I do not know much about federal judges. I do know that they have enormous power. I also know that they do not like to be lied to.
Jimmy the Weasel Comey may have lied to Judge Rosemary Mayers Collyer, a senior judge on the D.C. Circuit who just happens to be the head of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, which just happens to issue those FISA warrants to spy on American citizens.
Obama used FISA warrants to spy on Donald John Trump's presidential campaign.
Now those chickens are coming home to roost, as Obama's spiritual mentor might put it.
Joseph diGenova is the former U. S. Attorney for the District of Columbia and a former legal counsel to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court. Earlier this week he was on Laura IIngraham’s show on Fox News.
He said new Attorney General Bill Barr will investigate how the FBI got into the business of spying on and trying to infiltrate the Trump campaign. Barr told Congress this weeks ago.
But diGenova also said, "There’s another report that everybody has forgotten about that involves James Comey alone. That will be out in two weeks. That report is going to be a bombshell. It’s going to open the investigation on a very high note.
"The FISA Court abuse is the center of this entire abuse of governmental power. The Chief Judge of that court has already ruled that the FBI broke the law and that the people at the head of the [Obama] Justice Department — [former Deputy Attorney General] Sally Yates, John Carlin, the Assistant Attorney General for National Security, all knew about it and lied to the court, the FISA Court, about it."
But President Trump has known since the election about how Obama and his henchmen (and women) turned the FBI into the KGB.
DiGenova said, "There is a hero in this entire story, and it’s not a lawyer. All the bad people in this story are lawyers. There’s a hero. His name is Admiral Mike Rogers. He was the head of the National Security Agency. He discovered the illegal spying. He went personally to the FISA Court and briefed the Chief Judge and worked with her for months to uncover the people who did it. The FISA Court has already told the Justice department who lied to that court and that has been given to Bill Barr already."
Admiral Rogers met with President-elect Trump in November 2016. Rogers did not tell Obama about the meeting. Obama was outraged. Foreign Policy columnist James Bamford gave the Democrat spin to NPR.
Bamford said, "I don't know what the rules are, but it certainly is unethical, I would think, to quietly sneak off to New York and meet with an incoming administration without even having the courtesy of telling them that you're going to do it."
Gee, a spy sneaks around.
George Parry is a former prosecutor at both the state and federal levels.
He wrote, "The Watergate burglary was a bungled attempt by the Committee to Re-Elect President Nixon to break into Democrat headquarters to plant listening devices in the telephones. The burglary failed, but the national outrage at the mere attempt drove Nixon from office and sent members of his administration to prison. As bad as that was, at least the Nixon campaign didn’t corrupt the FBI and CIA to do its dirty work. So it is that, if our official law enforcement and intelligence agencies were co-opted by the Obama administration to illegally spy on American citizens and the opposition party, this will be the worst governmental scandal and threat to our civil liberties in the history of the nation.
"If Joe diGenova is right, the very survival of the rule of law and our constitutional republic mandates that these treasonous thugs — no matter how highly placed in the Obama administration — be exposed, charged, and imprisoned."
We shall see if there is enough evidence to nail Comey and the rest of the pack of rats.
In the meantime, I suggest Comey lawyer up. The U.S. attorney working with the Department of Justice's inspector general will soon issue his report. Barr is investigating. And that FISA court report is coming sometime this month.
Of all his possible crimes, lying to Judge Collyer is the most troublesome.
Welcome to the party, pal.
ReplyDeleteBring it on.
ReplyDeleteIF THE FISA warrants were illegally obtained, then the chain of evidence is tainted that was used by Mueller to charge many of the members of the Trump campaign and/or administration.
ReplyDeleteNot an attorney here, but I wonder if those folks (Flynn, etc.) can be exonerated. Probably not those that tax and other illegal activities were found, but Flynn and Papadopoulos and others. Interesting.
DeleteBlah, blah, blah... The only thing that matters are perp walks. All of this "soon" and "will investigate" and "mandates," etc. is boring me to death. Starting an investigation on a case where incriminating facts are already in the public domain is just another version of kick the can. Actual Republicans all around America have seen this delaying bullshit for decades - decades. The result is chronic cynicism and for good reason.

Gary must be reading my mind:)
DeleteYeah, I worry they'll try to run out the statute of limitations.
DeleteI'm in agreement with Gary.
DeleteI'll believe in bombshells when they lock her up.
The right is getting just as excited about the inspector general's report as the left was about the Mueller report. Alas, the IG is part of the Deep State and I suspect the report will be a nothing burger just like Mueller's report. It would be nice to see the perps go to jail but I'll believe it when I see it. - GOC
ReplyDeleteMeh..."Honest Jim" Comey is just ONE of the scumbag Democrat insurrectionists who will skate away scot-free...
ReplyDeleteThe FISA court Judges were all in on it!
ReplyDeleteThat's what I've been thinking too. Why are they above reproach?
DeleteI figure they will throw Comey to the wolves and everybody else walks.
ReplyDeleteThat would be bad. Brennan and Clapper have to be in prison too. Along with Hillary and Obama of course.
DeleteNothing will come of this. It will all
ReplyDeletego the old Potomac two step way
Unfortunately I expect that these crooks will see the same amount of prison time as their fellow criminals like koskinen and lerner. Hope Im wrong
ReplyDeleteSounds great. We’ll see.
ReplyDeleteThe Deep State Plotters were even more inept than the Watergate Burglars.
ReplyDeleteI sent an e-mail to a scumbag opposing counsel and he cried so loud to the state bar they threatened my career and livelihood. Over an e-mail! Yet these people lie to a FISA court, everyone knows they lied, and has known for years and nothing happens. I will believe they will pay for it when I see it. And where is Chief Justice Roberts by the way, as the top dog in the federal courts?
ReplyDeleteThe whole thing probably leads to Obama and Hillary with two dozen or so senior level officials involved in criminal activity (we know most of the names already). My greatest concern about all of this, even if it is fully and aggressively investigated, is that some new societal "rule" will be concocted to ultimately protect Obama and Hillary. Something like "if we put a former president or presidential candidate in prison, that makes us look like a banana republic". Some past examples of rules like this are: 1) nobody can be qualified as commander in chief unless they have military service -changed as soon as Bill Clinton ran. 2)any candidate who does not, in advance accept the outcome of the election is a danger to our republic - instituted by Hillary in the last debate - revoked by Hillary on around midnight of the election. They are great at making up all the rules (not laws, rules) they want, whenever they need to.
ReplyDeleteFor this reason my hope is that no deals will be offered to any high-level official. What good would it be to grant immunity to, say, McCabe in order to get testimony and evidence against Hillary, only to see her walk free at the end. Better to put McCabe away for 15 years or so and build the case against Hillary as best as can be done without giving any deals away. This is do-able.
To sum it up, my concern is that many or most of the underlings will be given deals in order to get the bosses. The bosses will get convicted and sentenced to 6 months probation, because after all "haven't they paid enough by having their reputation and legacies ruined?" This would be an absolute disaster if it happened that way. This country is in dire need of real justice
Eric W.
Killary didn't revoke that "rule" from the last debate at midnight after the election----she was already far too drunk and being heavily sedated to prevent her shattering the windows of her suite and jumping out to avoid the hangman's noose.

A) Comey Lied. And illegally spied.
ReplyDeleteB) The FISA judge, Judge Collyer or whoever, who signed off, should be impeached.
either 1) they were lazy and incompetent in not affirmatively checking that each piece of info was verified, and how it was verified, or
2) they were "wink and nod" in on the plot.
The FISA judge has the job of NOT signing up to allow spying unless there is verified data to back up the spying.
It wasn't verified.
The FBI, Comey, lied. Should go to jail.
The FISA judge wrongly accepted it. Should be impeached.
^^ B) It doesn't work that way. The FISA court judges aren't verifiers. The applications come to the FISA court judges already verified. Indeed, at the top of each page, it says "VERIFIED," and the judges accept that. The verification process is already completed by the time it lands on a FISA court judge's desk.
