and snitching, etc. If this disease is going to be in our lives for the foreseeable future, that makes it more urgent that we talk about what these rules will be, not less — yet the party I grew up supporting seems to have lost the ability to do so, and I don’t understand why."

50 years ago, lefties mourned the death of four Ohio protesters.

Now they hope every one of them gets covid-19 and dies.

Taibbi is appalled. We will see if he is disappeared by his employer.

  2. Yet, I do not see Taibbi quitting his dumbocrats. I bet Taibbi wishes for the simpler old days, when it was easy to spot his target: Busssshhh.

Shut yer yap, Taibbi. Your beloved dumbocrats were doing these bad things under the black Jesus. You remember the Lois Lerner scandal? Oh, but it was alright, as she was targeting right leaning groups, including Tea Partiers. You know, those teabaggers. How about when Obumbles spied on your fellow comrades in the media. Oh, that's right, it was someone from Fox News. Never mind.

Taibbi is one of the better writers on the leflt, but Don covered his past well; he grew up a hippie leftist, is still at heart, a hippie leftist, and will most likely die a hippie leftist. Look who he writes for. Which means, he'll continue to support his dumbocrats, or be unemployed. AFAIC, he can GFH.

    1. Just like most of the leftist press he was brain washed and programmed for this. How sad for the 4th estate and our country.

    2. Yeah, no argument there. That happened beginning with the boomers in the sixties. Stick it to the Man! They forgot how this country got to where it was at the time, and decided to throw every thing out.

Or, as Gump stated, stupid is as stupid does.

  4. I think Taibbi and Glenn Greenwald have seen the writing on the wall regarding the future of the enemedia and plan on being still standing after the meltdown. Believe it or not, not every lib was blind to the threat to Constitutional rights that Gaylord and his wingman regularly violated.

  5. Dan Bongino, former Secret Service agent on the Bush and Obama details, in today's podcast (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZ9cqYSMWFs&feature=youtube) explained that Gen. Flynn was not unmasked over the call from the Russian ambassador. The person who ordered the telephone surveillance of the Russian ambassador's call to Flynn when Flynn was on vacation in the Dominion Republic .was redacted. Federal law allows the President to order surveillance for National Security purposes for a year without a FISA warrant and no warrant, FISA or otherwise, was located during the investigations.. There is no record of a unmasking of Flynn for 5 days after the call, which seems strange. The most interesting aspect Dan's report was that per the FBI charging document to the court, Flynn was charged with lying about the Obama sanctions against Russian intelligence agencies over their attempt to interfere with our 2016 election. The FBI 302 write up of the FBI interview at the WH is missing for some unknown reason, however there are 2 revisions to the original 302 available and both show the FBI never asked Flynn about the sanctions; only about the expulsion of 35 Russian diplomats. They are separate issues in the executive order that the NYT and WaPo have acknowledged. And in Flynn's interview by the Daily Wire, also reported in the WaPo, he stated they were different issues and he only discussed the expulsions of the Russian diplomats. So for over 3 years no one until now has noticed that the criminal charge vs the 302 report on what Flynn was asked when interviewed are different.

  6. Maybe Matt IS genuinely shocked by the lust-for-blood glee shown by the LibCommie Jews on “his side.” Or maybe not. Alls I can say is, history has not been kind to the Hebrews who threw in with the Devil. If payback’s a bitch, eternal damnation is a doppelbitch. Don’t take my word for it, either.

    1. Can't disagree with that z. And the result it seems, is the Jew gets blamed for all the ills, due to a minority number of them turning. See the holocaust.

When I was young, I never understood the bias I saw against Jews. I don't like to group everyone in with the bad, but when you see bad ones like those on Mule ear's team, and all the ones in Hollyweird who have control, i.e., Weinstein, I started to see how their situations can and could be used to spotlight Jews. I keep saying that they are not helping their people with their bad behavior. But it keeps happening. And when large groups of people get it in their collective mind, that the Jews are the cause, here comes another holocaust.

    WELL, WELL, WELL.

Matt has discovered to his horror that his own side is --- well, whatever he wants to call it.

My sympathy for the man's epiphany is somewhat limited. Fills 1/100th of a thimble that fits Tom Thumb. Shows up occasionally, haphazardly under a microscope. Why, it's smaller than a midget ChiComm Virus spore.

Rot in hell, Matt. And thank you, Don, for the news.

Kulaks were peasants that were, effectively it seems, entrepreneurs. They resisted collectivization as ordered by Stalin.

    Kulaks had to be destroyed.

  11. One thing I notice about liberals when I talk politics with them... They will meticulously lay out all the talking points that have been regurgitated in the media for weeks on end on an issue... kind of like a mirror image of what we are endlessly fed on the news. When I get a chance to talk, I tell them what I really think and have analyzed from facts and my own research. They are always stunned and say "I haven't heard that before". They are unable to analyze the new information on the spot no matter how intelligent they are. Their critical thinking skills have been totally fried out. The only thing they trust is information from a few select approved sources. They can't think!
