Democrat who demanded Northam resign wore blackface, too

The top three Democrats in Virginia (the Not West Virginia one) are Blackface, Rapey, and Blackface II as the Party of Jefferson Davis continues to drop its mask of decency.

Fox News reported, "Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring admitted to wearing blackface during a college party in 1980, the latest stunning, political bombshell to rock Richmond as the state’s embattled governor and lieutenant governor also find themselves embroiled in scandal."

Hahaha.

Herring admitted it.

He said, "In 1980, when I was a 19-year-old undergraduate in college, some friends suggested we attend a party dressed like rappers we listened to at the time, like Kurtis Blow, and perform a song.

"It sounds ridiculous even now writing it. But because of our ignorance and glib attitudes – and because we did not have an appreciation for the experiences and perspectives of others – we dressed up and put on wigs and brown makeup."

It sounds ridiculous because it is ridiculous. It was 1980, not 1880.

Now for the topper: Herring was among the first to demand that Northam resign as governor because he wore blackface.

He said, "It is no longer possible for Governor Northam to lead our Commonwealth and it is time for him to step down.

Hahaha.

And he supported having Rapey take the office, saying, "I have spoken with Lieutenant Governor Fairfax and assured him that, should he ascend to the governorship, he will have my complete support and and commitment to ensuring his success and the success of our Commonwealth."

Well, of course Herring wanted the resignation. He is next in line for governor if Governor Coon Man (his college nickname) and Lieutenant Governor Sexual Assault both resign.

Three Democrats. Three losers.

Next in line for succession as governor is Republican Speaker of the House of Delegates Kirk Cox.

After that, the House picks someone else, but surely a Republican would be cleaner than these three bums.

But if necessary, West Virginia (the Best Virginia) will gladly give Virginia its governor, Democrat Jim Justice (who "flipped" parties to Republican after the election; most Republicans had voted against him).

Just as a caution, Justice does not pay his taxes.

Meanwhile, I fully expect -- nay, demand -- that the Richmond Times-Dispatch call for Herring's resignation. After all, it demanded one of Northam within two hours of his blackface story breaking on Friday.

Remember?

"The revelation of a photo from his medical school yearbook page, showing a man in blackface standing next to someone dressed in Ku Klux Klan robes, that injures his standing and reputation beyond repair. We all act foolishly in our youth. But a college graduate, studying to be a physician, in a state with Virginia’s troubled racial history, should know better than to reduce that history to a callous joke. The photograph reveals a lack of adult judgment that is disturbing. It does not erase Northam’s service in the military or his compassion as a physician. It does, however, strongly suggest that he should, for the good of Virginia, step down from its highest office and allow Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax to succeed him," the editorial said.

Injures his reputation beyond repair.

Hahaha.

The self-righteous editorial injured the reputation of the newspaper and its employees.

This happens when you ignore the 24 Hour Rule and virtue signal without thinking.

After the last election, Democrats celebrated Virginia becoming a blue state.

Well, if you are into blackface and rape, I suppose that is a good thing.

Oh, and infanticide. Democrats now support killing babies upon birth.

Now their political futures may be aborted.

This has been a fun day in politics.

  1. I'm not sure if this fits into a political round hole anymore, in this day and age of media frenzy. But FWIW, a friend just put this up in a fb group I'm in. I had never seen this bit by Carlin, and was laughing out loud by the end. Somewhat tragically, because it was so true, and so sad.

  2. I read that 4th in line is Speaker of the VA House of Delegates -- a Republican.
Wouldn't that just be the cat's pajamas!

  3. My bet is that Northam leaked it. Since the only guy in the succession who did not wear blackface is a Republican, Northam saved his job with the leak.

Relatedly, I know I am of the Caucasion persuasion but the blackface was not what was offensive in the Northam photo -- it was the KKK robe. I have laughed at too many white guys in black face -- Billy Crystal as Sammy Davis Jr. leaps to mind -- without thinking about it as a racial thing -- to be much bothered by the blackface thing.

KKK on the other hand. . . .

    1. If black is so beautiful, why no sharing of it?

Or, rather, why only the sharing of bbc, and only approved by the bbc?

Seems the racist propensity is dominating the complaining race?

    3. And Gene Wilder in Silver Streak. SNL connection Gilda Radner. They are who they accuse others of being.

  4. As read elsewhere, West Virginia asks to be called East Kentucky saying "It's embarrassing to be associated with them."

  10. One Alinsky rule is to force the opposition to abide by their standards that they apply to others.

From the race issue to the believe all accusations to women, force it them to swallow. Make them gag on their own standards for Republicans.

Moreover, do not let up. Demand active change in Virginia's government.

In other words, hoist them on their own petard!

  11. Rule 4 - Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.

Rule 5 - Ridicule is man's most potent weapon

Rule 8 - Keep the pressure on.

Rule 10 - The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition

Rule 11 - If you push a negative hard and deep enough it will break through into its counter-side.

Rule 13 - Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.

Problem is Republicans nationwide are generally weak and believe they are too good for such things.

Trump is showing the way to fight back.

  12. And, yes, it has taken a not long ago registered New York Democrat to give Republicans a friggin' spine!

  13. Should I remain as governor? Or should it be Justin? Or the Attorney General? The Republican Speaker?

I know one way we can settle this: a Call-Out Dance Contest!

That's how the people of my community settle these things.

  15. Ok, now we understand the priorities: killing babies good, wearing black face bad. Ummm.. can you kill a baby while wearing black face? I'm getting confused.
