In the movie The Sixth Sense, the hero, Malcolm Crowe (Bruce Willis), does not realize he is dead.
That was 20 years ago.
Today, the mass media are Malcolm Crowe, stumbling about and talking among themselves. The media died of credibility poisoning. No longer believed by a majority of Americans, the operatives in the media mistake being impotent for being important.
Rasmussen reported, "Most voters don’t expect fair play from the media when it comes to news coverage of the Democrats’ impeachment attempt.
"53% of Likely U.S. Voters think most reporters are trying to help impeach President Trump when they write or talk about the impeachment effort. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that just 32% believe most reporters are simply interested in reporting the news in an unbiased manner. 8% say most are trying to block Trump’s impeachment."
The story also said, "90% of voters who Strongly Approve of the job Trump is doing think most reporters are trying to help impeach the president."
That is a problem because in order to remove President Donald John Trump from office, Democrats have to win over about half his voters.
How can Democrats sell removal from office when their target audience does not believe their media servants?
But blissfully absent of self-awareness, the media types hype a nonsensical impeachment.
On Friday, the press falsely accused President Donald John Trump of "witness intimidation" over 2 tweets.
What intimidation? He already fired her.....They call it “serving at the pleasure of the President.” The U.S. now has a very strong and powerful foreign policy, much different than proceeding administrations. It is called, quite simply, America First! With all of that, however, I have done FAR more for Ukraine than O.— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 15, 2019
But they lie and lie and lie some more hoping that if they lie enough, it will stick.
Politico reported, "In an extraordinary moment during the impeachment hearings, the ousted Ukraine ambassador was asked to respond in real time to a Twitter broadside from President Donald Trump in which he accused her without evidence of causing destruction during her diplomatic tours.
"'I actually think that where I've served over the years, I and others have demonstrably made things better, you know, for the U.S. as well as for the countries that I've served in,' Marie Yovanovitch said when Trump's tweets were read out loud during Friday's impeachment hearing.
"It was an attack House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff called 'witness intimidation,' and which Democrats were seizing on as potential obstruction by the president."
And by Democrats, Politico meant just about every news outlet in Washington, including Politico and Fox News (Bret Baier).
But it is not witness intimidation no matter how many times they repeat it. Just as there are four lights, not five, so it goes with President Trump's innocence. No matter how many times they say witness intimidation, there is no witness intimidation.
Just as there was no genocide of Kurds.
Just as there was no collapse of the economy in the trade war with Red China.
Just as there was no World War 3 with Iran.
Just as there was no World War 3 with North Korea.
Just as there was no World War 3 with Syria.
Just as there was no Russian Collusion.
The media is Pravda and real Americans must react accordingly. Do not go by just what they report. Look for what they do not report.
For example, if Democrats have such an airtight case against The Donald, why are they scrounging around and trying to turn tepid tweets into a felony?
Hume knows road apples when he sees them. The fact that Trump’s gratuitous tweet against Fmr. Amb. Yovanovich became the big news of the day tells you how little her testimony added to the case for impeachment. Not her fault, she just didn’t know much about the central issues in the case.— Brit Hume (@brithume) November 15, 2019
