Highlights of the news

Happy Father's Day. If you are not a father, take comfort in not being Alyssa Milano. If you are Alyssa Milano, take comfort in the fact that Donald John Trump is still your president.

ITEM 1: Ivan Pentchoukov reported, "The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service has begun to remind immigrants that if they receive any welfare benefits prior to becoming a citizen, their sponsors will be responsible for paying back the government.

"'If the sponsored immigrant receives any federal means-tested public benefits, the sponsor will be expected to reimburse the benefits-granting agency for every dollar of benefits received by the immigrant,' the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service wrote on Twitter on June 14.

"Immigrants who apply for permanent residency and citizenship in the United States are required to find a sponsor who guarantees to support them financially. The affidavit of support is a legally enforceable contract between the sponsor and the government. The financial obligation usually ends once the immigrant becomes naturalized or after the immigrant completes 10 years of full-time work."

We pass laws but the government never enforces them.

Instead the government demands that a baker make a cake for a gay "wedding," even though the Constitution and the courts say he does not have to do that.

President Donald John Trump then enforces the real law, and we hear how he is a threat to democratic institutions.

I think they mean Democrat institutions.

ITEM 2: President Trump tweeted, "All in for Senator Steve Daines as he proposes an Amendment for a strong BAN on burning our American Flag. A no brainer!"

If the American flag is a meaningless piece of cloth, then why all the hubbub about the Confederate one?

Protect the flag. Oh, people would still burn it, but they would go to jail afterward. This is how civil disobedience works: break law, pay the fine or do the time.

ITEM 3: Red State reported, "Bernie Sanders’ ‘Economic Bill Of Rights’ Taken Nearly Verbatim From Stalin’s 1936 Soviet Constitution."

The site listed articles from Stalin's constitution:
ARTICLE 118. Citizens of the U.S.S.R. have the right to work, that is, are guaranteed the right to employment and payment for their work in accordance with its quantity and quality.
ARTICLE 119. Citizens of the U.S.S.R. have the right to rest and leisure. The right to rest and leisure is ensured by the reduction of the working day to seven hours for the overwhelming majority of the workers, the institution of annual vacations with full pay for workers and employees and the provision of a wide network of sanatoria, rest homes and clubs for the accommodation of the working people.
ARTICLE 120. Citizens of the U.S.S.R. have the right to maintenance in old age and also in case of sickness or loss of capacity to work. This right is ensured by the extensive development of social insurance of workers and employees at state expense, free medical service for the working people and the provision of a wide network of health resorts for the use of the working people.
ARTICLE 121. Citizens of the U.S.S.R. have the right to education. This right is ensured by universal, compulsory elementary education; by education, including higher education, being free of charge; by the system of state stipends for the overwhelming majority of students in the universities and colleges; by instruction in schools being conducted in the native language, and by the organization in the factories, state farms, machine and tractor stations and collective farms of free vocational, technical and agronomic training for the working people.
ARTICLE 122. Women in the U.S.S.R. are accorded equal rights with men in all spheres of economic, state, cultural, social and political life. The possibility of exercising these rights is ensured to women by granting them an equal right with men to work, payment for work, rest and leisure, social insurance and education, and by state protection of the interests of mother and child, prematernity and maternity leave with full pay, and the provision of a wide network of maternity homes, nurseries and kindergartens.
No one above the age of 11 should be surprised.

And Democrats see nothing wrong with this.

ITEM 4: WDRB reported, "The neighbor who attacked Sen. Rand Paul in a rage over yard waste is apparently planning to move.

"Court documents show Rene Boucher sold his five-bedroom home in Bowling Green, Ky., which is next to Paul's. He paid $382,000 from the sale to Paul as part of a lawsuit verdict.

"Paul sued Boucher after the November 2017 attack in their Bowling Green neighborhood. The attack left Paul with several broken ribs and a hernia.

"Documents show Boucher owes Paul more than $600,000 for pain and suffering, after pleading guilty at trial."

The attacker got off easy with a sentence of only 30 days in jail.

ITEM 5: The Associated Press reported, "Hapless husbands and housework-burdened moms were being banished from British advertising, as a crackdown on 'harmful' gender stereotypes came into force Friday. Under new rules, advertisements must not include 'gender stereotypes which are likely to cause harm or serious or widespread offense.'

"Examples include depictions of a man failing to change a diaper or a woman to park a car, or ads that suggest women are solely responsible for cooking and cleaning.

"Complaints will be assessed by industry watchdog the Advertising Standards Authority. It doesn’t have the power to impose fines, but British broadcasters are bound by the terms of their licenses to comply with its rulings.

"The watchdog, which has previously banned ads for suggesting it was desirable for young women to be unhealthily thin, said it won’t ban all stereotypes, such as women cleaning or men doing home-improvement jobs."

This happens when you set up a watchdog. It quickly turns into a rabid attack dog.

ITEM 6: The Los Angeles Times reported, "California ammo buyers are making a run on gun shops ahead of a new state law, which on July 1 will require buyers of bullets to show identification and undergo a background check to screen out felons and people with illegal firearms.

"In a state with the toughest gun laws in the nation, Gov. Gavin Newsom and some other leaders see restricting ammunition sales as a necessary next step in reducing gun tragedies.

"Newsom included restrictions on bullets in Proposition 63, his statewide initiative that was approved by voters in 2016 and that helped raise his profile for his run for governor."

They should just move.

Leave.

Every real Americans in that state should sell everything and just leave California, because it is going to become a racist and totalitarian state within a short time. From not enforcing basic sanitation laws to ignoring constitutional rights, leaders of that state want to turn what was once heaven on Earth into hell on Earth.

Leave.

ITEM 7: Cory Lum reported, "The sponsors of a City Council measure that would have made Honolulu a "sanctuary city" have decided not to pursue its passage after it generated considerable opposition.

"Bill 31, which was introduced by Councilwomen Ann Kobayashi and Carol Fukunaga before the full council June 5, would have barred the Honolulu Police Department from cooperating with federal immigration enforcement agencies in many instances.

"Kobayashi and Fukunaga declined to comment on the bill, but released a joint statement explaining why they decided to drop it.

"'Bill 31 was introduced after we received repeated requests for assurances that Honolulu's law enforcement officers were there to enforce, first and foremost, the laws of the State of Hawaii and the City and County of Honolulu,' Kobayashi and Fukunaga said in the statement. 'Given the reaction we have seen from the community, no further discussion will take place on this matter.'"

The people of Honolulu have spoken and told these two ladies: Nuts.

If Captain James Cook taught Hawaiians anything, it is that illegal aliens will not assimilate and will, in a few decades, take over your country.

ITEM 8: Jon Dougherty reported, "Former Navy SEAL hero and Texas Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw verbally backhanded former Obama adviser Ben Rhodes after he seemed to question the Trump administration’s claims that Iran was responsible for attacking two tankers in the Gulf of Oman this week.

"Rhodes, who had the title of deputy national security adviser but who’s forte is as a writer and commentator, retweeted a video clip of Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in which he discusses U.S. Navy video showing Iranian involvement in the attacks, with this comment: 'This definitely feels like the kind of incident where you’d want an international investigation to establish what happened. Huge risk of escalation.'"

Rhodes lied about the Iran deal and laughed at the gullible reporters who believed him.

Chairman Xi allied himself with Iran. These attacks are in retaliation for tariffs on Red China's exports. Of course Obama administration officials side with Iran and Red China.

ITEM 9: The New York Times reported, "Oberlin Helped Students Defame a Bakery, a Jury Says. The Punishment: $33 Million."

A jury says.

As if it were not true.

ITEM 10: The Reverend Franklin Graham said of President Donald Trump, "I think he has honored his commitments to the faith-based community.

"He is pro-life, [the] first president really in my lifetime that has been this vocal about life. I certainly appreciate that about him.

"He’s fulfilled his promise as it relates to conservative judges.

"He’s put two Supreme Court justices so far on the bench that are conservative. He’s appointed a number at lower courts. I hope that he’ll be able to do even more in that area, because that will have an impact on my childrens’ lives. If we have the right judges, it will benefit all of us."

After having the biggest supporter of atheism in the White House, President Trump is a welcome change.

ITEM 11: The Wall Street Journal reported, "A massive Palm Beach mansion is in contract to be sold for over $100 million, which would set a record for the most expensive single-family home sale in the wealthy Florida town, according to people familiar with the deal."

There is your proof global warming is a fraud because no one would pay $100 million for a soon-to-be underwater mansion.

  1. The Oberlin thing might have future impact on the behavior of universities. If they can be held liable for damages incurred after people acting in their official capacities have taken actions having consequences outside the boundaries and jurisdictions of the corporation (that's what a university is), then universities are likely to become sensitive to the likelihood of such actions being taken by people who are placed in said positions. This could extend to university officials acting outside their official positions (like faculty participating in protests) etc.

I have mentioned this before. If you want to know where the big money in your state is, it is not in industry. Check out who the largest employer in your state is. In most it will be some combination of colleges and universities, or one single university system or university health care system. Eventually the lawyers are going to figure out where the big pockets are and start to go after them, regardless of their political affiliations. The legal profession is hurting and the universities are rolling in dough. Quite a recipe.

    5. Teapartydoc,

I would hope that the universities are not surprised of the outcome. To refresh, the universities have thru their kangaroo court made it clear that students are held accountable for activities on or off campus and can be censured or expelled. So they expect different treatment for the legal system at large when the shoe is on the other foot?? Maybe they would like to buy some bridges.

The other bit, Libs are so into 'community'. Well I can't of something more 'community' than a business that has been serving the public faithfully since 1885. The bakery probably ought to be on the national historical registry.

Although I’m well aware that Real Men don’t need - or want - a holiday to tell them how awesome they are, I’ll just go with the flow on this. I will give Major Props to the USGA for ensuring that the final day of the U.S. Open is on Father’s Day. ThreePeat, Brooksie!

  4. Israel is the most likely suspect who bombed those tankers. They would benefit the most from it. (never forget how they destroyed the USS Liberty in 1967 killing hundreds of our sailors)

One tanker was Japanese owned and was bringing Iranian oil to Asia for sale in violation of silly US sanctions.

So Iran would not be a likely suspect bombing their own oil supplies which they desperately need to sell. Duh.

But here in this forum Israel is above reproach, above the law, and holy. And if you criticize anything their government does then you'll be called a racist. Just like liberals do with the blacks.

See you folks here are a lot like the liberal community its undeniable.

    5. Israel is not above reproach (as seen by how continously and assiduously almost every other country reproaches it for actions that they themselves have done or would do) nor is it above the law (and in fact is held to a much higher standard of law than almost any other country) but it is indeed holy.

    6. Israel is an apartheid/racist state and an affront to God.

Jesus declared permanent judgment upon all of Israel 2 thousand years ago, see Matt 21:43

He took the entire chapter of Matt 24 and told of their impending doom to come on that very generation that would soon crucify Him.

Jerusalem was laid waste in 70 A.D. right on schedule for the generation that killed Christ.

So the kingdom of God was indeed finally taken away from Israel forever. As a nation she has no part in it.

Jerusalem was the harlot and judgment was delivered as reported in Revelation.

But fundamentalists want to lure all the Jews into Israel for the so called great tribulation. During that period all the Jews will be slaughtered in another holocaust.

And fundamentalists claim to love Jewish people!

    7. And god is claimed by people to love all of creation and created creastures, yet tortures every body, from birth until death.

At least god is not discrimatory in this.

  5. A lot of crime theory is evaluation of intention. It is one thing to dispose of one's own property in a private way and quite another to dispose of it in any other manner. I can take a Quran to Saudi Arabia and quietly dispose of it in my apartment with no consequences whatsoever. Taking it out into the town square and putting the torch to it is another matter entirely. To pretend that such an action is a private one done with one's own property is dissimulative at best. Sure. You have every right to be stupid in the confines of your domicile. You do not, however, have the right to be so as an affront to the society that has deigned to host you. Including this one.

The entire notion of the individual has been a false one from the get go. There is no such thing.

    ReplyDelete
  6. So you claim on one hand I have the right to be stupid, but I do not have the right affront weak minded people?
As I said before just because you're offended doesn't mean my freedom should be destroyed. 1CO 10:29

And no individual rights! Geesh you sound like fascist. The Bible teaches personal property rights its also the foundation of the jury system.

For centuries common law developed out of biblical ideas surround individual rights. Without them there is no freedom.

That's where I get my concept of liberty. I have no idea where you dream up your ideas.

You held your breathe, either in or out, built up your craved sensation of urgency, induced your displeasure, an addictive emotion, and then proceeded to indulge in your addiction of knowing.
