Making MAGA great

President Donald John Trump stood before Democrat congresswomen who dressed in white to protest his very existence and got them to stand up and cheer him last night.

For the first time since the Miracle on Ice in the 1980 Olympics, Democrats chanted USA! USA! USA!

That is how good his State of the Union speech was last night. Afterward, the Resistance left muttering, "He broke me."

President Trump did so in a speech that was conciliatory without giving the communists in cream coats an inch.

This was a speech in which the president burned Bernie Sanders and the core of Democrat policies.

"We stand with the Venezuelan people in their noble quest for freedom — and we condemn the brutality of the Maduro regime, whose socialist policies have turned that nation from being the wealthiest in South America into a state of abject poverty and despair," the president said.

"Here, in the United States, we are alarmed by new calls to adopt socialism in our country.

"America was founded on liberty and independence — not government coercion, domination and control.

"We are BORN FREE, and we will STAY FREE.

"Tonight, we renew our resolve that America will NEVER be a socialist country."

How did he do that? How did an anti-communist president get the wannabe communists to cheer America?

The same way that hockey team at Lake Placid defeated that Soviet Union team. He used hard work, planning, and talent.

His was a show-not-say speech. He did not just say America was great, he showed it. He brought to life World War II by acknowledging three men in their 90s who stormed Normandy on D-Day. He also saluted Buzz Aldrin whose 50th anniversary of walking on the moon is later this year.

Presidents have used people in the gallery to sell their programs before. President Trump did that too. A childhood cancer survivor made his point about eradicating that.

But then he brought out Judah Samet, a survivor of the shooting at the synagogue in Pittsburgh. He had also survived the Holocaust.

"Today is Judah’s 81st birthday," the president said.

Unexpectedly, Congress sang "Happy Birthday" to Judah Samet.

But wait, there was more. After recounting Mister Samet's extraordinary life, President Trump brought out a second Holocaust survivor, Joshua Kaufman.

The president said, "I began this evening by honoring three soldiers who fought on D-Day in the Second World War. One of them was Herman Zeitchick.

"But there is more to Herman’s story. A year after he stormed the Beaches of Normandy, Herman was one of those American Soldiers who helped liberate Dachau. He was one of the Americans who helped rescue Joshua from that hell on earth.

"Almost 75 years later, Herman and Joshua are both together in the gallery tonight – seated side-by-side, here in the home of American Freedom. Herman and Joshua: your presence this evening honors and uplifts our entire nation."

Actions speak louder than words. Presidents have praised the sacrifices and success of D-Day for nearly 75 years.

Last night, President Trump showed in flesh and blood why D-Day was so important. It was as if FDR on the brink of the 75th anniversary of Gettysburg in 1938 brought a slave and a Union soldier to his State of the Union speech.

President Trump gave Americans a reason to stand up and cheer their nation.

Even Democrats.

In 2018, they stoically refused to applaud anything in his speech even when he noted Democrats were doing well.

This year, be broke that wall of their resistance like it was Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin on Election Day. It happened earlier in the speech.

"So let’s work together, compromise, and reach a deal that will truly make America safe. As we work to defend our people’s safety, we must also ensure our economic resurgence continues at a rapid pace. No one has benefited more from our thriving economy than women, who have filled 58% of the newly created jobs last year," President Trump said.

The Women In White stood and cheered.

"You weren’t supposed to do that. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. All Americans can be proud that we have more women in the workforce than ever before," President Trump said.

"Don’t sit yet. You are going to like this. And exactly one century after Congress passed the constitutional amendment giving women the right to vote, we also have more women serving in the Congress than at any time before."

Then they really celebrated and shouted USA! USA! USA!

At that point, the president made it cool to want to Make America Great Again.

That scene told the tale of the night. He made those congresswomen feel good about themselves and about their country.

Nancy saw this all from her perch. She knows it is morning in America again. President Trump in 2019 is now where President Reagan was in 1983.

President Hate-your-political-opponents-more-than-countries-that-call-for-our-death and President Diddle-your-inturn did not do that.

  3. Trump is truly a remarkable man. He may or may not be a believer, I don't know, but he most certainly is an answer to prayer. The Lord uses even unbelievers to work His will. See: Nebuchadnezzar, Cyrus. Even Pilate. Even Judas.

I hope, like Nebuchadnezzar, Trump ends up embracing the Lord.

    1. You define yourself.

What means free will, if not this?

Be as you choose to be, always.

Choose to be according to what is not merely not always but, not much at all.

      Or

Choose to be as what is always and of a nature yet to be experienced as always.

      You choose.

      Free will.

      Enjoy it while it lasts.

  4. I find it interesting that aoc believes Trump to be "unprepared." She is so unprepared that rumor has it that boston university buried her school records beside obama's so no one can prove she attended let alone graduated.

  5. This is a nice warm view of what was undoubtedly a PR triumph for the president. But he is not going to get wall finding from Pelosi. It is what he does about this wall he promised that will determine political success for him. The Dems may offer security compromises but nothing of any significance for him or the country. Their base of rich donors, who live behind very high walls, as Trump so perfectly labeled them, and the SJW academic power media, who begrudge him every O² molecule he breaths, will accept 'nothing less', to echo Major Strasser. Even before this speech the R in the senate were building their own wall to fence DT into Pelosi's pasture. To them he is still a narrowly elected President whose great achievements they find hard to reconcile with the needs of their imperious donors, almost all of whom would prefer to be dealing with the Clinton drive-through pay for play. These donors want to be treated like Emperor Beezlebub who just successfully bribed the entire Democrat party of NY to get billions in tax breaks for himself. That is Their idea of Greatness. He is still very much alone in DC and will probably stay that way, not unlike most of the great Presidents before him.

    1. Nancy Pelosi and the National Socialist Democrats of America Party showed just how demented and irrelevant they are last night. They looked like a cult and acted like temper tantrum throwing three year olds.

Trump doesn't need Nancy and the white clad (G_d, that was creepy!) Bund Deutscher Madel nor Chuckles "The Penguin" Schumer and he's all done playing nice with them. He doesn't need the Enemedia nor the likes of stompy footed, pouty, TruCon, Ann "Attention Whore" Coulter, either. They're all beyond the Pale now and the only direction for the lot of them is down. Some will be going down to Gitmo now that the last prison barge has made it there. They're ready to open up for business.

  7. Ann Coulter is off her meds. Being so pure, sanctimonious and shrill is not a way to gain friends and influence enemies. Have tuned her out - so much vitriol I don't need to go there.

  10. "We are BORN FREE, and we will STAY FREE" Right. He has done nothing to rid us of the fascist administrative tyranny that FDR and Nixon put in place. Nothing.

We live under arbitrary political law not the common law and natural law that created America.

We, the people all, determine America.

YOU, apparently, merely stuff your pie hole with the provided by American Freedom edibles, and shit your panties as your pastime.

Yes they have and as an aside it was a masterful 'kick to the curb' that he engineered on the infanticide crowd as the young cancer survivor has not only displayed compassion and determination, including a set of marketing skills beyond her years, but is still young enough to reflect back upon those who have no compunction about murdering America's future brain trust at any stage of development in the name of a woman's right to choose.

    Very well played Mr President!

  13. It is interesting to note that it would appear that there was (there HAD to have been) an enormous amount of work identifying, locating, preparing, and transporting the people who the President presented during his speech, and to the best of MY knowledge, not a dribble of a leak about any of them, not even in the "we expect the President" gloss kill attempts.

  15. Good analysis of a great speech.

But the Dem media continue to lie and spin against Trump, in a way far worse than their lies and spin against Reagan. The angry Dems are even more angry at Trump than they were against Reagan, and most Reps were pulling more for The Gipper than GOPe pull for Trump.

    Still, Trump facts are great.
Lowest unemployment for blacks, lowest unemployment for women, lowest unemployment for men for 50 years.

Trump means jobs -- and jobs give men dignity and self-respect.
