USA recognizes Israel

No, this is not breaking news from 1948.

President Donald John Trump -- who moved our embassy to Jerusalem -- today recognized the Golan Heights is part of Israel, more than 50 years after Arabs lost it in the Six Day War they instigated in 1967. Israel formally annexed this region in 1981.

The president tweeted today, "After 52 years it is time for the United States to fully recognize Israel’s Sovereignty over the Golan Heights, which is of critical strategic and security importance to the State of Israel and Regional Stability!"

This comes 10 days after Barak Ravid of Israel's Channel 13 news reported, "Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's main political opponent Benny Gantz, who is heading the Blue and White party that leads in the polls, thinks President Trump could recognize Israeli sovereignty in the Golan Heights in order to help Netanyahu win the April 9 elections, three Gantz aides told me."

I hope so. Barack Hussein Obama used his presidency to openly campaign against Netanyahu.

But this goes well beyond any petty politics. The USA formally recognizing the Golan Heights is in Israel means that the Arabs are cool with it.

President Trump's close ties to the Saudi government -- which also embraced his Jewish son-in-law -- means the Saudis and the rest of the Gulf states support him.

CNN reported, "Former US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, who served under President Barack Obama, said the move 'raises a lot of concern' and said it is difficult to not see this as an attempt to buttress Netanyahu's chances of remaining prime minister."

I hope Democrats go ahead and oppose recognizing the Golan Heights as part of Israel because that will show again how far from reality Democrats are.

The Daily Mail reported, "A spokesman for Palestinian National Authority President Mahmoud Abbas called that decision 'a continuation of the hostile approach of the American administration toward our Palestinian people.'

"The spokesman said the shift is part of Trump's plan to 'liquidate' the Palestinians' cause."

I hope so because there is no Palestine. Israel replaced it in 1948. The peace process is simple: Arabs in Israel start identifying as Israelis, which they are.

  1. The Palistidiots are mostly Egyptian or Syrian rejects. Their purpose in life is to oppose Israel at all costs. Too bad we got one of the dumb one's in congress.

  7. Glad that Trump is recognizing Israel's claim over Golan.
Glad he moved the embassy to Jerusalem.
That's reality, and it's well past time that the Palestinians start to deal with it.

Yes for a two state solution, tho -- but only with Palestinians who both recognize Israel's existence and its borders, and agree to have peace.
There was no "Palestine" in 1948, nor was there a "South Sudan". There is now.
Too bad the Palestinians, fed lies by Jew-haters about retaking the land, can't yet accept sharing.

Those conditions you state are precisely why the so-called "two-state solution" is no solution at all. The Arab regimes in Yehuda, Shomron and 'Aza have been teaching their people, multigenerationally, that murdering me and my people is an admirable and desirable thing. Their kids imbibe that message from kindergarten, and even earlier. Their raison d'ĂȘtre isn't to set up a state of their own (when 'Aza was Egyptian-occupied territory and Yehuda and Shomron were Jordanian-occupied territory there was no clamoring for a "State of Palestine") -- their raison d'ĂȘtre is to destroy Israel.

  8. Anyone who has any knowledge of the Arabs’ schools cannot deny that they teach the children to hate Jews. Their textbooks are public knowledge for heavens sake!!!

  9. You have to love Pres. Trump's timing. March 21 was the holiday of Purim, commemorating the overturning of Haman's evil plot to destroy, eradicate, kill, obliterate, etc. the Jews from the face of the earth. The story took place in ancient Persia, which is known today as Iran. We celebrate by reading the Book of Esther, "feasting,...sending portions [of food] to one another, and gifts to the poor." In the spirit of the holiday, Pres. Trump sent P.M. Netanyahu a gift.
