Trumping the climate change debate

President Donald John Trump just hijacked tonight's climate change debate on CNN among the hundred or so Democrat presidential candidates.

Using Twitter (what else?) President Donald John Trump laid out the facts.

The tweets were

"8 FACTS that #FakeNewsCNN will ignore in tonight’s 'Climate Forum.'"

"1. Which country has the largest carbon emission reduction? AMERICA!

"2. Who has dumped the most carbon into the air?  CHINA!

"3. 91% of the world’s population are exposed to air pollution above the World Health Organization’s suggested level.  NONE ARE IN THE U.S.A.!

"4. The U.S. now leads the world in energy production. BUT...

"5. Who's got the world's cleanest and safest air and water? AMERICA!

"6. The Democrats’ destructive “environmental” proposals will raise your energy bill and prices at the pump. Don't the Democrats care about fighting American poverty?

"7. The badly flawed Paris Climate Agreement protects the polluters, hurts Americans, and cost a fortune. NOT ON MY WATCH!

"8. I want crystal clean water and the cleanest and the purest air on the planet – we’ve now got that!"

President Trump is trolling for a media fact-check in order to get his message out beyond Twitter. He does this all the time.

We shall see who, if anyone, bites.

But the president just ended the climate change argument. End of the debate. Time to take action and end all subsidies for alternative energy and go back to burning coal.

  1. The climate debate ended for me when the following two events happened:

    1) The Obamas bought a 29 acre ocean front mansion. I presume the polite question would be, "How many homeless tents can you squeeze on your property?

    2) Michael Mann of the famous Al Gore "Hockey Stick" was simply asked to produce his work so that independent experts could check his work (you know, like any respectable scientist). HE REFUSED. Therefore he lost his court case. I guess the take-away is a "scientist" that won't show his work is a LIAR.

    - Toby Flenderson

    1. Toby: Mann's reason for not producing his data was because he claimed climate deniers would dissect it and cherry-pick data showing there was no hockey stick. Well, DUH! Isn't that the scientific method? Hypothesis, criticism, defense, revision of and resubmittal of hypothesis, further criticism, etc. etc.? Of course eliminating the Medieval Warm Period and the following Little Ice Age from the data set might have had some effect on the curve of his graph . . .

    2. He couldn't produce his data because there is no data. They destroyed the real record because it did not conform to their story lie err line. There is no existing record from the numerous field stations that record weather data. All there is are adjusted graphs which have no basis in fact. The danger is that once produced, researchers would be able to go to those locations and obtain local records from various news sources which archive their daily distribution.

    3. Unfortunately there'll still be hangers-on who'll cite his study as gospel much like the anti-vaccers who still use Andrew Wakefield's (debunked numerous times) study that mmr inoculations cause autism.

  2. real scientists ALWAYS QUESTION. their own work and others.

    unless your name is lysenko.

    2. They should worship Lysenko as the father of global warming theory. After all, his crop failures have to be blamed on something.

  3. The most terrifying words to a Grad student is:"Lets see your data."
Mann is a fraud-look up climategate. Under Trump,he wouldn't let it go...

  4. So many things wrong with the climate hoax.
The models don't account for volcanic activity, A lot of the studies start in 1981 - after Mt. St. Helens blew and caused additional cloud cover (heat reflection)
Tsunamis change how the earth faces the sun, so some part is always going to be getting warmer than previously recorded.
The climate fear mongers can't make up their mind on if climate change causes floods or drought.
NOAA and NASA changing and gerrymandering data,
    and on and on....

  5. The Dunning Kruger kids are still at it. Experts in their own minds I tells ya. Just ask 'em. Parroting stuff they heard from "experts" they like. Much like teenagers, if they weren't so ignorant they couldn't possibly think they're experts.

    1. I guess quoting experts to be than just making up stuff. you seem to use your own favorite pejorative quite extensively.

nobody here exemplifies lack of humility better than yourself.

a legend in your own mind.

but then again you seem to lack recognition of the common factor shared by all legends.

they're equal parts bullshit and self delusion.

      physician, heal thyself.

  6. Part of the genius of Trump is he bypasses the lyin' Democrat media to speak the truth. They hate that, as do RINOs like Bill Kristol.

  7. Like starving hyenas presented with raw meat, the media will tear into PDJTs facts and be-clown themselves once again.

  8. Part of the genius of Trump is he bypasses the lyin' Democrat media to speak the truth. They hate that, as do RINOs like Bill Kristol.

  9. Dr Tim Ball – Historical Climatologist
Book ‘The Deliberate Corruption of Climate Science’.
Book “Human Caused Global Warming”, 'The Biggest Deception in History’.

BREAKING - Dr. Tim Ball wins @MichaelEMann lawsuit - Mann has to pay

  10. The simple question I always ask is this: What would people prefer, a warmer climate, which allows for longer growing seasons and larger arable land surface for food, or a colder climate, with longer winters and less food production? No sane person would work toward a colder Earth, even if we had any means to change the natural trend. ='[.]'=

    1. another thought to offer:
one commodity we could use more of is clean fresh water.

in Siberia and Canada are millions of square miles covered in permafrost. water is measured in acre/ feet. an acre (208x208 feet) covered one foot deep. an acre is 43560 square feet. a cubic foot of water is 7.481 gallons. an acre/foot is over 325 thousand gallons. times millions of square miles that defrost every summer and breed mosquitos and biting flies. like one of our anonymous trolls.

all that virgin water. properly channeled and used through hydroelectric dams, many already in place. used to irrigate those same virgin lands that have never felt the bite of the plow.

mind boggling, to say the least.

    2. A friend who is a progressive tried to convince me that science has proven global warming.
When I asked how many of the scientists were climatologists, he couldn't answer me.

There is a counter argument on climate change as put forth by Professor Valentina Zharkova who gave a presentation of her Climate and the Solar Magnetic Field hypothesis at the Global Warming Policy Foundation in October, 2018. But the media and Democrats ignore such information.
Valentina Zharkova is a Professor in Mathematics at Northumbria University. She has a BSc/MSc in Applied Mathematics and Astronomy, a Ph.D. in Astrophysics, certificate in project management. Her findings suggest a Super Grand Solar Minimum is in the cards beginning in 2020 and running for 350-400 years. Another little Ice Age.

    3. A lot of science today appears to be fake. The scientific method is not used. The data is made up or massaged to fit the agenda (theory). Peer review is nonexistent. Duplication cannot be done. Metadata studies are prevalent. Reporting on science misreports, distorts, or comes to a wrong conclusion.

Worst of all, politicians use this to make policy (rarely law because that is hard and means accountability) that affect millions.

    4. I watched a video on Louder with Crowder where he interviewd a co-founder of Greenpeace. I believe the co-founder is an enviromentalist. He said much the same as you are. He also said this has happened before and that the most warming would be at the poles and that within 20 degrees (distance not temperature) of the equator would see more rain. More land, more plant growth and more fresh water in places that need it; middleast etc. Very positive outlook on the climate change.

  11. the climate fools always whinny about deserts.

where's the water going to go?

earth is a closed system. every drop that's ever been here is still here. its not going anywhere.

    let's look at global mechanics.

what happens when a planet covered in water heats up? water evaporates, rises until temp and pressures form clouds.

the spin of the earth creates winds. many of those clouds are carried over land. rising terrain features and pressure fronts compress the moisture laden winds into a super saturated solution, and the moisture falls as rain.

4 uc professors studied core samples from lake elsinore in Calif. elsinore is unique because core samples cover the entire range of the Holocene, the last 11000 years. no gaps.

and the results were clear and unmistakeable.

the warmer it was, the more rainfall there was. in times of more ice, the less rainfall. the more ice there was, the more it interfered with the normal hydrological cycles.

the correlations were clear as well. during the time known as the little ice age, Calif suffered severe long lasting droughts. the local chumash indians reverted to cannibalism. the anasazi in the four corners region, who had prospered during the wetness of the medieval warm period, disappeared or melded into the Zuni/Hopi tribes.
these were later devastated by the late arriving athapaskans known to us as the Navajo and apache, who arrived only minutes before the conquistadors.

according to their founding mythos, they fled from a great evil to the north. coastal British Columbia was the source of athapaskan speakers. perhaps tlingits and such.

    more ice=less rain

    less ice= more rain

  12. I don't know about burning more coal, but I'm on board with ending the subsidies for alternative energy. I'd like to see America ramp up the nuclear power plants. I used to be concerned about the spent rods and I was shocked to learn that we actually purchase nuclear waste from other countries. The isotopes are constantly changing as the waste degrades and at times has excellent medical uses (Scientific American). Think - not enough radiation to pierce a piece of paper, but enough to kill cancer cells if delivered to the correct location.

  13. It is a great article. You will surely like this also because it is a great stuff
