Never Trump hate explained

Rush Limbaugh made a point about Never Trumpers yesterday. It is one that I have made several times and perhaps he has too.

They resent President Donald John Trump.

"These are people, the conservative intelligentsia, the conservative Never Trumpers, the conservative intellectuals, they have devoted their lives ostensibly to the implementation of conservative ideas because of their importance, because they work, because they’re good for America," Limbaugh said.

"And here for the most part they are watching the things they’ve devoted their lives to be implemented, and they hate it! And they’re opposing it! And they’re trying to stop it! And it doesn’t make any sense."

You can read the whole commentary here.

Of course the hate doesn’t make any sense. It is emotional. Emotions make no sense.

Donald Trump is used to resentment. Upper Manhattan has resented him since he came in from Long Island (where he was raised) with that outer borough accent and saved Manhattan.

Steve Cuozzo of the New York Post wrote of this on February 7, 2016.

"Trump waded into a landscape of empty Fifth Avenue storefronts, the dust-bowl mugging ground that was Central Park and a Wall Street area seemingly on its last legs as companies moved out," Cuozzo wrote

"Except in Battery Park City, which was then as remote as an offshore island, few other developers built anything but plain-vanilla office and apartment buildings. Trump — almost by force of will — rode to the rescue. Expressing rare faith in the future, he was instrumental in kick-starting the regeneration of neighborhoods and landmarks almost given up for dead."

Upper Manhattan hates him because of his success. And many of the Never Trumpers are from Upper Manhattan.

Their wrath is rooted in Donald Trump's rescue of their isle.

Their opposition today reflects the conservative judges he appointed, the regulations he rolled back, the tax cuts he willed, the embassy he moved to Jerusalem, and the rally against an anti-American press he led.

They wanted to do this. Waah. It's not fair.

Or rather they said they wanted. Bill Kristol, John Podhoretz, and others are sons of famous conservatives who live off that legacy. How committed to conservatism they are deserves questioning as the third anniversary of the Against Trump issue of National Review nears.

Their hate is an example of why wrath is a deadly sin.

The New World Encyclopedia describes it as, "Inappropriate (unrighteous) feelings of hatred and anger. Denial of the truth to others or self. Impatience or revenge outside of justice. Wishing to do evil or harm to others. Self-righteousness. Wrath is the root of murder and assault. Dante described wrath as 'love of justice perverted to revenge and spite.'"

There is a lot of that wrath going on in politics.

  1. More projection from those who hate the most admired man in the country, Barack Obama.

The success narrative for Don The John Trump might work for network Re-Al-I-Tee Tee-Vee. Successful businessmen don't need oligarch money to bail out their debt.

Dunning kruger explains the cult of junior stable geniuses who know nothing about business, but believe the head of a hereditary money laundering scam is their savior.

    1. Democrat Plantation teaches that hate is love, corruption is compassion, sex predators are dreamy, fascists are anti-fascists, KKK don't exist anymore and aren't really Democrats, and what difference, at this point, does it make?

    2. The only admired thing about the obamanation is it's claim to being the last straw Americans needed to throw off the burden of the obama bum brigades.

The bonus of the democrats, in flacid desperation, are schlonged into being precisely and publically their nasty selves.

C'mon, obamanites, you know you adore the scent of your own shit!!!!!

And you goofs scream your shit at full volume these days, all because of MAGA.

      It is fucking hilarious.

      The obama, most admired?

      Well, turds do stick together.

  2. And our Democrat-turned-Republican Governor Justice announced today that West Virginia has collected a record tax surplus. Whatever the NeverTrumpers' problems are, most of us Deplorables are delighted with President Trump. - Elric

  3. Laughable comment by one deluded by the left. Barack Obama is a charlatan - a money-grubbing, affirmative action grifting, opportunist who stole from us and laughed (vacationed and played golf) all the way to the bank.
His jumbled, convoluted and worthless do-nothing legacy speaks for itself.
    Enjoy the next 6 years.

    1. True. Moral authority is sacred, and politicians need to wrap themselves ceremoniously in imagery that suggests they themselves are sacred as well.

The less sacred they actually are, the more they have to pretend.

It certainly worked on Evan Thomas, who explained that Obama was "like a god."

It was trendy when I was in history classes to snicker at the notion of "the divine right of kings," the Christian idea that the Lord appointed our heads of state according to His will.

So what's less presumptuous? The idea that God placed Obama in the White House, or the idea that Obama is God?

  5. Yes, they hate and are full of envy. Envy is the desire for equality thru bad things happening to the one who seems more successful than you.

America was built on success, and the dream...
    of being more successful.

  6. Lust for power.

Greed, for wealth, gotten by any means.

    Vanity, of self bestowed superiority.

Gluttony, as the hogs they are.

Envy, of what they are impotent.

Sloth, lazy fucks abhor honest work.

Wrath, self driven to absurdities most shamefull.

    Yep.

The conceited elite make the retarded, preening self rightous youngsters look tame, quite pitiful in their sincere ignorance of their childhood fantasies clung to well into non achieved adulthoods.

The nature of the Design and the nature of the human creature are the same.

To deny the nature of the human creature is to deny the nature of the Design.

And the Design don't play that game.

  7. It is a devastating commentary on the GOP that it took a not long ago New York registered Democrat to out Republican and out conservative Republicans and conservatives.

While the House was stacked against Republicans, it was made worse by supposed conservatives retiring due to their irrational and truly bizarre hate for Trump.

I guess it's human nature. Those that do are resented by those that say they do, but never produce.

  8. Key line — “they said they wanted”. Just like the liberals, the fake conservatives love to talk solutions to problems. But if the problem is ever fixes, they run out of Things to talk about and issues to rake in the $$$$$.

They are insanely angry that this tube is doing what he said he’d do.

  9. The "Never Trumpers" are conservative in name only. In reality the Neocons are Trotskyites who love perpetual war. They have managed to fool a large portion of the American public by adding the word "conservative" to their name.
