Highlights of the News

The looters in Minnesota are not protesters and they are not black. But other than that, the media is as accurate as always in covering this circus.

ITEM 1: CNN's Van Jones said he has not seen black people this upset in 20 years. (Evidently he has forgotten Trayvon Martin.)

Black people who live in Minneapolis disagree.
Meanwhile, Race Riot Theater has replaced Virus Fear Porn on cable news. But what happened to Impeachment Knows Best and Leave It To Government Shutdown?

ITEM 2: Twitter's CEO shows he has lost touch with reality.

Twitter's CEO keeps poking the bear.

ITEM 3: United Press International reported, "Two Iron Age altars found inside an ancient shrine in Israel once held cannabis and frankincense, according to chemical analysis of the artifacts.

"The two limestone altars, one smaller altar and one larger altar, were found at the entrance to the Holy of Holies section of the shrine, located in the historic city of Tel Arad.

"The Holy of Holies section is typically defined by four pillars and described in the Hebrew Bible as the place where God dwells."

Scientists dated the bongs to just before Assyria conquered Israel and scattered 10 of the 12 tribes.

But hey, go ahead and legalize pot.

ITEM 4: The Hill reported, "Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is publicly urging judges in their mid- to late 60s to consider stepping aside ahead of Election Day to help ensure that their seats could be filled by Republicans.

"Asked during an interview with radio host Hugh Hewitt if he knew if any judges would take senior status, a semi-retirement status that opens up their seat, Graham said, 'If you are, take it."'

"'This is an historic opportunity. We’ve put over 200 federal judges on the bench. I think 1 in 5 federal judges are Trump appointees. ... So if you’re a circuit judge in your mid-60s, late 60s, you can take senior status; now would be a good time to do that if you want to make sure the judiciary is right of center. This is a good time to do it,' Graham added.

"He also encouraged judges who want to make sure a successor can be confirmed by the November election to announce their plans to retire sooner rather than later, adding that he would 'need some time' to get them through the committee.

"It's the latest sign that Republicans are preparing for the possibility that they lose control of either the Senate or the White House in November."

Don't be a Ginsburg.

ITEM 5: While Minnesota burns, CNN made the story about CNN by having a news crew arrested on live TV. Apparently they weren't social distancing.

The Minnesota State Patrol tweeted, "In the course of clearing the streets and restoring order at Lake Street and Snelling Avenue, four people were arrested by State Patrol troopers, including three members of a CNN crew. The three were released once they were confirmed to be members of the media."

CNN whined in a tweet, "This is not accurate -- our CNN crew identified themselves, on live television, immediately as journalists.  We thank Minnesota Democrat Governor Tim Walz for his swift action this morning to aid in the release of our crew."

What part of confirmed does CNN not understand?

But they made the story about them (also known as Acosta-ing) so it was a mission accomplished.

ITEM 6: NJ.com reported, "New Jersey Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli and senior officials in Democrat Governor Phil Murphy’s administration clashed behind the scenes over the cost of a $500,000 contract for a consultant the state hired to help navigate the deadly corona virus crisis inside the state’s nursing homes, NJ Advance Media has learned.

"Murphy announced May 6 that Persichilli had retained Manatt Health, a national health advisory consulting group, to assess the state’s response to the corona virus in long-term care facilities, where one in 13 residents have died in the pandemic. And Persichilli seemed in full accord with the governor. “They’re going to hit the ground running,” she said of the high-profile consultants.

"But inside the administration, a different story was playing out.

"In private conversations recorded without her knowledge and shared by a source with NJ Advance Media, Persichilli complained about the cost of the three-week contract with Manatt and the company’s lack of experience with running nursing homes. In the recording, she tells several unnamed colleagues that she initially had refused to sign it — even as she came under pressure from the governor’s top advisors."

The Democrat Party motto is Never Let A Crisis Go To Waste.

ITEM 7: PJ Media reported, "Rioters in Columbus, Ohio, launched an attack on the Statehouse in the early hours of Friday morning to protest the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis. Floyd, who was unarmed and subdued with handcuffs, died after a police officer pinned his neck to the ground with his knee and held it there until he stopped breathing.

"Protests and riots are ongoing in several cities around the U.S., including Minneapolis and St. Paul, Memphis, Louisville, Denver, and Los Angeles.

"The Statehouse in Columbus came under attack, with rioters breaking windows and some entering the building. There are unconfirmed reports that the protesters damaged the interior of the building."

This is a George Soros Production.

ITEM 8: Just the News reported, "The Minneapolis police officer who was kneeling on George Floyd's neck during the arrest that would lead to Floyd's death has been arrested and charged with murder, city officials reported Friday.

"Minnesota Department of Public Safety Commissioner John Harrington confirmed that Derek Chauvin, one of the four police officers fired after the incident that ended with Floyd dead, was arrested by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension on Friday.

"Following the arrest, Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman said Chauvin has been charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter."

Meanwhile, BET reported, "George Floyd Autopsy Claims No Findings Of 'Traumatic Asphyxia Or Strangulation.' The Floyd family is now asking for an independent autopsy."

The case is complicated.

They always are.

ITEM 9: Ben Weingarten reported, "Here’s 23 Questions Joe Biden Needs To Answer About China."

There is only one question to answer.

If his father's vice presidency was worth $1.5 billion to Hunter, how much will a presidency be worth?

Plugs may use his pocket calculator to determine this.

ITEM 10: Fox News reported, "President Trump on Friday announced that the U.S. is "terminating" its relationship with the embattled World Health Organization (WHO) over its failure to enact reforms in the face of U.S. concerns over its handling of the coronavirus pandemic and its pro-China bias.

"'Because they have failed to make the requested and greatly needed reforms, we will be today be terminating our relationship with the World Health Organization and redirecting those funds to other worldwide and deserving urgent global public health needs,' Trump said at a press conference.

"Trump froze U.S. funding to the organization this month, and later made that freeze permanent. The U.S. had been the top contributor to the agency."

Just a reminder, Donald John Trump is still our president.

ITEM 11: The president also spoke about Red China.
How about quarantining all cargo and cargo ships from Red China for 30 days?

1TEM 12: Fox News reported, "Minneapolis mayor gives masks to crowding rioters after warning in-person worship would be 'public health disaster.'"

Don't worry. Most of them are Antifa and they already had masks.

ITEM 13: A reader wrote, "Recently I looked for it, but it was gone: the Diplomad used to be at thediplomadDOTcom, but somehow his domain got sold to someone else, so now he’s at https://thediplomad.blogspot.com/

"This site is run by a very experienced retired foreign officer, and he’s instructed and amused me for a long time. He’s a strong Trump supporter, gun owner & collector, and a slave to his wife, who likes paella at Thanksgiving."

I checked it out.

Diplomad reported, "Nightmare dealing with GoDaddy.com. They apparently mistakenly assigned thediplomad domain to another account, and that account holder deleted the account, but still retains control of the domain name. Right. So I am back to blogspot.com for now. I can't link to my old pieces unless I go in and change each address, I guess.

"Anyhow, I will keep working on it. If you can get the word out to the other five or six readers, I would much appreciate it."

Done.

ITEM 14: Ace reported, "Even as Public is Locked Down With Little to Do But Watch TV, Cord Cutting Explodes and Pay TV Is Hit With Its Worst Losses Ever."

Maybe Comcast should not have had all its NBC stars all push this Stay At Home propaganda because without a job, people cannot afford cable.

Someone should have thought this through.

Oh well.

ITEM 15: Simple advice for Antifa.
Only dogs should chase cars.

ITEM 16: Promote the viral video, they said.

Have endless panels denounce the police, they said.

Call looting peaceful protest, they said.

Have your crew arrested on live TV, they said.

What bad could happen, they said.
I don't believe in karma. After all, what did the 5-year-old do to get leukemia?

But I do know that you reap what you sow.
By the way, liberals, Antifa does not care about your precious gun control. They just want power.

FINALLY, a group of Karens just talked to my manager because they did not like an item in yesterday's highlights in which I asked readers what do we call a group of Karens. The Karens did not bring a Valentine.

Officially, they are called a Complaint of Karens, but I had my own idea. A Headache of Karens.

Readers had their own ideas.

A Migraine of Karens.

A Gaggle of Karens.

A Koven of Karens.

A Privilege of Karens.

A Clutter of Karens.

A Swarm of Karens.

A Crush of Karens.

A Colostomy of Karens.

A Meddle of Karens.

A PMS of Karens.

A Murder of Karens (as in a Murder of Crows).

An Eyeroll of Karens.

A Kluster of Karens.

An Aggravation of Karens.

A Pandemic of Karens.

A Screech of Karens.

A Fussbucket of Karens.

A Dreck of Karens.

A Cacophony of Karens.

A Cudgel of Karens.

A Scold of Karens.

A Koffee Klatch of Karens.

A Tattle of Karens.

A Pearl Clutch of Karens.

A Bowel of Karens.

A Cramp of Karens.

A Pique of Karens.

An Exasperation of Karens.

A Cringe of Karens.

A Psychosis of Karens.

Now then, the manager is not very happy with this and does not want any more reader suggestions on what to call a group of them, which would cause a Return of the Karens.

Well, you know how well I get along with management.

  2. ITEM #1: Keep wondering where are some of the cast of Race Riot Theater? Have they forgotten their lines?

Has Biden spoken out against the looting and destruction? Has he kibitzed with what HE would do to put a stop to it?

What has Pelosi said about the chaos and ruin?

Or Hillary. Who compared open back up protestors to domestic terrorists. What does she feel about these rioters who are wreaking havoc on small businesses and neighborhoods?

Then then there's the silence of AOC. Cat your tongue or what?

Best they can muster is to call out Trump.

ITEM #14 Just another of the scores of unintended consequences, many befalling the media cheerleaders of the shutdown. Couldn't happen to a nicer group.

  15. In the case of George Floyd, you make assertions that haven't been proven. That's what due process is about. There's a finding of the facts, evidence, Judge, Jury, and a verdict. Until then a defendant is presumed innocent until adjudged guilty in a Court of law.
