HBO Trumpenfreude

Remember when Rosie O’Donnell was the queen of nice? Then she grilled Tom Selleck about the NRA, flashing the fangs that she is now famous for. She also has tussled with The Donald, most recently saying his youngest son is autistic, which is news to the rest of the world.

Meanwhile, actor Mark Ruffalo also is no fan of our president, the honorable Donald John Trump. Well, Hollywood is the most conformist town in America.  Dissent gets you blacklisted.

Ruffalo and O'Donnell star in a new HBO series, "I Know This Much Is True," which surprisingly is not a biography of Spandau Ballet.

A fire burned down a set on Thursday. No one was hurt but it is a big loss.

General manager Chris Busby told the Poughkeepsie Journal, "There’s nothing left. It’s a huge loss for us and HBO. They are just as heartbroken over this as we are."

HBO is a sister network to CNN and TBS. The latter employs Samantha Bee. Its management saw nothing wrong with her calling the president's daughter the C-word.

Fires are bad and my heart goes out to the firemen and firewomen who had to fight the fire in the middle of the night.

HBO is also bad. If Trumpenfreude is wrong, I don't want to be right.

  1. Hollywood is the most conformist town in America. Dissent gets you blacklisted.

The same can be said about DC.

  2. The Smell of Trumpenfruede ; slightly sweet with a hint of singed coyote hair and spent Acme Rocket fuel..

  3. I love the smell of fire in the morning. Smells like.... victory. :-)

  4. The fire destroyed a car dealership (where the filming was taking place) and 20 vintage cars and also displaced three families. Rosie and the residents of the liberal New York suburb will find a way to blame PDJT.

  5. Rosie perforning ballet, with Spandaus to provide incentive.
My mind works in strange ways.
