Oh, now Democrats need us

Ten years ago, Democrats nominated for the Supreme Court Sonia Sotomayor who had said, "I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn't lived that life."

Last fall, during the midterm election, Michelle Obama cut a "public service announcement" -- a get out the Democrat vote effort in reality -- in which she said, "women of color know how to get things done for our families, for our communities, and for our country. When we use our voices, people listen. When we lead, people follow. And when we do it together, there’s just no telling what we can accomplish."

Her last job was a $300,000 a year part-time job at the University of Chicago Hospital following her husband's election to the Senate.

Bribes come in various shapes and sizes.

For the last 50 years or so, Democrats have portrayed white working class people as racists and bigots. We are Archie Bunker.

The funny thing about that show is Bunker took care of his family, unlike Meathead. At one point, Bunker had two jobs including a dangerous gig as a taxi driver. He got mugged.

Meathead never had a job. I worked my way through college. I took care of my wife and our first child.

Over time, Bunker changed his opinions about race and other matters over time. He had an open mind.

Meathead never did. He ignored facts that did not fit his preconceived notions. He was close-minded.

Democrats are still that way, only now, these Meatheads realize they need Archie Bunker to win because white people still are a majority in this country.

The Associated Press posted a report, "After 2016 loss, Democrats know they need white male voters."

The story quoted Democratic pollster Ronald Lester, who worked for Hillary Clinton’s campaign in 2016.

Lester said, "The white male vote is indispensable, it’s a part of any winning coalition."

So why did Hillary call us deplorable?

Why did Joe Biden call us the dregs of society?

Good luck, but no thanks.

Mike Stivic: In today's society, people throw things out because they don't work.

Archie Bunker: Well you don't work, maybe we should throw you out.

  1. And now Pete Buttigieg calls us "unbelievable" hypocrites.

Deplorables, dregs, hypocrites--that's what the Democrats think of white Americans today.

And why the universities need to be taxed and defunded.

  2. This is Democrat Leadership Council redux.

And look who was in charge of that major deception: the Clintons.

And where did that end up? Homosexual marriage, a faggot military, and identity politics out the wazoo.

Sure, there will be a few legacy Democrats willing to bite. I knew a guy who worked as a maintenance guy at the hospital who helped his son race cars for a living. Voted for Al Gore because he was a "veteran". I think the idiot is dead now, but I hope he lived long enough to see how stupid he was. But you know, I bet he was too stupid to figure it out anyway.

That's where they get their voters.

    1. One of the best things that ever happened to our family was my nephew's marriage to a man. His husband has a great job and is a gourmet chef to boot. My sister and I couldn't be happier.

    4. My son is gay, is in a stable relationship, will receive his Master of Arts in a year and will then enter a PhD program with an eye toward becoming a professor of Music. He is incredibly funny, insightful about people and immensely talented. As a retired Navy man I would be honored if he were to serve our country, as his older brother did. Your ideas, sir, are from the Neanderthal period of American history and are not welcome among rational conservatives. I will pray for your enlightenment.

    7. Dave, to be thrilled that your son is gay and headed towards a dead end shows you are anything but a "rational conservative." No rational conservative will ever agree with your stupidity.

      2. A parent who loves is a parent. A parent who judges, who fancies powers of prophecy, who deems itself as knowing the will of whichever deity it proffesses to worship and submit to, is not.

      3. We, all bodies designed to die, choose our perspectives where we can. Common imposed perspectives can also be pretended to not be, when and for as long as their consequences do not make us dead.

      4. Believe as you will, do as you believe, continue until you die. As do all bodies.

  3. Let's face it, white working-class folks aren't too bright some (most?) of the time. Look how much contempt has been heaped on their heads, and still many will vote the Big "D" because they think that's the party of compassion. There are millions of Edith Bunkers out there.

  5. What's funny is the democrats act like they need an anthropologist to go out to flyover country to understand what the "locals" believe or want, that is how out of touch they are. "Maybe if we dress up one of our own as an Army veteran or perhaps drink a beer on a video they may accept us", they think. How condescending is that?

  6. Rob Reiner is Meathead in real life. He wasn’t acting (except he has a job) and he has not changed.

I hope the Archie’s in flyover country remember the insults and see through the coming panderfest.

  7. There should be no "race traitors", nor "sex traitors", in America. We are all Americans.
Tho Whites AND Blacks who vote Dem are pretty silly.
And Women AND Men who vote Dem are pretty silly.

Cause the Dems are bad for all races and both sexes. In practice. Tho in "magic thinking", where unicorns are so easy to find, the Dems have promises of more free stuff.

    1. Eventually. The problem is the insults have to be recognized as such. The people who stay on democrat's plantation no matter their race, color, or creed, just haven't caught on yet.

  9. Archie was used to a bit of danger- wasn't both the character of Archie and Carroll O'Connor in Patton's 3rd?

To me, that sort of thing trumps being a

  12. This political arena has become the vilest and most putrid assortment of people posing as politicians that want to represent the American public. These so-called Representatives of the American public only want to control us, and rule us, representation and service are nowhere to be seen. Didn't we fight a war with England over this? Didn't we fight battles to keep foreign powers from trying to take over? didn't we fight a Civil War over some of these same reasons?
Now, another group of Elite power hungry and greedy entities want to take over, and are using actors and charlatans for their purpose of undermining our freedoms and to make us submit to their whims. So sad, I can hear our fore-fathers crying, wailing, and spinning in their graves at 10,000 rpm...

No one in that agency for a hundred years has been close to predicting an impending earthquake, so why fund it? Plus they're all over paid Democrat "think they know it all's", and don't know s hit anyway.

  16. And eventually, Mike abandoned Gloria and Joey for a co-ed in one of his classes and he got fired for participating in a nude anti-nuclear protest. Archie was right about Meathead all along.

  17. "Over time, Bunker changed his opinions about race and other matters over time. He had an open mind.

Meathead never did. He ignored facts that did not fit his preconceived notions. He was close-minded."

And the actor Rob Reiner is STILL close minded, as are all democrats/leftests/progressives.

They so not let facts, such as empirical evidence of the RESULTS of their policies affect their support of those policies, even when those policies are proven abject failures and a costly waste of taxpayer's money.

Be it "whole word" reading instead of phonics, or the contribution of welfare to the breakup of the black family, empirical evidence of "harm" will NEVER change the progressive's mind on the utility or wisdom of such programs.

They revel in the failure of such programs as long as they can point to them and say, "Well, at least we did the compassionate thing".

To progressives, "feelings" matter more than results.

Which is why I love our President Trump. He is results oriented. Feelings be damned.
