This is no time to be polite and pretend the other side has been civil. UnAmerican activities such as spying on political opponents cannot go unpunished because the penalty for crossing that line must be greater than the reward -- or else people will continue to do that.
Did Democrats shrug off Watergate?
We are in win-or-die politics. This is no time to forgive and forget and move on. Clapper, Brennan, and Comey weaponized America's intelligence and law enforcement apparatus to create a KGB for Obama that they planned to hand over to Hillary.
President Trump needs to keep this story in the American conscience. You don't just put a Band-Aid on it and kiss this boo-boo to make it better.

President Trump has shown that he can multi-task without using that shopworn word. He has renegotiated trade deals, revived the economy, restructured NATO, wiped out ISIS as a military threat, moved the embassy to Jerusalem, cut taxes, appointed judges, and otherwise has done more in less than three years than Obama did in eight (and thank goodness he was a lazy bum).
President Trump did all this while poking the Mueller bear and fending off an unprecedented number of attacks.
Donald John Trump needs to keep this unpatriotic attack in the public conscience because we cannot survive as a republic if we accept this attack from within.
And when the republic ends, there will be a dictator.
President Trump is our last best hope. Don't saddle him with bad advice.

Now is the time to proceed and with all due haste. Complete and total exposure, prosecution and appropriate penalties must be imposed. Inappropriate and illegal immunity given to various Obama Administration officials and Hillary advisers must be revoked for the criminal frauds they always were. The law allows for correcting such corrupt tampering with justice. They in and of themselves are separate crimes. Finally, you are addressing the real issues in a serious way. Your overall evaluation and summary is exactly what needs to widely disseminated until the Administration can't avoid, but to take this schit for exactly what it is, namely a war for the very existence of America. Good job. Keep it up.
ReplyDeleteGoodwin is and has been a conventional wisdom pundit who would of course espouse the "can't we all move on?" crap. Yeah, sure if the other side would accept reality and the election of 2016 all things are possible but I see no signs of that. Does anyone else?

ReplyDeleteA fellow who claimed to have been a Republican Party insider told me that the reason Democrats get away with so much lawbreaking is because the GOP is afraid, if the public new its extent, there would be a civil war.
I have no way of knowing whether that's true, but as a theory, it's reasonably good. That's how the GOP tends to behave. They behave like the female protagonist in a horror movie or thriller flick.
Ever notice that, at some point, the woman always gets the upper hand against the dastardly killer? Hits him on the head, or wings him with a pistol? Good, bad guy's down. But then what? Instead of staying and finishing him, she runs off. Then the bad guy gets another chance or two to do her in.
That's what Goodwin is suggesting Donald Trump do: let the Democrats recover and regroup.
What the damsel in distress needs to do, when the bad guy is down and bleeding, is finish the job.
He should seek peace with the democrats,... a Carthaginian Peace.
