They already have amnesty

Ann Coulter is in high dudgeon, as are all the Democrats, which means President Donald John Trump is on the right path.

President Trump made Democrats an offer they can refuse.

In exchange for a few more miles of a border wall, President Trump agreed to amnesty for about a million illegal aliens, those whose sympathy stories are worthy of the Amana washer on "Queen for a Day."

This is the same offer he made in September 2017 when Coulter freaked out.

The problem with conservatives is we already have open borders and have had them all along.

Democrats have no incentive to negotiate, and they won't.

Axios reported, "Even before President Trump's shutdown remarks on Saturday, Democrats and aides on the Hill were dismissing his planned shutdown compromise offer as inadequate.

"As first reported by Axios, Trump was expected to make two offers to Democrats in exchange for $5.7 billion in funds for a border wall: Extend DACA protections for Dreamers, who were brought to the U.S. illegally as children, and extend the legal status of Temporary Protected Status holders. Half an hour before the speech, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said in a statement:

"'Unfortunately, initial reports make clear that his proposal is a compilation of several previously rejected initiatives, each of which is unacceptable and in total, do not represent a good faith effort to restore certainty to people's lives.'"

Democrats believe they can wait out President Trump. They want to preserve open borders, which they have thanks to sanctuary cities and the like. Closing the border is a Herculean task.

Open borders are a trough that feed too many pigs.

There are those in the meat-packing and construction industries who want cheap labor that doesn't file for worker's compensation. This exploitation of workers deserves labor's denunciation, not support.

There is the illegal drug industry that flourishes because of American hypocrisy. We have tough drug laws, sure, but we are not serious in their enforcement.

There is the human trafficking industry. In history class, we learned of the middle passage across the Atlantic as slavers transported slaves from Africa to the Americas.

Of course, this is not slavery, but the sexual exploitation of women and children along the way makes this just as immoral.

There is the effort to Mexicanize America. Supporters of illegal aliens want to turn the USA into a third-world socialist state.

They are succeeding. All those Dreamers and DACA illegals already have de facto amnesty.

But the situation is far from hopeless. President Trump is negotiating and his offer to give Democrats what they already have is brilliant because their refusal to accept this offer makes them look obstinate.

Democrats do not want amnesty. They want Donald Trump dead, his family ruined, and his buildings razed if only to ward off anyone else daring to run.

Have faith. As Margaret Thatcher said, “If it is once again one against forty-eight, then I am very sorry for the forty-eight.”
