The walls are closing in on Obama's spies

Washington Post in April 2018: "The walls are closing in. And Trump's lawyers know it. "

CNN last December: "The walls are closing in on Trump."

Newsweek in March: "Donald Trump Knows Walls Are Closing In As Mueller Report Looms."

Then the Mueller Report arrived. Now the walls are closing in on the spies and others who broke the law on behalf of Obama.

Kimberley A. Strassel of the Wall Street Journal wrote, "Barr gets attacked because his probe endangers powerful people."

(As I read that headline, I could have sworn I heard someone singing, "He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored.")

Strassel wrote, "Mr. Barr made real news in that Senate hearing, and while the press didn’t notice, Democrats did. The attorney general said he’d already assigned people at the Justice Department to assist his investigation of the origins of the Trump-Russia probe. He said his review would be far-reaching — that he was obtaining details from congressional investigations, from the ongoing probe by the department’s inspector general, Michael Horowitz, and even from Mr. Mueller’s work. Mr. Barr said the investigation wouldn’t focus only on the fall 2016 justifications for secret surveillance warrants against Trump team members but would go back months earlier.

"He also said he’d focus on the infamous dossier concocted by opposition-research firm Fusion GPS and British former spy Christopher Steele, on which the FBI relied so heavily in its probe. Mr. Barr acknowledged his concern that the dossier itself could be Russian disinformation, a possibility he described as not “entirely speculative.” He also revealed that the department has “multiple criminal leak investigations under way” into the disclosure of classified details about the Trump-Russia investigation.

"Do not underestimate how many powerful people in Washington have something to lose from Mr. Barr’s probe. Among them: Former and current leaders of the law-enforcement and intelligence communities. The Democratic Party pooh-bahs who paid a foreign national (Mr. Steele) to collect information from Russians and deliver it to the FBI. The government officials who misused their positions to target a presidential campaign. The leakers. The media. More than reputations are at risk. Revelations could lead to lawsuits, formal disciplinary actions, lost jobs, even criminal prosecution."

She has been one of the few voices of reason in a media filled with hysterical people who have a foaming-mouth hatred of Donald John Trump and now, every single one of his supporters. Witness the censoring of us on social media.

Judge Jeanine Pirro has been another Cassandra among the legions of liars.

On Saturday night, she said, "The Democrats have turned into the angry, unreasonable mob that you usually see in the movies, but have you ever seen a real-life bunch of crazies so desperate to hang on to a narrative dispelled by their own team that they’re running around like chickens with their own heads cut off? Their one mantra ‘impeach anyone who gets in their way’ and this week it was this man — Attorney General Bill Barr."

She also said Mueller’s investigation was the "biggest political con job and the closest attempt to a successful coup in American history."

What our Pravda media has failed to understand is the truth eventually seeps out.

And Americans side with the truth.

A CNN poll found "69% think Congress ought to investigate the origins of the Justice Department's inquiry into Russian interference in the 2016 election, including 76% of Democrats, 69% of independents and 62% of Republicans."

Discrediting Bill Barr will do these leeches and villains as much good as overselling Bob Mueller, who failed to find so much as even a jaywalking by President Trump.

Because truth and justice are the American way, the only way to truly Make America Great Again is by sending some people to prison for this coup d'etat by kooks.

  1. Peak wall. Just like Peak Trump. Media wrong as usual.

Now, they can re-run their headlines and put democrats in the title and be right for once. They won’t.

  2. Gee, Don, I hear the theme from "Hang'em High."

    1. Hang 'em higher than Haman!

  3. I will give no credit to trump or barr until most of those criminals are in jail.

I am not satified with bs.

    1. Well, you are certainly satisfied with your own bullshit, jinky, binky boy.

You can take credit for that.

    2. dude, get a job, get a lifg , get a girlfriend, get a hobby ... whatever, just get off the shiot you are on.

  4. I'm curbing my enthusiasm until there's a reason not to. I know I'm a broken record, but sitting through decades of Republican BS has taught me to set aside all the promises and "vows" and "soon", etc. Even if indictments do happen, they probably will not go high enough. The Deep State will protect its own. And, remember, these are the guys who killed Kennedy and MLK. God only knows what threats are being tossed around in DC nowadays. The whole place runs on threats, bribes and blackmail, so nothing should surprise us.

    - Gary B

    1. Great to know, geebee, that you are capable of curbing your enthusiasm.

An enthusiastic would the world survive it???

    2. Gary, it is now not the same Republican party, only the rino's and now due to social media and President Trump "we the people" have been learning the truth, the best thing now is to weed the bad Republicans out by our votes.

I realize we are a nation which is used to fast service but think about how many years these leftist have been in ingrained not only in the Federal, but state and local government's also so we can't expect instant results to be rid of this infestation of liberal/progressive which has morphed into communism rats.
We must work a very long time to get the job done.

    3. Precisely, Kate, precisely.

The MAGA is weak in the busy bee gary.

In fact, all who bemoan our MAGA President have weak MAGA.

We are the foundation upon which MAGA relies.

We are not MAGA to carry the dead weight of the weak minded critics of our MAGA President.

MAGA asks not what our Constitutional Republic can do so the weak don't have to do, but asks what are you going to do for your Constitutional Republic.

The pastime of backseat driving is as valuable as all these weak MAGA barnyard hens.

Be MAGA or be a cackling barnyard hen, gee bee.

      Ya can't be both.

    4. Kate, I appreciate your point about being patient, but I worry that we don't have a lot of time to get this started. It doesn't have to finish quickly, but it should start quickly. Expecting Trump to win in a walk in 2020 is underestimating the enemy. Who the hell knows what tricks they'll pull on him. And, then there's the massive voter fraud issue. Democrats, RINOs and Deep State bureaucrats think all they have to do is wait it out and, after Trump, everything will return to normal. So, taking all of that into consideration, I believe time is of the essence during this mother of all windows of opportunity.

      - Gary B

P.S. Regarding Anonymous... he, she or it is like a mosquito buzzing about speaking in tongues. Difficult to swat, so we must live with the annoyance.

    5. Why, geebee, you flatter yourself quite effortlessly.

      You worry.

      You fret.

      You seem to forget

      That MAGA is us.

MAGA is what we do, not you, fretting and venting your worries upon a comment thread.

      But, hey, it's okay.

You do the best you can.

    6. Perhaps I've misunderstood the whole point of a comment section. Isn't this the place to fret and vent? Pontificating is okay, too. I'm glad you're not in charge because I'd be blacklisted. Do you dream of being in charge?

      - Gary B

    7. Gee, bee, nice of you to be honest about your definition of the usefullness, to you, of a blog comment thread.

A few points, which you are unlikely to ponder, let alone learn from:

      1. This particular blog is about truth. Don values truth. That is why I read Don's postings, they are packed full of truth. That is also why, being as I respect and value truth, do not do what you, and others, do. Aka bitchragging, in all variety of it's flavors.

      2. Pontificating, as you define it, is not the same, for you, as it actually is. You, in your own flavor of bitchragging, pontificate your nature quite accurately. You come here, to comment, to vent your frustration, to fret and vent, as you so generously stated, and this is your stated and chosen purpose. Barnyard hen clucking. Not Little Red Hen bread baking. Thus, weak MAGA.

      3. Granted, weak MAGA is better than no MAGA, anti MAGA and feeble, duplicitous mole anti MAGA. Still, weak. Still, better than nothing.

      4. MAGA does not desire being in charge of anything other than the individual being in charge of him/her self. Thus, no, geebee, no blacklisting for you. You are, because of MAGA, free to present yourself as you are, and free to object to any other presenting their perspective on your presenting yourself. This blog respects MAGA, values MAGA and is imbued with strong MAGA, as evidenced in every single article posted here. Every. Single. Article. Do you appreciate that? If so, show it.

      5. We, the People, the MAGA appreciative People, elected MAGA. We, the People, are the only ones wh can reelect MAGA, and continue to elect and reelect MAGA.

      6. While to sloth inclined, weak MAGA citizens may utilize whatever to fret and vent, the strong MAGA citizens do what is required.

      7. Fret not, busy gary bee, for, fortuitously for thee, weak MAGA are few, strong MAGA are many and getting more every passing day.

      Good luck with the buzzings.

    8. @Gary B- your comment about our resident pain-in-the-butt was spot on:

"he, she or it is like a mosquito buzzing about speaking in tongues. Difficult to swat, so we must live with the annoyance."

Every once in a long, long while this insect will make an actual point; tho maybe that's some other Anon. Hard to tell when none of them have the courage to even put some initials down so we could tell one from another!

    9. You hit the nail on the head, there, e man.

Content of comment defines intended purpose of commenter.

To require self labeling is the desire of the not interested enough to actually read.

Comments are, by nature, rarely so long as to challenge the attention span of most.

And if one insists upon a labeled comment being the only form to read, so what?

Don't read what you want to not read.

As for any unique identifiers, well, you can see that this merrly provides the basis of the nick name game.

Why, our MAGA President avails himself of this opportunity quite often.

  5. The walls are closing in, perhaps, but not nearly fast enough. Sessions in the AG's chair wasted a lot of time, and not a lot of time is left.

    1. Another boo birdy.

And, why, oh why, is there not a lot of time left?

C'mon, boo hoo birdy, bless us all with your wisdom on that.

    2. The walls are closing in! The walls are closing in! OMG, the walls are closing in!

  6. If any justice is visited on these people, my faith in Trump will be restored. Currently it's in the cellar.

    1. Why is that?

    2. @Anonymous - see my reply to @Eskyman below.

    3. Bobby whatzit, maybe it's just you that is in the cellar.

Boo hoo birding on a comment thread.

      Grow a pair.

  7. It is clear as day that the Mueller report is pure b.s. It is even more clear that the entire Trump/Russia thing was a put up job.

  8. A lot of people seem not to understand that it's hard for one man alone, who doesn't want to break the law and who does want to abide by the Constitution, to accomplish things when he's tied down with administrative rules and people actively trying to sabotage everything he does. Entire agencies and departments do their own thing, they're populated with permanent bureaucrats who mostly swing far Left and who can't, in reality, be fired or made to do their job without bias.

Those same agencies & departments work hand-in-hand with Democrat operatives such as the MSM; many MSM figures trade places with gov't people, and they're also intermarried. Incest is best when it's kept in the family you know! So gov’t leaks damaging info to the MSM, who happily publish it, hoping for a public outcry to add more difficulty to Trump’s job, and none of them care if it’s true so long as it throws a spanner into the works.
Now Zero the Abomination could do whatever he liked; nobody held him to account for anything, and the Democrat operatives spent most of their time covering for him and explaining how his actions may appear to break the law, but! He's the Black Messiah so it's OK! The stupid little people that he governs just don't know what's good for them, that's all, and they aren't thankful that they have this god as our ruler, so the MSM had to keep explaining how he’s the best thing since sliced bread.

President Trump gets nothing like that. Every hand is against him, even the so-called Republicans in Congress want him gone. He's upsetting Business as Usual; it's harder to get your graft when he's likely to blow the gaff! He's not letting the neocons have any more profitable wars, he's preventing the sale of arms to our enemies, he's just not good for the dirty business of government! Why, he doesn't even allow any gun-smuggling to the Cartels, the bastard!

So as much as I’d like to see all these traitorous cankers being hanged in the public square, right now if not sooner, I’ll give President Trump the benefit of the doubt. He’s already accomplished far more than I expected, look at our economy! All I’d hoped for was Anybody-But-Hillary, and I’d already given up my country for dead, but Trump has given me hope that maybe yet we can win our country back!

    1. You are correct that Trump is ham tied at almost every turn. But that doesn't explain everything. For example why is he hiring all the same bloodthirsty NeoCons he excoriated during his candidacy? Why is he saying almost nothing as his supporters are being systematically silenced on the internet? Why has he effectively made Jared Kushner his co-President? No one is holding a gun to his head. Or are they?

    2. The Republican party was long ago converted to the Libertarian/Neocon/Democrat paradigm.

Under this thinking, the US populace would benefit from the moving of low paying, labor intensive jobs that may incur environmental problems to other countries while US people would desire and seek cushy office jobs.

      Reality, though, is vastly different.

The result, which Democrats defied their party's historical view, used this fact as cynical way to gain votes for decades.

Trump is as close toba historically correct Republican as you can get today and both Dems and Repubs hate him for it.

    3. Bobby whatzit busts his nut.

Gee, bobby, do ya really have to share your need for a binky with anyone?

    4. I killed the last man who called me Bob or Bobby.

    5. This comment has been removed by the author.

    6. @Robert- I've often wished I was a fly on the wall in the WH, so that I could answer troubling questions like the ones you've raised, but the fact is I don't know.

One possiblity, re: Kushner, is that he's family; when your circle of enemies covers 360° then family is where you turn. I'd prefer he listened more to Don Jr. or Eric myself; their thinking more closely matches mine, but if wishes were horses....

    7. Bobby whatzit says he did what a virus does.

Is bobby whatzit saying he is a virus?

  9. There is an old saying...hold your friends close, but your enemies closer. The freedom of speech issue will be dealt with, just in a different way than we can expect. When you have a cabinet of people that don't perform, who else do you enlist to assist?

  10. Trump walked into a hostile environment, with Dems AND many professional Repubs against him- if he wants a few "bloodthirsty NeoCons" who he thinks can work for him and do the job, and some advisors that he knows he can trust, even if they happen to be his daughter and soninlaw, he gets them. He is speaking out against censorship. And your last 3 sentences are BS.

    1. Yep. The RNC refused to help him in the transition. Trump truly was on his own. Were some mistakes made? Sure, but they were rectified and further addressed if needed.

The accusation that he choose poory on the people on the outset or even a year or more into his administration is pure cynical oppositional politics designed to malig President Trump.

The entire political landscape told him the he would not win and he publicly did not think he would either.

Us Deplorables and Bitter Clingers refused the Groupthink and put him in office, legally per the Constitution.

The rest have refused the election and tried a soft coup using ginned up intel and entrapment of low level Trump campaign staff.

These facts ... yes, they are facts and not up to debate ... make such arguments about Trump's judgements on staff laughable at best.

  11. As Alexander Hamilton said in Federalist paper#41, "A bad cause seldom fails to betray itself".

    1. Dr. Leonard McCoy: "Spock, I've found that evil usually triumphs - unless good is very, very careful."

Let's let Trump, Barr, and the DOJ be very, very careful and see what happens.

  12. I pray daily for Mr. T’s safety, and I think y’all should too. I’m guessing the Secret Service is handling at least one credible threat a day right now. There are some deeply evil people in DC and the country who will absolutely risk or even encourage a Second Civil War as long as Trump’s out of the picture. I, for one, will gladly oblige them.

  13. The lesser crime of Watergate had 69 people, most if not all Republicans, indicted by a Republican DoJ; two former AGs included. 49 were guilty. We should be able to beat that with this soft coup attempt. The congressional leakers were not in debate or speaking on the floor, so they should have NO immunity from prosecution based on Article 1, Section 6 in our Constitution. A test case with Rep Schiff is needed.
