Trump gets China to buy rice

Always be closing.

Pro Ag News reported, Red "China is buying U.S. rice for the first time. The South China Morning Post reported Chinese customs officials cleared American rice for import."

But the experts in Washington all said the trade war would kill the American economy.

Suddenly Red China is willing to cut deals because it fears losing access to the American market.

Plus, Red China needs food.

"The news comes as leaders from both China and the U.S. will get together for trade negotiations in January. The two sides began a temporary cease-fire in December by agreeing to postpone any tariff increases for 90 days while they try to negotiate a settlement," Pro Ag News reported.

"After a six-month lull, China had recently begun purchasing U.S. soybeans again, so there is some optimism as the negotiations draw near."

Red China had held up rice purchases by using health inspections as an excuse.

The South China Morning Post reported that ended last Friday.

The newspaper said, "The customs announcement is the latest step for Beijing towards opening its markets since Chinese President Xi Jinping and his American counterpart Donald Trump met on December 1 and agreed to a 90-day period to work towards a trade deal. Part of that agreement was that China would buy more US agricultural produce.

"China has since then bought more than 1.5 million tonnes of soybeans and resumed buying liquefied gas.

"The US keeps a long list of complaints against China on intellectual property, forced technology transfers and industrial subsidies. Trump said China used unfair trade practices, which led to a trade deficit that he promised to cut."

For his next trick, President Trump will sell ice to Eskimos.

  1. Imagine what PDJT could accomplish if the opposition/deep state didn't eff him around non stop.
If the President didn't have to expend so much capital fighting off these yahoos then the sky could conceivably be the limit.

  2. Well, I believe they went after Bush just as bad but he never fought back. The difference is the fighting back. We aren't used to it and neither is the MSM and the DNC. There's gotta be another shoe to drop soon. The Trumpster always has an ace up his sleeve. How many times have they cornered him and he always slips away. Something is coming and it will probably be big.

  3. "U.S. rice futures had little reaction to the announcement, declining by 7 cents to $10.06 per cwt." Ha! Once again, don't believe the hype.

  4. China needs a lot of what we have. PDJT knew it. The blowhards in Washington thought the opposite. MAGA.

  5. What i want to know is when he sells manure to cows.
Like the ones in the Chick-Fil-A® adverts.

  6. China needs us FAR more than we need them. All it takes is some hardball.

    1. Quite so. They need our markets more than we need their cheap products. But in all fairness, China suffered a typhoon just as their rice crop was due to be harvested so they had little choice but to buy rice and soybeans from anyone who had it to sell.

    2. Surprised that DJT wasn't blamed for the typhoon.

Putin claimed to control the weather and proved it for the Olympics... if Russia can do it then the US can do it better?

  7. The mainstream media is finally starting to run the article about the Trump supporter college student who got kicked out of medical school at the University of Virginia for publicly debating with a far-left SJW communist professor. Here are two new ones:

Someone also took the time to type up a transcript of the events which happened:

Reddit is freaking out about the story too, of course. 1000s of comments on these threads:

This story, known as MedGate, has the potential to create a mass public outcry against our far left college system, and thus cause real damage to the student debt loan bubble.

  8. This time, Xi is in the car, and Trump is on the drive-thru's microphone.

    "And then? ... AND THEN?"

  9. If you are exporting food and your opponent is sending back cheap manufactured goods, who has the advantage?

  10. I STILL ain’t gettin tired of this winnin, Mr. T!

  11. Tell me Michael, how can a billion Chinese be wrong?
