Trump's threat worked

Friday 12:38 PM:

Due to the fact that Democrats are unwilling to change our very dangerous immigration laws, we are indeed, as reported, giving strong considerations to placing Illegal Immigrants in Sanctuary Cities only....

Friday 4:45 PM:

AP: "The Latest: Court allows return of asylum seekers to Mexico."

The background is simple. On Monday, Judge Richard Seeborg ruled that we must take in anyone who claims asylum and let them stay in the USA until their hearing. Illegal aliens often skip the hearings and the deportation that goes with them.

In other words, Seeborg single-handedly erased our border.

Seeborg is the same obstructionist judge who earlier blocked the Trump administration from restoring the citizenship question on the census that Obama had unilaterally removed in the 2010 Census. That unconstitutional decision is on appeal.

Seeborg is one of the hundreds of political operatives Obama embedded in the judiciary for the rest of their lives. They are part of the resistance. We call them Hawaiian judges.

President Trump likely would have prevailed on appeal. These Hawaiian judges have a poor track record in appellate court.

But he wanted to make sure that he won.

Plus, sticking it to liberals is always fun. California calls itself a sanctuary state.

The president just told them: sanctuary this.

A three-member panel of the Ninth backed down.

The Recorder reported, "the panel — made up of Circuit Judges Diarmuid O’Scannlain, William Fletcher and Paul Watford — has stayed Seeborg’s nationwide injunction until it can hear the government’s emergency motion. It set a Tuesday morning deadline for plaintiffs in the case to file an opposition to the government’s request."

How does a district judge get the power to issue a nationwide injunction? Congress needs to limit rulings by judges like Seeborg to the their district.

Or better yet, the Supreme Court should.

But that battle is for a future day.

For now, President Trump succeeded in keeping illegal aliens out of the country until they can prove they really are refugees.

And we all had fun watching Donald John Trump checkmate the opposition.

This allowing petty low-level judges to make decisions that overrule the Executive or Legislative branches needs to be done away with once and for all.

    1. I don't know how this can be stopped, but it does need to be stopped. What would be the proper venue for complaining? I certainly do not know.

  5. He knows exactly how to play the media from his decades dealing with them in new york. Plus this forces the weekend tv talking heads to discuss sanctuary cities, which all regular voters despise.

There’s no immigration or asylum crisis on the border.

Putting immigrants who are claiming asylum in sanctuary cities would be a crisis.

    Pick one. ...

Sanctuary cities are the most compassionate cities in America because they welcome immigrants with open arms, regardless of the cost.

It’s evil to suggest sanctuary cities should absorb any of the mass influx of immigrants at the border.

    Pick one.

None are refugees (or "asylees"). Zero. They are safe. They are guests of Mexico.

  8. Another way would be to just strip all these activist judges of the police power which has only been on loan to them by tradition, from the Executive Branch, which is the only branch of the federal government with police power. Just neuter these judges and ignore them.

  9. For good measure and fun, President Trump should begin housing all illegal immigrants who cannot be immediately returned, in Hawaii. There is no place to go, they cannot simply walk or hitch a ride to destinations unknown, it has a good climate favorable to what they are used to in most cases, and since liberals love em, and Hawaii is chock full of liberals, they can have a luau love fest.

  10. Go to any university town. You'll find somewhere in that town, generally prominently displayed, a "welcome refugees" sign. Send them there. Except the on I live in, of course.

  14. Yet another win -- almost certainly it's hard to say "they can all come in" yet at the same time "but not be sent to cities that welcome them."

Those who do NOT want illegals do think that getting them is punishment. Border towns are being punished.
