Highlights of the News

50 years ago today, we were all Americans. We were not black or white. Not Republican or Democrat. Not Christian or Jew.

We landed on the moon. That was our flag. It still stands. Tonight, put your hand over your heart, look at that moon, and pledge allegiance to that flag. Long may she wave.

ITEM 1: Reuters reported, "Cuban authorities sought to reassure jittery citizens this week that recent power outages and a fuel shortage were due to temporary problems that were being fixed rather than a broader decline in the economy under heavier U.S. sanctions.

"The Communist-run island is battling a cash crunch brought on by a decline in aid from leftist ally Venezuela and lower exports, as well as a tightening of the decades-old U.S. trade embargo, including attempts to block Venezuelan oil shipments."

But the main reason they are in darkness is that communism does not work.

ITEM 2: Nick Shredder reported, "House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler condemned “send her back” chants that could be heard during President Trump’s North Carolina rally, which the President later disavowed.

"In a tweet, Nadler said, 'Watching the President lie (again) to the American people, spreading racist and xenophobic propaganda against @Ilhan with the crowd being goaded into chants of “send her back” was both chilling and horrifying.'

"He added, 'There is no place for such racism in our public discourse.'

"Trump’s former Deputy Assistant Sebastian Gorka issued a stark reminder to Nadler upon seeing his remarks, where he slammed the Chairman for trying to get him deported soon after the 2016 election.

"Gorka brought up Nadler’s 2017 push along with Senator Dick Durbin to get the White House to hand over Gorka’s immigration documents to the House Judiciary Committee."

Durbin is as intelligent as Nadler is svelte.

ITEM 3Randy DeSoto reported, "Acting Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan refuted Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s charge that the Trump administration wants to keep migrant children in custody."

McAleenan said, "We want to keep families together through an immigration proceeding that is fair and expeditious and in an appropriate setting. That can’t be done in 20 days with due process. We need to be able to finish immigration proceeding before people are released. Otherwise, we don’t have an effective result."

Given the headache of caring for children, I can see why they would want to be rid of the kids as quickly as possible.

Maybe Tlaib can babysit them.

ITEM 4Brittany Shepherd reported, "President Trump confirmed reports Friday that his administration is working to help release rapper A$AP Rocky after the entertainer was arrested in Sweden on suspicion of assault charges earlier this month."

President Donald John Trump told reporters, "We are going to be calling and talking to them, we’ve already started. And many, many members of the African-American community have called me, friends of mine, and said, could you help. I personally don’t know A$AP Rocky. But I can tell you he has tremendous support from the African-American community in this country. And when I say African-American, I think I can really say from everyone in this country, ’cuz we’re all one. I have been called by so many people asking me to help A$AP Rocky."

He has been held without charges since July 2.

Kim Kardashian West has championed his cause. Instead of grabbing her pussyhat, she has worked with the president on criminal justice issues.

ITEM 5:

CNN reported, "The US government is honoring an 83-year-old Muslim cleric who hid 262 Christians in his home and mosque during an attack in central Nigeria.

"Imam Abubakar Abdullahi, along with four religious leaders from Sudan, Iraq, Brazil and Cyprus, were awarded the 2019 the International Religious Freedom Award, which is given to advocates of religious freedom.

"Abdullahi was recognized for providing shelter for hundreds of Christians fleeing attacks from Muslim herdsmen who had launched coordinated attacks on Christian farmers in 10 villages in the Barkin Ladi area of Plateau State on June 23, 2018, the award organizers said in a statement.

"The cleric refused to give them up when their attackers asked about their whereabouts, International Religious Freedom Ambassador Sam Brownback said at the awards ceremony in Washington on Wednesday."

There are those who preach it, and there are those who live it. Then there are amazing men who do both.

ITEM 6: USA Today reported, "A man accused of killing a mother and her two children was in the U.S. illegally and had twice previously been deported, federal authorities say.

"Marvin Oswaldo Esquivel-Lopez, 31, has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder for Tuesday night's triple homicide.

"His victims have been identified as a small family he was living with: Rossibeth Flores-Rodriguez, 29; Grecia Daniela Alvarado-Flores, 11; and Ever Jose Mejia-Flores, 5. Officers, responding to a 911 call, found the three bodies at the home Tuesday night, according to police."

His victims were Hispanic. Most victims of illegal aliens are Hispanic. Yet they say it is racist to oppose the importation of illegal alien criminals. The fact is it is racist to let them in to prey on their fellow Hispanics.

ITEM 7: Bob Price reported, "Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents arrested a Mexican national with active warrants on charges of raping a child and aggravated sexual abuse of a child. The illegal alien from Mexico is one of several alleged or convicted child sex offenders arrested by Border Patrol agents this week.

"Nogales Station agents arrested a Mexican national after he illegally crossed the border on Wednesday afternoon. The agents conducted a biometric background investigation and learned the 30-year-old man has active warrants from the Spanish Fork, Utah, Sheriff’s Office, according to information provided by Tucson Sector Border Patrol officials.

"The Mexican man will be extradited to Utah where he will face charges of two counts of raping a child and aggravated sexual abuse of a child, officials reported. Following adjudication in Utah, the illegal alien will face removal proceedings from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Enforcement and Removal Operations."

Remember it is racist to say any illegal aliens are rapists or killers.

ITEM 8: Fox News reported, "A 42-year-old Brooklyn, New York, man has been charged with providing and attempting to provide material support – including training, services and personnel – to ISIS in Syria, the Department of Justice announced Friday after unsealing a criminal complaint in Brooklyn federal court.

"Ruslan Maratovich Asainov, a Kazakhstan-born, naturalized U.S citizen is alleged to have traveled to Istabul, Turkey, in late 2013 before moving across the border into Syria where he became a sniper for the designated terrorist outfit."

Strip him of his citizenship just like we have done with Nazi war criminals.

ITEM 9: National Review reported, "...the reality is that deaths at the U.S.-Mexico border decreased after Donald Trump became president, according to data from the United States Border Patrol. During the 2017 and 2018 fiscal years they averaged 291 per year, down from 372 during the Obama/Biden administration and 382 under Bush."

A wall would cut the deaths down to zero.

But that would be humane. Liberals would rather 291 people died each year than defend the nation.

ITEM 10: Kathy Zhu tweeted, "Miss World America's State/National/Chief Director accused me of being racist, Islamaphobic, and insensitive.

"They stripped me of my Miss Michigan title due to my refusal to try on a hijab in 2018, my tweet about black on black gun violence, and 'insensitive' statistical tweets."

She is an Asian American. Miss World America is a racist organization for trying to force her to appropriate Muslim culture. Isn't that how it works?

Zhu should comfort herself in knowing transvestite men soon will ruin this event.

ITEM 11: CNBC reported, "George Nader, a key witness in special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe, has been charged in a new federal indictment with transporting a 14-year-old boy for sex two decades ago, child pornography and carrying obscene materials into the United States."

The story also said, "Nader was convicted in the Czech Republic of what his attorney Christopher Clark described in court as ‘contributing to the moral corruption of society’ after ‘having a relationship with two young men two years under the age of consent.’

"The Associated Press said he was sentenced to one year in prison in that earlier case."

On March 7, 2018, CNN reported, "'Man of mystery' cooperates with Mueller in Russia probe."

The 1,400-word report did not mention his 2003 conviction for homosexual sex with minors. There is nothing gay about child molestation.

Why was Mueller working with a child molester to bring down a president?

ITEM 12: John Binder reported, "Angel Mom Mary Ann Mendoza, who heads the Angel Families organization, has been suspended from Twitter after posting about illegal immigration and raising awareness about the harms of sanctuary city policies.

"Angel Mom Mendoza’s son, 32-year-old police officer Brandon Mendoza, was killed in May 2014 by a drunk illegal alien who was driving the wrong way down a highway in Mesa, Arizona.

"This week, Mendoza was suspended from her Twitter account and told she would not be able to sign back in unless she deletes a series of posts about crimes committed by illegal aliens and the impact of sanctuary city policies on American citizens."

Disgraceful.

Jack Dorsey should get down on his knees and beg for forgiveness.

And President Donald John Trump needs to haul in Twitter, Facebook, Google and the rest and tell them either you clean up your act or we shut you down.

Enough is enough.

Americans have a right to free speech and it trumps Dorsey's right to play god with his stupid platform. Governments exist to protect rights given by God. It is time Washington quit playing games and got back to the basics.

ITEM 13: LifeNews.com tweeted, "After Georgia passed a pro-life bill banning abortions, Netflix  threatened to boycott the state.

"So pro-lifers cancelled their subscriptions.

"Netflix expected to gain 352,000 subscribers this quarter. Instead it lost 126,000.

"Take that Hollywood!"

Stock price fell as well.

But they did not cancel their subscriptions.

They aborted them.

Aww Donnie is upset. He wants an imperial presidency to get his way. He thinks his free speech must be permitted on private property of another. He demands it!

Only tyrants think like that. They don't respect the rule of law. The ends justifies the means.

    2. So anon, on your planet free speech in open forums (which social media claimed to be to get special status) is guaranteed only to the people you agree with?

    5. This blog is the mirror image of liberal progressive blogs.

Groupthink dominates. Anyone who dissents is personally attacked instead of dealing with the message.

Dorsey's Twitter is private property. He can allow or restrict anyone he wants. Its called boundaries.....you know kinda like borders.

    6. Actually it is called a publicly traded company. Dorsey doesn't own it. He manages it. He has fiduciary responsibilities to his shareholders.

WTF! Where is the punishment for raping a child. Go home is not a punishment. One way or another justice requires it's pound of flesh.

  5. When Dick Durbin attacked our military for GITMO and as a veteran with a son in the Army, I wrote him that it was a good thing it wasn't the 1830s because I would have challenged him to a duel but that he was too much of a coward to have accepted my challenge. But he continues to get re-elected as was Sen. Harkin who lied about his military service as has the senator from Connecticut. If lying about military service, what does it take to defeat a lying senator. The attacks on President Trump for his bone spurs thus avoiding military service have no idea of the pain and disability bone spurs can cause since I have them in both shoulders. Today surgery can remove them, but in my military days in the 1960s, the military would not correct a "disability" problem when there were enough people to draft.

    3. Yes Don, my right of free speech is one of those "unalienable" rights written about in the Declaration of Independence. The text of the first amendment begins "Congress shall make no law...", and the ninth and tenth amendments make clear that my unalienable rights shall NOT BE INFRINGED!
As for whether Twitter or Facebook or Google should be regulated is another can of worms. Personally I don't touch them, so everything I read about them is second hand. The libertarian argument is that we need to create our own alternative media. But I consider Libertarianism to be hopelessly naive. But I do agree, as Ronaldus Magnus put it: "Government is not the solution to your problems, Government IS the problem!"

      Delete
    4. The libertarian argument is all wet cardboard.

Ronald Reagan was not an anarchist.

Google sucks. it sits right next to the devil. it's no minor demon. it's big brother. it's the ministry of truth. its the whore of Babylon. the beast.

I've studied most of the "isms" formally (BA philosophy 1976), and while they sound wonderful in theory, they fail miserably in application.
What I wonder now, and very much look forward to finding out is what Brad Parscale and PDJT are cooking up to deal with "...big brother. it's the ministry of truth. its the whore of Babylon. the beast."

    10. Free speech goes beyond the First Amendment

So there ya go Donnie boy comes out and confesses what he REALLY believes. He cites no rule of law to substantiate his claims

What Donnie loves is the REGULATORY STATE. The one FDR enacted and enforced. Donnie loves that kind of power.

Liberty scares him just like it does liberals. When they are offended by what others do with their own property, then they run to Papa State.

They are Statists in their core. Centralized power in DC. Control the masses when you guy is president.

Then moan and groan about the rule of law when democrats are in power. This has gone on so long its really pathetic.

Conservatives cherish power just as much as liberals do. They want to crush people they disagree with liberty be damned.

Then we have the rubes equating liberty with anarchy! That makes George Washington, Madison, Jefferson, et all all anarchists.

Y'all are really sad pathetic people who can't wait to enforce your will and stick a gun in your neighbors belly because you've been offended.

No wonder there is little difference between the two parties they both cherish raw political power.

  13. The phone company could not deny you use because of your political beliefs

So there Donnie makes his confession. He equates the state granted monopoly, the phone company, with social media.

And therein is the problem. He's building on a false premise. That Congress has the power to regulate private property.

There is no such power delegated to Congress in the Constitution. What this shows is this blogger here believes in raw POWER just like liberals do. He cannot break his mind free on the liberal indoctrination he received in schools.

For free thinkers just read the 10th amendment. Therein lies the answer.

And anyone who trusts DC to decide the extent of the power of DC is hopelessly naive. So naive that tonite he'll be pledging allegiance to DC politicians the servants of corporatism.

  14. The content of any comment, including the phrasings, syntax, rhythms and such, reveal the individuality of this specific, obessessed with Don comment "troll".

    Analysis of this "troll":

    1. ChiCom. Not russkie, not braindead antifa, not nutless jihadistas, not soft as puppy shit millenial brainiacs, not any of the drooling, panting, foaming at the mouth usual trolling knuckleheads. No. This one is ChiCom.

    2. The rigorously narrow focus, upon using the format of debate, reveals the ChiCom mentality.

    3. The absence of Practical Reality is the ChiCom ass laid bare.

    4. ChiCom troll gets fed, watered and, thus, like a pet poodle, does what it is told to do. No knowledge, via experience, of freedom's obligations to work and earn our daily bread = the total omission of Practical Reality elements in it's comments AND it's strict adherence to debate as it's only format.

    5. ChiCom = Insect-like thinking. Hive Insects.

    6. Engaging in debate with ChiCom comment troll is of no value, as ChiCom comment troll rejects Practical Reality at all times. Debate is this commenter's format of diddling it's own hole(s). Were it to face having to fend for itself, like an abandoned poodle, it would not survive.

    7. Response to this ChiCom comment troll is easy: so fucking what? I got work to do, mouths to feed and bills to pay. Debate the toilet seat in your hovel.
