TV star pleads guilty in sex slavery case

Hollywood was shocked to learn that Lori Loughlin of "Full House" and "Fuller House" fame was charged with bribing people to get her daughter into a fancy college. Big deal Moms will do anything for their kids.

But I am horrified by actress Allison Mack of "Smallville," who just pleaded guilty this morning to a charge for her role in recruiting women to serve as sex slaves in the Nxivm cult.

That is plain evil.

The New York Post reported, "A sobbing Mack, 36, appeared before a judge in Brooklyn federal court, where she copped to racketeering and racketeering conspiracy charges — including extortion and forced labor — just hours before jury selection was set to begin in her case."

Oh boo hoo hoo.

I trust Judge Nicholas Garaufis remembered she is an actress.

She said, "Mack confessed to being part of a secret master-slave group within Nxivm called DOS, admitting that she kept a slave and instructed women in the group “to perform services for me.”

"She said the system was 'designed to make them think they could suffer serious harm' if they didn’t perform the services — because they’d handed over damaging collateral to DOS such as nude photos and financial details."

The newspaper reported Mack faces 20 years in prison under the charges she pleaded guilty to Monday.

The newspaper also said she was among six people arrested last year over their roles in Nxivm, including Raniere and Seagram’s liquor heiress Claire Bronfman, who helped fund the organization with her vast fortune.

Bronfman was a major donor to Hillary's campaign.

Her legal team includes Mark Geragos who was named as a conspirator in Creepy Porn Lawyer Michael Avenatti's alleged attempt to extort $20 million from Nike.

Fox News reported, "Mack allegedly got involved with the group when she was unhappy with her acting career. She reportedly rose in the ranks to become a key player in its activities, which allegedly included branding its members and finding sex slaves for Raniere."

Loughlin's only crime was in going about college bribery wrong. Dr. Dre and producer Jimmy Iovine made a $70 million donation to USC in 2013. Lo and behold, the school accepted her and he bragged about it. So let's douse the virtue signal on Loughlin.

Mack? Lock her up.

We'll see if the Daily Show and other late-night TV shows go after her.

I thought the same thing when Hanoi Jane tried to disavow her past that time.

  5. I have an old book I read way back in college about the history of vice. I remember being impressed that the only innovation our modern era added to the subject is electric toys. If it was physically possible, the Greeks and Romans tried it.
I think it's also important to remember that most of the ancient philosophers, from Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle on were living at the degenerate end of their empires. Same for the Romans later on. We are clearly in a very degenerate phase of western civilization. Whether a renaissance can be had for us in our time is still to be determined. But the odds from historical experience don't look good.
