Mini Mike embraces Anybody But Bernie

Three weeks ago -- before the voting in Iowa or New Hampshire -- I pointed out the Democrat Establishment had begun an Anybody But Bernie effort. Their problem with Bernie is he articulates the real Democrat plans that Democrats want to keep hidden.

Mini Mike Bloomberg has gone public with the effort.

The New York Times reported, "Michael R. Bloomberg’s campaign mounted a direct offensive against a Democratic opponent for the first time, as Bernie Sanders shot back by accusing the billionaire of trying to buy the presidency."

Mini Mike's pitch is that he will be the anti-Bernie, anti-President Donald John Trump candidate. His excuse for attacking Bernie is that Bernie Bros mocked Mini Mike online.

Mocked!

Kevin Sheekey, Mini Mike’s campaign manager, told the Times, "It’s a shameful turn of events to see Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump deploy the very same attacks and tactics against Mike, but the reason is clear. At this point, the primary is Bernie’s to lose, and ours to win. Bernie knows this. Trump knows this. That’s why they are united in the campaign against Mike."

The Times reported, "The Bloomberg campaign statement detailed a half-dozen anti-Bloomberg statements from Sanders surrogates and staff, calling them unacceptable. One, a tweet from the Sanders campaign’s national press secretary, Briahna Joy Gray, called Mr. Bloomberg a 'racist authoritarian.'"

In a 1,600-word, triple-bylined piece, the Times could not find space to quote exactly what Mini Mike said.

Fox News found space.

In a 2011 interview, Mini Mike said, "Well, for a long time, people have said there's nothing you can do about it, but blacks and Latinos score terribly in school testing compared to whites and Asians. If you look at our jails, it’s predominantly minorities."

He also said, "If you look at where crime takes place, it’s in minority neighborhoods. If you look at who the victims and the perpetrators are, it’s virtually all minorities. This is something that has gone on for a long time. I assume it’s prevalent elsewhere but it’s certainly true in New York City. And for many, many years, people said there's just nothing you can do about it."

He also said, "Nevertheless, there's this enormous cohort of black and Latino males, age, let’s say, 16 to 25, that don't have jobs, don't have any prospects, don't know how to find jobs, don't know what their skill sets are, don't know how to behave in the workplace where they have to work collaboratively and collectively."

Now I know why the Times did not quote him.

Mini Mike's efforts to stop Bernie are part of the Napoleon of Manhattan's plan to own the Democrat Party. Sanders is drawing Obama-like crowds. His Achilles heel is lifelong sloth which will mean he will be easily fatigued in this campaign.

But he has the prattle down pat. Bernie said, "It is not only a rigged economy, it is a corrupt political system.

"It is a system that allows billionaires like Trump to get massive amounts of campaign contributions from his millionaire friends. Mr. Bloomberg, like anybody else, has a right to run for president. He does not have a right to buy the presidency. Especially after being mayor of New York and having a racist stop-and-frisk policy, especially after opposing a raise in the minimum wage."

Democrats have two problems. If they do not nominate Bernie, they lose his voters. If they nominate him, they lose everyone else.

This is the undercard to the big show in November. It's like watching the XFL as we await the real game in the fall.

  2. More like the USFL, with Trump and his bankrupt New Jersey Generals. There's a reason his broke ass couldn't buy into the NFL.

    3. If the "king of debt" is so wealthy, then why doesn't he pay it off. Leveraged & broke does not a billionaire make. You must thing the Apprentice was real? Are you a big Honey boo boo fan?

    4. Trump had to file a financial disclosure form with the FEC when he ran for President.

It is publicly available, and of course the D's pored over it looking for anything they could claim was a false statement.

It shows a net worth of over $10 Billion.

As usual, the anti-Trump propaganda is provably false. It only takes a few seconds to find the facts, but the haters believe the propaganda for years without bother to check.

  3. Mini Mike is correct in all the above quotes.

  5. Sometimes facts are racists - well, not exactly racists, but race based facts that are not very nice on the surface. It's very sad what the democrats have done to the black community and the sooner the TRUTH is faced and efforts made to reverse the destruction, the sooner the black communities can recover. I think PRESIDENT TRUMP'S policies are having a positive effect - just needs to expand!

  6. Someday when this is all over, the Mike Bloomberg Story will be written.

It will be a short story.

BTW - Don I like the inside Newspaper stuff "NYT in triple bylined could not quote mike" is a refreshing perspective

Bernie is an old pol cat. He's very political and knows what the deal is. He knows that the fix is in for Mini Mike. He KNOWS that the Clinton machine knows he knows.

Now it's all about what Bernie does with the Bernie-acs.

I made a prediction that Klouch would be nominee and Newsom would be VP nominee.

Let me clue everyone in as to what the Dems are doing. They are conceding to Trump. I know I know it does not look like it. But in reality the Dems are positioning Newsom to be the VP for Candidate X who will run a "good campaign" and politely lose.

AKA the Dem's version of Romney

Newsom can't have his very 2024 or 2028 properly manicured hair brand get tainted by Bernie. So the Dem's needed a stooge to play Presidential pinch hitter. Enter Mini Mike

The whole playing field has changed. I put my money on Klouch or Butt getting the peace prize.

But Mini Mike will spend 1-2 BILLION on his Ego self gratification exercise.

That is 1+ Billion in advertising that will put Bloomberg and (insert Dem Heiress here) on every TV and Billboard in America AND THAT gets the DEM leadership in line pronto.

So floating the Hillary VP thing was just a trial balloon. But a Balloon that TOLD all the Clinton sympathizers that Hillary was onboard with Mini Mike (yes he bailed out the Clinton Foundation in 2019 probably).

Anyways, it's all on Bernie this time and I don't know what he will be asking for. But the Dem's ability to pay him off is pretty negligible.

I wonder if Trump could offer him a better deal?

A great deal maker could make that happen

    1. Gamer, as the old saying goes, “Money talks, and bullshite walks.” Mike has the money, Bernie has the bullshite, and I’d resign if I were a Milwaukee police officer.

    2. If Newsom is the candidate in 2024 and Trump Jr. for the Republicans, then Kimberly Guilfoyle can claim she slept with both men, and by then she may be able to claim, married to both.

  8. Mike Bloomberg (and Rudy Giuliani before him) saved the lives of thousands of black and Hispanic men, boys, and girls. By targeting the thugs who preyed on them. But to get the Democratic nomination he has to disavow those life-saving techniques because BLM would rather sacrifice their brothers and sisters in the name of black solidarity. F**kin insane but that's Democratic woke politics these days.

    1. Bloomberg is a true danger to democratic governance. By getting the nomination and losing the election Bernie may end up saving the country.

    2. Tars, I was thinking the same thing. I'm no Bloomberg fan at all but he kept doing what Guliani invented and it was working. He doesn't think it's pc stuff now but it was effective and saved many lives.

    3. Mini Mike was successful with Rudy's gameplay. He was a failure when going out on his own - big gulps, salt, failure to plow the streets, etc. He would be a disaster as president.

  9. Years back, someone I know who had done well for himself in California decided that he'd had enough of California's state income tax - so, doing what many successfully Californians did, they relocated to Incline Village, Nevada. That's a very scenic spot on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe, still relatively close to access to the Bay Area, and with Nevada's state income tax of zero.

After some years, they left Incline Village for elsewhere; the comment I got about this was that "The billionaires are driving out the millionaires!"

Sounds like the situation in the D party these days - the billionaire(s) are driving out the millionaires.
