Highlights of the News

Mitt Romney begged Donald John Trump to endorse him in 2012. The Donald did. Mittens not only failed to reciprocate but he campaigned against him in 2016. Mittens begged President Trump to endorse him in 2018 for the Senate. The president did. Mittens voted to remove him from office.

I see Republicans are taking my advice from before there was an impeachment.

ITEM 1Arutz Sheva reported, "The Trump administration does not view the new Israeli government's July 1 deadline to begin the process of applying sovereignty over Judea and Samaria as a do or die date, a senior US official told Barak Ravid of Channel 13 News on Tuesday.

"The coalition deal that allowed Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to form a new government says he can bring the understandings with the Trump administration on sovereignty up for a vote in the cabinet or in the Knesset as early as July 1 — but only with the full agreement of the White House.

"The report comes as Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will arrive in Jerusalem on Wednesday to meet with Netanyahu, incoming Minister of Defense Benny Gantz, and incoming Minister of Foreign Affairs Gabi Ashkenazi.

"Pompeo was non-committal on the timetable for sovereignty in an interview published on Tuesday in the Israel Hayom newspaper, saying that the decision to apply sovereignty is Israel’s to make."

The story ended with a quote from an unnamed administration official, who said, "If the Palestinians continue to refuse to come to the table it will make our decision-making regarding annexation much easier."

Obama ain't president. The appeasement is over.

ITEM 2: Just The News reported, "Critics say black men were disproportionately hit by Obama-Biden campus sexual assault rules denying due process and are cheering the Trump administration's reversal of those policies.

"On Wednesday, the Department of Education released new Title IX regulations that codify the obligation of schools to investigate claims of sexual assault and harassment. Previous rules under the Obama administration laid the groundwork for what exists today on many campuses: byzantine sexual misconduct disciplinary systems that investigate and punish all manner of sex-related behavior — from sexually suggestive jokes to drunken couplings to forcible rape. Critics say these extra-judicial systems often abandon the presumption of innocence and stack the deck against accused students, denying them basic due process.

"'Once again, the Trump administration is righting a wrong perpetrated by Joe Biden, who as Vice President spearheaded a Title IX initiative that attempted to overhaul the assumptions on which our legal system is built and undermined the ability of the accused, usually men and often men of color, to get a fair hearing,' Andrew Clark, Rapid Response Director for the Trump campaign, wrote in a press statement. 'Black men were disproportionately hurt by Biden’s campus sexual assault policy.'

"In his statement, Clark linked to a 2018 report from The College Fix titled, 'Believe the survivor? Here’s 11 times young black men were railroaded by campus sexual assault claims.'"

When Democrats ran the South, they denied black men their basic rights in rape cases. Now Democrats run the universities.

ITEM 3: Rasmussen reported, "The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 54% of Likely Democratic Voters are satisfied with Biden as the Democrats’ 2020 nominee. 28% think the party should find someone else to be their nominee, while another 18% are undecided."

Democrats got stuck with the Old Maid card.

Here is hoping the nation doesn't get stuck.

ITEM 4: The Daily Caller News Foundation reported, "Pro-Trump Ad Plays Reade’s Allegations Over Pictures Of Biden Touching Women."

It was done by a PAC not the official campaign.

If The Donald did it, the ad would have had music. Maurice Chevalier singing, "Thank Heaven For Little Girls."

ITEM 5: Byron York wrote, "The big thing we still don't know about the Michael Flynn Case."

The FBI does not record interviews. Instead, the agent writes what was said in a form 302.

York said, "If someone is going to be charged with lying to the FBI, it will be on the basis of what is in the 302. There's no recording and no other witnesses in the room. If an interview subject claims not to have said something, the proof otherwise is the 302 and the agents' word. So the 302 is obviously critical if the Justice Department chooses to charge someone for lying in an FBI interview."

Now for the punchline: "Michael Flynn's defense has never seen the original 302. Never. Flynn, under enormous pressure from Trump-Russia special counsel Robert Mueller, pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI without ever reading what Pientka originally wrote about the interview."

Now I can see why the Deep State wants the Flynn case dropped like a hot potato.

The cover-up is worse than the crime, and these dogs buried that 302. This is not just a miscarriage of justice. This is a Soviet-style frame-up by the KGB.

ITEM 6: The New York Post ran editorial, "It looks like President Obama ordered up phony RussiaGate scandal."

It ended, "Comey himself gave Trump an intentionally misleading briefing on the Steele dossier. That was followed by leaks that suggested the dossier was the tip of an iceberg, rather than a pack of innuendo that hadn’t at all checked out under FBI scrutiny.

"Pulitzer Prizes were won for blaring utter fiction; the Trump administration was kneecapped out of the gate. Innocents like Flynn were bankrupted along the way.

"Say this about Obama: He knows how to play dirty."

But how good is he at making license plates?

I sure would love to find out.

ITEM 7: Flashback to November 20, 2019, when Kyle Smith wrote, "When the villain is Obama, not Trump, news suddenly becomes not worth reporting."

This explains the lockdown on media reports of Obama using the FBI as his KGB to spy on President Donald John Trump, which Obama covered up by gaslighting the president with the Russian Collusion hoax.

ITEM 8: The Daily Wire reported, "Senate Republicans will investigate the Obama administration’s decision to target national security adviser Michael Flynn following the 2016 presidential election, but they do not intend to subpoena former President Barack Obama or require him to testify in front of a panel, Politico reports.

"Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-SC) told media Tuesday that his committee is prepared to investigate former Obama administration officials, particularly officials affiliated with the Department of Justice, and the FBI over their targeting of Flynn in light of Attorney General William Barr’s decision to drop perjury charges against the former national security advisor. Barack Obama will likely be left off the list of those asked to testify."

That's because Obama and his KGB have the goods on them.

ITEM 9The New York Post reported, "NBA legend Dennis Rodman dished on his longtime bromance with the North Korean despot — revealing how the pair partied with hotties and vodka when they first met.

"Rodman, now 58, went to Pyongyang in 2013 on a trip with the Harlem Globetrotters and dignitaries, he said on ex-boxer Mike Tyson’s HotBoxin’ podcast last week.

"'I’m thinking I’m going to do an autograph show or play basketball. I ain’t know anything about North Korea, stupid as f–k, right?' he said.

"When Kim went to greet Rodman following a basketball game, the ex-hoopster said he didn’t know who the leader was.

"'He asked ‘You like my country?’ and I said ‘yeah, it’s fine, it’s cool, it’s okay.’

"The now 36-year-old dictator then told him: 'We asked Michael Jordan to come but he wouldn’t come so we asked you.'"

Scottie Pippen hardest hit.

ITEM 10: The Hill reported, "Large national advertisers such as Pepsi Co., General Motors and General Mills are scaling back deals they made with cable TV networks by up to 50% in the third quarter, according to the Wall Street Journal.

"TV ad spending fell earlier this year as the country initially responded to the corona virus pandemic but was shielded from a drop comparable to other industries because the majority of TV advertising is bound by contracts that are made in advance of the new TV season, which starts each September.

"Under those deals companies have the opportunity to refinance their contracts, giving them the option to cut up to 50% of their spending, which several companies are considering, according to the Journal. Those options have existed in the contracts for years but the pandemic has presented the first situation where ad buyers have considered using it to its full extent.

"Ad buyers estimate that roughly $1 billion to $1.5 billion in commitments for third-quarter ad spending could be canceled, according to the Journal."

I sense the stay-at-home campaign is about to lose a lot of media support.

ITEM 11: Morningstar reported, "U.S. consumer prices in April posted their largest monthly decline since the last recession after energy prices collapsed and efforts to contain the new coronavirus disrupted demand for a wide array of goods and services.

"The Labor Department said the consumer-price index fell by 0.8% last month, the second month in a row prices have eased since the pandemic reached the U.S. and the biggest drop since 2008. Business closures and stay at home orders aimed at containing the virus have created cheap oil, and falling prices for airfares, clothing, cars and other goods and services.

"Excluding the volatile food and energy categories, so-called core prices decreased 0.4%, the largest monthly drop in records dating to 1957."

The good news is gasoline went up 33 cents a gallon in the last 2 weeks in the Greater Poca area, rising from a dangerously low $1.52 a gallon to $1.85. That means people are out and about again.

ITEM 12: reported, "A federal judge on Monday said Gov. Mike DeWine’s administration has a legal right to close nonessential businesses during the corona virus pandemic, ruling against a Columbus bridal shop’s lawsuit seeking to force the state to offer appeals hearings to closed businesses.

"Chief U.S. District Judge Algenon L. Marbley said that Gilded Social: The Fancy Occasion shop had not been singled out by not being offered a way to contest being ruled nonessential immediately. Marbley said the state has a legitimate justification for its business restrictions."

Clinton judge.

Someone point me to the part of the Constitution that allows the government to decide what is essential. And if your business is not essential, why should it pay taxes?

ITEM 13: Just The News reported, "The $3 trillion corona virus stimulus bill that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi released Tuesday includes  $25 billion for the United States Postal Service as well as new federal requirements that states must meet for allowing citizens to vote by mail in the November election.

"According to a roughly 1,400-page draft of the proposed corona virus stimulus legislation, the measure also includes $1 trillion in increased federal assistance to state, local, territorial and tribal governments, an additional $75 billion for corona virus testing as well as additional direct stimulus payments of $1,200 per individual and up to $6,000 for each household.

"The legislation, titled the HEROES Act, would provide $3.6 billion to expand vote by mail and ensure that "every voter can access no-excuse absentee vote-by-mail."

The story also said, "The legislation would amend the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 to 'prohibit states from requiring voter registration applicants to provide more than the last four digits of their social security numbers.'"

Why not implement Voting By Tombstone and be done with the pretense of fair elections?

ITEM 14: The Seattle Times reported, "To reopen, Washington state restaurants will have to keep log of customers to aid in contact tracing."

1984 arrived in the form of an overblown virus that has killed 24/100ths of 1% of the population.

Communists are pretty damned good at propaganda.

ITEM 15: The New York Post reported, "Four cruise ship workers have died in the last 10 days from non-corona virus causes as their vessels remain stranded at sea, according to a report.

"With cruise trips canceled and more than 70,000 workers marooned on ships across US waters, several workers have committed suicide, CBS News reports.

"One man on Saturday died of an apparent suicide on the Carnival Breeze as it headed from the Bahamas to Europe on a trip to repatriate its crew, and the next day, a 39-year-old Ukrainian woman died after jumping from the Regal Princess outside of the Netherlands, the outlet reported.

"That same Sunday a worker died of natural causes on the Royal Caribbean’s Mariner of the Seas, a company spokesman told CBS.

"The string of deaths began on May 2, when a crew member died after falling overboard off the Royal Caribbean’s Jewel of the Seas."

This is a metaphor for the Pandemic Panic. Instead of quarantining the old and the infirm, we locked everyone up. The consequences are enormous and sickening.

ITEM 16: The DC press corps blew it. Brit Hume rubs their noses in it.
Rotten to the core.

ITEM 17: Democrat caught doing a threesome resigned, which led to a special election. The result was like an episode from Star Trek.
The Trouble With Throuples.

That's a pickup for Republicans, who retained Sean Duffy's seat in Wisconsin's special congressional election.

  1. What was it I posted about two months ago re my 50-0 prediction on Mr. T? “California will capitulate.” John Legend goes nuts for some guy named Thunderstorm via Skype and the sound quality (with no session band supporting) is like tin-cans-and-string. GO AHEAD, MAKE MY DAY, Cali. Shut down til the end of July? Yeahhhh, riiiiight....

    1. LA is trying to stay closed until end of AUGUST. WTH? These people are insane.

  2. 10 - so many of the commercials continue the brainwashing - we are in this together. Blah blah blah. Glad they will cut back.

    13 - Pelosi is shameless.

14 - contact tracing. Hell no.

    1. -Glad they will cut back.

Couldn't agree with you more. Those are some of the most annoying things I've seen, even more so than the Tom Steyr ads.

  3. -It ain't over til it's over.
The judge said he wasn't going to dismiss the Flynn case. Instead, he's allowing time for 'friend of the court' briefs in spite of the DOJ dropping the charges. The judge is on a fishing expedition for some excuse to continue persecuting Flynn.
    A Clinton judge.

    1. To put icing on that cake, the judge had barred any friend of the court briefs earlier in this case. This is explicit in Powell's response to this political move (prompted most likely by Obama lying that Flynn was charged with perjury). I wonder what kind of dance move Sullivan will try now that he is having his own rulings thrown back at him.

    2. I need more popcorn. I am really sorry that Flynn had to go through all of this but now it has become a game of twister to see who can contourt enough to keep the goal but stay out of hot seat. The trouble with twister, is usually everyone fails as the game evolves. God, I hope they all bite the dust.

    3. Ted Stevens unavailable for comment.
You'd think judge Sullivan would have learned his lesson from that case

    4. This comment has been removed by the author.

    5. That Form 302 is the case breaker-no 302 no conviction.

  4. 2. Under biden's title ix rules, he would be found guilty of attacking Reade.

    5. Seems that emmett sullivan likes getting played by corrupt prosecutors. Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. Three times is enemy action. If he tolerates this action without penalty to the prosecutor you can bet he'll see it again.

    8. Senate republicans only bluster. Nothing ever comes from their investigations. Save the money.

    17. Has the fat lady sung?

    1. 2. Under biden's title ix rules, he would be found guilty of attacking Reade.

Naw. With leftists, it's rules for thee but not for me. See the Obumble administration's weaponization of the DOJ, FBI, and CIA, to go after their political enemies.

    2. 17: She's just started tuning up. Gonna be a long summer and a hard Fall for the Demos (pun intended).

    3. Right you are, Jim. The Gowdy/Issa playbook. Act tough, pound your chest, then go have cocktails with the enemy. And, when Republican voters get worn our from you BS, become a lobbyist. It's a flawless business model. - Gary B

    4. "Journalism" today is more like professional wrestling; both sides put on a good show and draw a fat pay check. They just have to keep the drama going to stir up the base.

  5. Item 4: Wow. Someone actually DID grab a woman by her p***y and Democrats prefer him for president.

David Mamet is correct again: "In order for the left to believe their illogical belief systems, they have to pretend not to know a lot of things."

  6. Item 1: Funny, the land of the Jews - Judea, and the land of the Samaritans - possible Jews, isn't considered part of Israel anyway....

    1. That will eventually change because nobody screws up their own cause like the Arabs.

Jeremiah prophesied in Chapter 31, "Vineyards will again be planted on the mountains of Samaria." That is already happening.

  7. ITEM 8: "That's because Obama and his KGB have the goods on them."

We are all learning about that leverage now. It helps explain a lot of what is going on in D.C. Like why Roberts ruled as he did on Obumblecare, as just one example.

  10. Black Lady Dresses for Success

  11. 2: Still the party of Jim Crow.

3: The country has never like the Old Maid.

    5: They've been doing it since '35.

    12: You broke the code.

14: 1984 arrived in the form of an overblown virus that has killed 24/100ths of 1% of the population.

17: The Demos are really scared now. Think ahead to November
