Peggy Noonan is tired of Trump winning

Peggy Noonan trotted out the latest Democrat talking point.

President Donald John Trump is winning too much.

She and her buddies and her employer want the public to believe there is an overload of winning.

On NBC today, she said, “Do you remember on the Ed Sullivan show when we were little children? There was a guy who came and balanced plates. There would be a stick, put a plate up, get it going, get another and then he would run back and forth just trying to keep them all up. Balancing plates is part of the tone of this administration and of this president.”

And she said, “Look, it’s nonstop harum-scarum. Even something in the past that might have been as cleanly, logically handled as the Iran thing became non-stop harum-scarum. It has this meaning. No, it has this meaning. I did it for this reason. He’s exhausting. I think a threat for the president is that he tends to exhaust not into submission but into ultimate aversion. Many people in the middle who would like to be sympathetic towards him but just think, ‘Oh, my goodness, this is too much.'”

Actually, people liked all the varied acts Ed Sullivan put on stage. One show had magician Fred Kaps, the cast of "Oliver" (featuring Georgia Brown and Davy Jones), singer-banjo player Tessie O'Shea, acrobatics squad Wells and the Four Fays (with a young Toni Basil), impressionist Frank Gorshin (pre-Riddler), comics Charlie Brill and Mitzi McCall, and of course The Beatles.

All on one show.

This is too much?

But I like Noonan's "many people in the middle" sock puppet. I am so tired of Somesay. She is a writer -- a Pulitzer winner! -- who eschews the trite. Manny People N. Thamiddle is a new improved sock puppet.

But let's back up. Who started all this drama? Peggy Noonan and company.

She and her cronies on the left clutched their pearls over a private conversation he had with a TV host in which he said if you are rich, famous and handsome, good-looking women in Hollywood will let you get away with anything.

She was shocked. Women don't act that way.

Oh, look, there goes her boss, Rupert Murdoch with his new wife, Jerry Hall.

Once real Americans elected Donald John Trump president, the monkeys really began throwing their bowel movements at the tourists.

The Russian Dossier!

Emoluments!

Giving "secrets" to a Russian ambassador!

Stormy Daniels!

On and on and on. At every turn, these monkeys opposed anything President Trump did. They hated everything he did from the tax cuts to this week's measured reaction to Iranian aggression.

Consider the border with Mexico.

In February, President Trump announced it was in crisis. The crowd hissed and called him a liar.

Now they blame him for the crisis.

Or consider how the press handled his March 4, 2017, tweet that said Barack the O wiretapped him. The press pounced. Prove it, they demanded. Oh and he misspelled wiretap.

When conservatives -- real ones, not the ones you see on TV -- pointed to the New York Times front-page, above-the-fold story that said he was wiretapped, the press said well, it wasn't really rape-rape, er, wiretap-wiretapping.

Now that it has been proved that Obama spied, the press said it was not spying but surveillance -- for his own protection.

This month, President Trump used tariffs to get Mexico to protect our border, gave a stunning D Day speech, had Kim Kardashian in for an update in his prison reform, and seems to be handling the Iranian crisis without firing a shot.

Oh and he held a rally that 100,000 people wanted to see.

Compare that to Obama. In the summer of 2009 he held a beer summit with a black professor and the policeman who arrested him.

That was it.

Biden had a near beer.

Ah, No Drama Obama.

Also Nukes For Iran Obama.

Blow Up Libya For No Reason Obama.

Spy On Opponents Obama.

Blow Off ISIS Obama.

I Personally Killed Osama Obama.

I Had Nothing To Do With Benghazi Obama.

That is the type of president Washington-based columnists on New York newspapers want. They judge a man by the crease of his pant, not his executive abilities or real-life accomplishments.

Now, President Trump and America are winning. Peggy Noonan wants to cry.

    3. She lost most of us when she said “Do you remember on the Ed Sullivan show when we were little children?"

She proved she's an old fart who longs for the old days when she understood stuff. No wonder she can't handle Trump. He's different from her hallowed past.

    4. She's made me sick for years. Her condescending honeyed voice coming down to us from her pious perch, masking her dull platitudes in verbose locutions, and completely misunderstanding the reality of the American people and our disgust with being told what's good for us by elitists like her.

    2. Part of the reason Noonan voted for Obungler was because McCain selected Sarah Palin as his VP (Clutching pearls: Gasp! She might have shopped at WalMart! She certainly wouldn't fit in with the 'elites' that run things!).

Noonan couldn't stand Palin, so we gave her Trump. Serves her right!

    3. Bingo! You hit the nail on the head, peasantnumberthree. I remember Noonan being exasperated when Palin was the pick. She just couldn't believe, that McCain would pick a popular, beautiful, intelligent, down to earth woman who was not an elitist like Noonan. I love Sarah Palin and can't stand Noonan. Palin, if treated with half the dignity of the stupid Dems like Pelosi, would be President now, but she was such a threat that they assinated her.

  4. Her ideas are not even half-baked. (Prove one of them, missy.) Her labored plate-spinning metaphor works better applied to her attempts at wisdom (if you just let the plates fall).

    1. Does she even appreciate that her plate spinning metaphor is just what the job itself requires? I just don't think people have a clue of what the job of being the Executive really is, even people who should have a clue.

  5. If memory serves I can remember an almost carbon copy piece Peggy wrote during 2005 that GW Bush was "too effective" on the war on terror and because of that the democrats would never get behind it and support it unless he was out of power or the republicans lost control of Congress. Gee, how did that work out for the republican's? The fact that establishment cucks like Peggy and George Will are sniffing their outrage about Trump acts like a barometer that he's doing exactly what he should be doing.

  10. the press swallows in self importance. they consider themselves to be intellectuals. that kings and princes come to them for wisdom.

trump treats them as the shallow vicious preening little weasels that they are, and they hates it.

    they've turned into Gollum.

he stole our precious. we hates the trump. we hates the trump forever!

and the grownups, watching this non stop tantrum in amazement, can only wonder what's next?

couple things the press ignores. the American people are not as dumb or docile as the preeners believe.

and another thing curiously american. Americans believe in fair play and good sportsmanship. you can see this at any city park from Maine to Calif. Florida to Seattle. t ball girls soccer whatever. the parents instill this early and strongly. it is their core belief as important attributes.

and the democrats compete to piss all over fair play and good sportsmanship.

I believe that basic core disconnect with the American people will cost them. we shall see.

    5. Iran, by its own declaration, has been at war with the US for almost my whole life. They have committed acts of war against America (invading an embassy is an act of war), killed American servicemen in Iraq since 2003 (Al Quds Force) and supported acts of terrorism against Americans for over a generation now.

Obama wanted them to have a nuclear bomb and did in fact send them a cash payment larger than the operating budget of some countries- illegally of course.
Trump wanted to do a very limited conventional strike, then he changed his mind and now wants more sanctions.
      Your equivalency is void.

  12. Easy to understand, not to justify: if America keeps on winning, there will be be nothing to complain about. Ms. Noonan needs to complain to keep on writing.

    ReplyDelete
  13. So, let me get this straight, Noonan is pissed that Trump can walk and chew gum.

Remember how they couldn't believe that McCain was still callously campaigning as the financial crisis hit America, and then when he suspended his campaign they couldn't believe that he couldn't do two things at once.

I've got nothing but absolute disdain for these people.

  14. I have found Peggy insufferable and obnoxious for years, thank you for showing me why.

  15. Poor Peggy doesn’t get it. Part of the plate spinners act is to run around acting like he is struggling to keep all of the plates spinning. This helps Draw the audience in even more. Reality is that he is totally under control. PDJT is totally under control.

  18. Trump is a genius who get things done. That's unheard of in the Swamp. The opposition finds Trump exhausting because they can't keep up, physically or mentally. They're becoming more hysterical as everything they do to try and undermine Trump only makes him more popular.

  19. LOL! Nobody cares what this old lady says! The fact of the matter is...there AREN'T too many spinning plates if they aren't crashing to the ground! This bitter old hag is just ANOTHER Leftist upset that Trump is blocking their hostile takeover of the USA.

  20. Regarding opinion writers and talking heads
    who cares?
yes there are good writers and commentators, but they are basically average thinkers, who can write and speak better than the majority of us.

  24. Noonan is a rabidly prejudiced gasbag who preaches to an ever shrinking choir of rabidly prejudiced sheep. Her type and their ilk are still unfortunately somewhat numerous. In fact, were they to be laid out end to end--it would be a darn good thing.

  27. I stopped reading Noonan's twaddle years ago. She's a liberal masquerading as "Conservative" of some kind...a la Anna Navarro I guess. She's establishment and nothing else. Trump is the exposer of all the corruption and deceit. It's too much for Noonan because she is part of the problem.
