The stories the press missed

In 2016, every national reporter missed the presidential election story. They all thought the story was that America would elect its first girl president after electing 44 boy presidents.

The real story was an amateur running for office for the first time with a ragtag army headed by a former beauty queen defeated a billion dollar political machine.

Oh, a few regional reporters understood the full fury and despair in flyover country, most notably Salena Zito. But national journalists are pack animals who would rather impress their colleagues than inform the public.

They see themselves as experts on national politics -- and they blew the one national election we hold every four years.

Six months later, they blew it again.

On March 4, 2017, President Donald John Trump gifted reporters with the Mother of all Watergates.
Instead of following the tip which would have lead directly to Obama abusing national intelligence resources to spy on political opponents, the national reporters mocked President Trump.
Even today they will not bring themselves to admit that Obama spied in a manner worse than anything Nixon imagined.

Two years later -- after the Mueller Report exonerated President Trump -- national reporters missed a third story: Democrats are still spying on Donald Trump.

Democrats planted a Democrat CIA agent in the White House who snooped on the president. He found out about a July 25 phone call to the president of Ukraine. The spy contacted Adam Schiff. They concocted a cover story that the spy was a whistle blower, and used the spy's lies to set an impeachment in motion.

The media has sided with the seditious would-be usurpers.

My hope is that an impeachment trial will get the truth out to the American people. It is for sure that America's national reporters are too incompetent to handle the truth because the big story is our federal government is out of control.

Chuck Schumer told Rachel Maddow with glee shortly before Donald Trump took office, “Let me tell you: You take on the intelligence community — they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you.”

We have the tail wagging the dog.

Bloomberg News reported, "President Donald Trump has ordered a substantial reduction in the staff of the National Security Council, according to five people familiar with the plans, as the White House confronts an impeachment inquiry touched off by a whistle-blower complaint related to the agency’s work.

"Some of the people described the staff cuts as part of a White House effort to make its foreign policy arm leaner under new National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien.

"The request to limit the size of the NSC staff was conveyed to senior agency officials by acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney and O’Brien this week. The whistle-blower complaint, focused on Trump’s conduct in a July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, has been followed by damaging reports on the president’s private conversations with other world leaders.

"The New York Times has reported that the whistle-blower was a CIA officer who was at one point detailed to the White House. The complaint has become the driving motivation behind House Democrats’ impeachment effort, which House Speaker Nancy Pelosi began last week.

"Two of the people familiar with the decision to shrink the NSC insisted it was largely rooted in both the transition to O’Brien’s leadership as well as Trump’s desire to increase efficiency at the agency, which grew under former President Barack Obama. About 310 people currently work at the NSC."

If Canada or any other nation spied on the president the way Democrats have, we would deport their staffs overnight.

Sadly for us, no other country will take our Democrats so we are stuck with them.

The president runs the government, not the other way around. The last four may have liked letting the bureaucracy just run things but this one does not because the bureaucracy ran the country into the ground. This was why we elected Donald Trump president.
