The rule in hate crimes is the Smollett's the bigot.
I welcome Jussie Smollett to the Trumpenfreude List.
Calling the president the N-word is not so fun for him now, is it?
Smollett was a typical hip-hop actor celebrity who joined the crowd in jeering President Donald John Trump. What better way to advance one's career in Hollywood than by being part of the pussyhats protesting our president as (checks Hillary's Official List of names to call the opposition) racist, homophobic, Islamophobic, and xenophobic.
Conformity is cool again. Be hip. Be smart. Be self-righteous.
And Smollett was.
He called Orange Man bad as often as possible.
On September 29, 2017, the Washington Blade (which bestows the Good-LGBT Stamp of Approval) reported, "Jussie Smollett, who plays Jamal Lyon on Empire, unloaded his feelings about President Donald Trump’s responses to recent events in an interview with SiriusXM Progress Radio.
"The out actor began by saying he viewed the take a knee NFL protests started by Colin Kaepernick to be a right as an American citizen.
"'He’s a pig, a racist, a horrible human being,' Smollett said. 'To me Colin Kaepernick is very patriotic. He’s doing what he’s supposed to be doing as a citizen of this country. If anything, sadly, the person who was falsely elected to be president of the United States is actually the least patriotic person that we’ve seen in a long time.'"
He blinded me with virtue!
Earlier, on March 16, 2017, NBC reported, "Jussie Smollett Releases Searing Music Video on Trump Administration."
Music video! Take that, you fiend.
And on January 12, 2018, he told the president, via Twitter, "Shut the hell up you bitch ass nigga. You will continue to run this country further into the ground and risk lives every time you breathe. You’re not the president. Just a dumpster full of hate. FOH. Sick to my stomach that literal shit currently represents America to the world."
A tweet!
Why I have not seen a gay actor fight this hard since "Blazing Saddles."
Then on January 29, 2019, Smollett's comeuppance began.
The New York Times reported, "Jussie Smollett, one of the stars of the Fox television show Empire, was attacked in Chicago early Tuesday morning by two people who yelled racial and homophobic slurs and wrapped a rope around his neck, according to the police, who said they were investigating the incident as a possible hate crime.
"Smollett, who is black and publicly came out as gay in 2015, was walking on a downtown street when two people approached him and yelled the slurs, according to a statement from the Chicago Police Department. The attackers then began hitting Smollett in the face and poured an unknown chemical substance on him.
"One of the attackers also wrapped a rope around Smollett’s neck before the duo fled."
The world was sympathetic. Democrat presidential wannabes flooded Twitter to support. President Trump sent an empathetic tweet.
Spartacus Booker called it a Modern Day Lynching. He may be correct because this "lynching" was confined to throwing a loop of clothesline on someone's neck.
The world was convinced but not the Chicago police.
On February 16 (Saturday) came the report, "CNN: Chicago Police Believe Jussie Smollett's Alleged Attack Was 'Orchestrated'; Smollett Denies."
Lefties are angry at him for making them look bad.
And Fox TV is cutting bait on him.
The New York Post reported, "Scenes featuring Jussie Smollett on the hit TV show Empire have been drastically cut amid the whirlwind of controversy surrounding his alleged hate attack, according to a report Tuesday.
"The actor, who plays gay singer-songwriter Jamal Lyon on the show, was supposed to have nine scenes and a big musical performance in the second-to-last episode of Season 5, production sources told TMZ.
"But five scenes and the musical number have been axed.
"Smollett’s character is also no longer the focus of his remaining four scenes, which will now feature an ensemble of characters."
Trumpenfreude.
The bourbon of politics.
The Pappy Van Winkle, for sure!
ReplyDeleteJuicy the Fruit can continue his act for the fine folks in our federal penal system. Then again, that may constitute cruel and unusual punishment.
ReplyDeleteKavanaugh, Covington, Smollett - is there a pattern emerging here?
ReplyDeleteWhat timing, a rope and a new anti-lynching law sponsored by who? Ta-da, Spartacus and Kamilla. Funny that, huh?
ReplyDelete"He who Smollett, dealt it." -- Scott Adams
ReplyDeleteMaybe Smollett can get away with it by claiming it was actually "street art" with him and the other two guys just playing parts. And since it was a performance, they weren't really breaking any laws.
ReplyDeleteKinda like porn flicks aren't prosecuted as prostitution.
Its sad when stupid people try to commit elaborate crimes. The police said they immediately smelled a rat when Smollet took them to the scene of the crime and then pointed to a security camera across the street and declaring it should give a pretty good accounting of the whole event. The only problem was it was pointed away from where this "beating" took place. Police said his reaction to that news was a mixture of confusion and dismay. They then asked allowed access to his phone to determine precisely when he was speaking to his manager so they could better bracket the time of the "attack". Jussie refused because he would be without his phone for 3 hours. He would however provide a redacted phone record (to protect the identities of people not related to the crime) Ah huh....right....
ReplyDeleteJussie Smollett, AN AMERICAN, SCAMMED TWO NIGERIANS!!! This is MAXIMUM MAGA! TRUMP is right to hold up American excellence! to the world! Winning. NOT TIRED OF WINNING. And on a side note, all three agree that things went so well in rehearsal.
ReplyDeleteNever heard of this nobody before his fake attack. It figure ms he used vile attacks on PDJT to try and gain attention. Now, he has all the attention he can handle. And it ain’t good for him. But it is Trumpenfreude for us!!!
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying every minute of this story especially the reactions of certain politicians and a female WA PO so called journalists and oh so many other silly people.
ReplyDeleteTruth is a bitch huh?
Kate
Jussie wore the noose all the way to the hospital instead of just taking it off. In fairness, he was probably busy eating his sub.
ReplyDeleteHis two personal friends, Corey Booker and Kamala Harris, who are running for president and trying to pass a federal anti-lynching law, instantly tweeted in unison "this is an attempted modern-day lynching!". Weird, huh?
Why, its almost like--what's the word--"collusion". No wonder they look as nervous as Wolf Blitzer at a Jeopardy try-out.
Amazing! And the anti-lynching bill also has LGBT protection stuff in it too. What are the odds this very same crime happened to a celebrity (not a nobody), who is not only black but also gay? It's amazing!
DeleteI love the Babylon Bee.
ReplyDeleteSpot on! The Bee is so close to the real FakeNews media that it's hard to tell it's satire!
