Media falsely paints Trump sons as deadbeats

Once again, President Donald John had a successful foreign trip. Once again, the American media embarrassed the nation by going out of its way to lie about the trip.

The president's adult sons went to a bar in Doonbeg, Ireland, and bought a pint for everyone in the house. The town is home of Trump International Hotel and Golf Links.

Pub owner Caroline Kennedy told the Irish Mirror, "They’re loving the reception they are getting. When they came into the pub they said they wouldn’t get this welcome in New York. They were so lovely and down to earth and gave a great hello to everyone. I said, ‘Come on lads you have to come in and pull a drink’ so they did."

The story was very positive. People love President Trump. He provides jobs at his resort. He is a source of local pride as well.

The American media portrayed this visit as a taxpayer-provided trip to one of his properties. But the Daily Beast saw more fertile ground to till for Fake News.

On the Irish Mirror story, the owner said the drinks were put on their tab to be paid later because they do not carry cash.

The Daily Beast turned this into something it was not the next day in a story, "Eric and Donald Trump Jr. Still Have Not Paid Irish Bar Tab." The New York Post and others followed the Beast down this rabbit hole.

The Fake News bothered owner Caroline Kennedy because it threw cold water on a great event.

She issued a statement: “We have just had the most fantastic week in Doonbeg with the visit of the Trump family. I would like to clarify that The Igoe Inn was paid in full for the round of drinks that Eric and Don bought for our customers. We appreciate their business.

“We Do Not appreciate being misquoted.”

The American media is vital to America. Just ask it. I suppose. I mean, where else would we go for our daily dose of lies?

  1. This is the kind of story that used to show up in gossip columns, without naming names. Herb Caen put tidbits like this into his column, but he would say something like:

"The sons of a well-known politician threw a party at a local pub, but seem to have forgotten to pay the bill."

Herb wasn't trying to hurt anyone. Nowadays journalism is a bloodsport.

  3. The golf club paid the tab. If it wasn’t for fake news, the leftist media would have blank pages covering PDJT and family.

    1. I doubt that most likely the Trump "lads" use the gold plated credit cards. Unlike Pee lossiee who sends her bar tab to the US tax payer.

    2. Probably the pub didn't take plastic.

    3. Or didn't accept the plastic they had. With the rep the Trumps have, they didn't feeel uncomfortable running a tab for them.

  4. There used to be some entertainment value in the different leftmedias' apparent one-upmanship contests to see who could make the most outrageous fake news story out of a innocuous incident involving the Trumps. It has gotten tiresome because they've long since run out of anything new and untrue to say about them.

  5. In the old days, a media outlet was prepared to risk litigation so long as its political ends were achieved, but the one thing they feared was being made to look ridiculous.

Just when did that stop being a thing?

  7. shortly after trump was sworn in, brad Sherman, us Democrat representing the ballot harvesters of Los a holes, said if trump came out in favor of mothers day, he and his fellow travelers would be against it.
I think this is very important.
it may be last time truth accidently spewed from a democrats lips.
we should make note or something, I suppose.
