Howard Kurtz regresses to CNN ways

Fox News is unwatchable. Too many of its personalities are trying to impress their buddies at other news outlets. I used to tolerate Shep Smith, respect Chris Wallace, and like Neal Cavuto. Now I would rather watch the Kardashians.

Howard Kurtz, meanwhile, has reverted to his CNN form.

Breitbart News reported, "On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox Business Network’s 'Cavuto: Coast to Coast,' Fox News Analyst and host Howard Kurtz stated that some people on the right 'are going too far' by claiming that the Mueller report completely exonerates President Trump “as if there’s no embarrassing or damaging material in here.' He added that 'too many' people in the media aren’t accepting that there are no further charges."

How is it not vindication?

The American news media -- including many people on Fox News -- said Donald John Trump colluded with the Russian government to rig the election in his favor.

Two years, $25 million, 500 witness and 2,800 subpoenaed documents later 16 Democrat lawyers and Bob Mueller could not find a smidgen of evidence of Russian Collusion.

There was none to be found because there was none.

The peeing prostitutes that CNN promised us do not exist.

I get that Kurtz is trying to play it up the middle by saying gee both sides were wrong but the problem is only one side was wrong.

The investigation vindicated President Trump of a very awful and unsubstantiated allegation brought by the highest officials in the Obama administration: Clapper, Comey and the Commie Brennan.

Fox News isn't as bad as CNN in much the same way as poison ivy isn't as bad as the German measles, but I don't want to have either.

I would rather keep up with the Kardashians, thank you.

  1. I am absolutely shocked and dismayed to learn that politicians (and the people who work for them) occasionally bend the truth!

"I did not have sex with that woman."
    "Iraq has WMDs."
"If you like your plan, you can keep your plan."
    "We landed under sniper fire."

    1. Actually, Iraq had WMDs (many of which IS used), but the Ministry of Propaganda couldn't allow Dubya to be right.

    2. Actually, Billy Jeff said, "I did not have sexual RELATIONS with that woman -- Ms, Lewinsky." I knew instantly he was lying. Why would the first president of the rock and roll generation use a dated phrase like "sexual relations" unless he was hiding something?

  2. Or cut the cord and go without cable, force news and entertainment providers to stand alone in the marketplace. If you want to watch Kardashians, then stream Kardashians.

    1. Over a decade ago I realized that TV "news" was nothing but propaganda. I also realized that I wasn't watching any TV shows regularly; mostly I watched old movies. So I cut the TV cable.

Since then, I don't contribute to CNN, MSNBC, or any of these cable #FakeNews stations like people with a cable package do; I've saved myself around $90/mo and got lower blood pressure too. I haven't missed anything, everything important is streamed somewhere, and I don't have to put up with any talking heads spouting rubbish.

Anyone in doubt should try it. You've got nothing to lose!

    2. Same here. Never looked back. I can still find the infrequent worthwhile stuff elsewhere. Mostly it's PBS (minus the pissy hats & fake news Judy Woodruff) or $1 tag sale dvd's or borrowed series from the library.

I drive by ESPN headquarters twice a day and give them the finger. Sometimes even when I don't have to go that way.

  3. Kurtz may be trying to keep his bona fides as antiTrump. Fox is being rotted out by the Murdoch Scion who lives in LA. If K lost his job there as being insufficiently Trump hateful where would he go? Anywhere else is already a krankenhaus of Trump psychosis. Better be prepared with the right resume. And now Look: The leader of the pack NYT has admitted the Dossier was a fake. They knew all along. So, What is left? "obstruction'! Banzai banzai!
But Barr is landing on the beach. Who might he find hiding in the Concubine Collusion bunker? Generalissimo Zero and his harem! A last counter attack from OstengrupenManhattan will be ordered from those ruins:
Barr will be outed as a racist! just like Kate Smith! Kurtz is setting himself up well. Yes yes I knew it...

  4. Cavuto , to me, is unwatchable for numerous reasons, but the biggest reason is, he CONSTANTLY interrupts his guest, and he gives credence to Leftist mouthpieces, like the Caveman, Al Green, without ANY push back to Green's idiocy...Shepard Smith is , and always has been, an insufferable windbag..He must have something on someone at Fox, because he just aint all that.....I'm still trying to figure out not only, the Donna Brazille thing, but, I guess they are trying to lure Moderate Dems off the CNN/MSNBC plantation, but how in God's name is ever on the Five, with Gutfeld, et al, is beyond me... Perhaps Gutfeld is being punished by someone in the Fox Cadre for a misgiving that is not public...

  5. Fox, like their peers, get issued the same talking points for their nightly "news". They are incapable of producing anything other, they just put a slant for the folks that think Fox is any better than the rest.

  6. You don't get it. Without this, there is only GOOD news in America and none of them can simply have THAT! Think about the ratings!!!!!$$$$$$

  7. To most people like myself Fox News is Tucker, Sean and Laura on the weekdays, Jesse, Jeanine and Greg on Saturdays , Mark on Sundays and internet clips of Mollie Hemmingway.

That's nineteen hours a week where we will not hear anti-Trump voices treated with respect. In fact those bozos will be disrespected, ridiculed and mocked. So unless you are a bed bound conservative without a functioning remote or internet access, who cares what's on Fox News prior to primetime.

Sadly we are subjected to leftist news spin from the Fox News ticker.

  10. It is amusing to hear that Trump should also get some of the blame because he negitavely reacted to a phony, trumped up hoax meant to either cripple his presidency or force his resignation. What a big baby! Move on my @ss.

  11. The Left still trying to push the Russiagate barrow while the country wants to move forward is like your folks playing Mel Tormé while you wanted to rock out.

  12. The little I have watched of One America News (OAN) is impressive. Given time they will overtake Fox.

  13. Sadly, I must agree. I turned on FNC for the first time in four days last night to be greeted by some Infobabe I've never seen before "interviewing" a GOP congressman about the Mueller report and she acted like a prosecutor doing a hostile cross-examination. She kept interrupting the guy, saying, "But the report says this" and the "report says that." He seemed taken by surprise. (I sure was.) Don't think I am going to be watching much anymore.

  14. I recognized the 'slow slide' to the dark side at Fox when it began. I watch Stuart Varney and get the rest of my news from select sources on the internet. Sites such as this one. sites I have come to trust more rather than less....

  15. Lou Dobbs, Tucker, Hannity and Laura.

I stream only and don't miss the rapidly sliding left Fox News.

  16. I'm going to tout One America News Network, OANN, as a reasonable alternative to cable news. It covers the news in a straight manner, and has conservative talking heads. And its brief historical vignettes are charming and of real value to children who won't be learning straight history in school.

Highly recommended. Also very few commercials, though that's in exchange for a $5 per month streaming subscription fee. The fee guarantees no boycott pressure, though.

Good value, and worth our support.
