Press does not meet Rolling Stone's standards

And it is a music magazine that lied about gang rapes at the University of Virginia.

But Matt Taibbi, the national reporter for the magazine, is holding the rest of the media accountable for their lies about a Russian Collusion story that was really a cover for Obama's domestic spying program, which was on a scale that Nixon could not imagine.

Taibbi wrote, "You know what was fake news? Most of the Russiagate story. There was no Trump-Russia conspiracy, that thing we just spent three years chasing. The Mueller Report is crystal clear on this.

"He didn’t just 'fail to establish' evidence of crime. His report is full of incredibly damning passages, like one about Russian officialdom’s efforts to reach the Trump campaign after the election: 'They appeared not to have preexisting contacts and struggled to connect with senior officials around the President-Elect.'

"Not only was there no 'collusion,' the two camps didn’t even have each others’ phone numbers!"

The press piddled its credibility away on this nonsense.

He wrote, "Reporters should be furious about being fed these red herrings. They should be outraged at all those people who urged them to publish the Steele report, which might have led to career-imperiling mistakes in print. They should be mad as hell at CIA chief Gina Haspel and the other unnamed officials who told them disclosing the name of already long-ago exposed government informant Stefan Halper would 'risk lives.'

"More than anything, reporters should be furious at the many sources close to the various investigations who (it now seems clear) must have known pretty early there were serious holes in many areas of this story, and that a lot of these 'dots' were dead ends, but didn’t warn their press counterparts. For instance, the papers should be mad those who supposedly had misgivings about the Steele report didn’t warn them earlier.

"But they’re not mad, which makes it look like a case of intentional blindness, in which eyes and ears were shut among other things because the Trump-Russia conspiracy tale made a ton of money. Media companies earned boffo ratings while the Mueller probe still carried the drama of a potential spectacular ending, with blue-state audiences eating up all those 'walls are closing in' hot takes."

The bottom line is this from Taibbi: "We’re not trying to be right more often than Trump — we’re trying to not be wrong, ever. It’s a standard, not a competition."

The White House Correspondents Association dinner is tonight. It should be a wake for the collective credibility of the reporters covering the White House, even for the few who did not indulge in faking the news for Obama.

  1. I pity the poor Trump Admin person who draws the short straw and has to take one for the team, and attend. A night of abuse from fools.

    1. Won't happen. President Trump has told them not to attend.

"President Donald Trump, who bemoaned his treatment by the news media in a flurry of tweets on Tuesday, has barred members of his staff and administration from attending the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner on Saturday, officials said."

    2. I'm sure he will have eyes and ears there that he can trust. Just not anyone with a high enough profile to be noticed.

  2. Journalists are sleeper agents for the left. The only time they wake up is when they are given the proper signal. Right now they are in a no wake zone. There won't be a wake because they aren't woke.

Here's wondering how long it will take the ninnies to stop talking about "the ten cases of obstruction referred to in the report" when months have gone by and there are no indictments.

    1. The real ten cases of obstruction are where Mule Ears used his investigation to hinder investigation of HiLlARy, ValJar, Barry, Peter Stroker, Lisa his lover, Commie, rotten Rod, Human, Loretta Lynch, and of course, himself. Might be over a hundred incidents of obstruction.

    2. "Journalists are sleeper agents for the left". There is the world champion gold medal for journalism waiting for the person who can concretely expose the collusion among specific journalists and news personalities, and the Communist left. I am positive that a network of these "reporters" are actually receiving money for pushing the stealth Communist agenda. Somewhere there must be a brave whistleblower who will expose this.

    3. They're not doing it for money. They're "true believers" and while they do receive some intrinsic rewards they're willing to sacrifice their reputations and more for the cause. That's the most scary part.

  3. The press colluded with the left.
They don't give a damn about getting it right.
    Marxists only care about power.
    By any means necessary.

  4. Our press have been actively lying to us since before the (un)civil war. Who told the southern folks that Lincoln was gonna take their slaves? Who inspired people who had never heard him speak to hate him like sane people hate the Slinky?

  5. So the spin this member of the press is pushing is that the Leftist Propaganda Machine were a bunch of patsies tricked by their sources. Lying sources.
    Wrong.
Exhibiy A. None will ever out the liars feeding them bullshit stories.
The press is in on the scam.
I hope some are prosecuted for their part.

  7. Let's remember how Obama compromised and weaponized the media, shall we?

Ben Rhodes (reporters are easy to manipulate) whose brother David was president of CBS news: ABC news president Ben Sherwood's sister is Dr. Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall, Special Assistant to Barack Obama: former Obama spokesman Jay Carney is married to ABC reporter Claire Shipman; Virginia Moseley, CNN Vice President and Washington Bureau Chief is married to Tom Nides, a Deputy Secretary of State under Barack Obama; NPR’s White House correspondent, Ari Shapiro, is married to a lawyer, Michael Gottlieb, who joined the White House counsel’s office in April; The Post‘s Justice Department reporter, Sari Horwitz, is married to William B. Schultz, the general counsel of the Department of Human Services;[VP] Biden’s communications director, Shailagh Murray (a former Post congressional reporter), is married to Neil King, one of the Wall Street Journal‘s top political reporters.

    2. Good list of bad people!

Let's not forget John Brennan, ex- Obama CIA Director who now works as a consultant for NBC, and others like him who work for CNN & other FakeNewsMedia outlets. There are a lot of close ties, which "objective, unbiased reporters" shouldn't have, as this Daily Caller article discusses:

It wasn't about the money, Matt. It was being in the tank for the Dem Party and being against the American People.

    1. It may have started with politics but rapidly became money. Then it was all money all the time. The media barons are without ethics because they debilitate competitive advantage in a cut throat business. They are also shielded by 1A so have no worries about personal consequence. It is a Dream Land existence.
