California growth poops out

Congratulation, liberals. You have taken another American success and turned it into well, what people now leave on the streets of San Francisco.

The Los Angeles Times reported, "California’s 2018 population growth was the slowest in state history, new demographic data show — underscoring shifting immigration patterns, declining birthrates and economic strains that are making it harder for some to afford living here."

The Golden State added but 18,000 people to its population last year, a growth rate of 0.047%.

Anti-populist policies such as providing welfare for illegal aliens, high taxes, and boondoggles (such as the high speed train to nowhere for no one) have made it clear that California's Democrat government does not want the American middle class.

The mayors of Los Angeles and San Francisco have turned their cities into havens for bums, drunks, and drug abusers, allowing them to break the norms on sanitation while aiding and abetting their illegal drug use.

California increasingly is not an American state but a third-world state.

27% of its population is foreign born, with up to 5 million being here illegally.

President Donald John Trump's crackdown on immigration slowed to a trickle the influx of illegal aliens. It may be too little too late to save the state, but it will spare the nation from Californicating itelf.

  1. Idea: free bus rides to California for local freeloaders.

  2. Portland already has a super majority of demo commies but the mayor wants more bums for votes. Demo commies don't care that hizzoner wants Portland to look like San Francrisco and Seattle.

    1. I used to like Portland back when it called itself "The Rose City--the biggest small town on Earth". Now, my motto is "stay out of big cities, they're going to burn first!"

  3. What a regrettable outcome for what was once the Promised Land. When I was posted to the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA in the 1970's I was astounded by the climate and natural beauty as well as the positive dynamism of the state. These days I regret watching the awful decline wrought by political forces bent on their own mad agenda.

    1. I was released from my army service at Ft Ord California in 1965. It was heaven on a sick. UNTIL the looney left ( see Angela Davis) and drugged out hippies decided to tear it down.Regan was governor and the place fired in spite of the loonies. Such a shame it has become a genuine shit hole.

    2. I passed through Camp Pendleton in the 60's and the thing I remember most was the people. On family holidays people were always asking us to come celebrate the holiday with their family. I thought that Texas was a pretty friendly place until then. As for beauty, I didn't find Las Pulgas to be beautiful, but going back in 2008 changed my mind.

    2. It's actually worse than it looks - that big splotch near the middle is actually the Financial District.

You know, that's where those evil people that actually work, work.

  6. I'm starting to get offended at these comparisons of California to a "third world" country. I've been to a number of third world countries. And, yes, while they do have their problems, the people there are overwhelmingly friendly, happy and optimistic (and they like Donald Trump the man). These places are trying to improve themselves and bring out better futures for their children. I've never seen anyone poop in the streets of South America, for example.

What have the people in these third world countries done to justify your comparison of them to California and Californians? Apologize now, sir.

  7. I don't know where the "18,000 people added" number came from; the LAT article says "The state added 186,807 residents last year," but nowhere do they say how they determined how many illegal aliens jumped the border and are now here.

Perhaps they have a divining service to provide those numbers, using the entrails of a vulture killed by automotive exhausts, or maybe they plucked it from their ample fundaments where the dingleberrys grow.

However they arrive at the figure, I think it's poppycock, and I'd bet that we got at least 1M new criminals in the state last year alone. Old-time CA residents, the white people who are supposed to pay all the bills, are leaving in droves.

Hopefully, soon I will be too.

  8. The Right builds, the Left destroys. In the case of CA, the Right can't build fast enough to make up for the destruction by the Left.

  9. A lot of people are leaving California.

Or should we say, Lot is leaving.

    Recall what comes next.

  10. I moved to Calif in 1967. I lived in nc while in army and later in tx while driving truck. Every time I came back it was an order of magnitude worse. And now the democrats have cemented themselves into office. More corrupt than chitcago. Los ah-oles, corruptifornia.
As mark twain pointed out,"haint we got the fools in town on our side? And ain't that always a big enuff majority in any town?"

  12. I left CA in 1978 in part because Moonbeam Brown and the Democratic legislature were taking my 40 acres of mountain land close to Lake Tahoe and putting it in a yearly reissued 10 year preservation group preventing me from using it for anything while they lowered my property taxes. I used a loophole to escape the law. They are getting what they deserve.
