On NBC today, the hostess asked her about the Mueller investigation and whether she will push to impeach President Donald John Trump, and even indict him and lock him up.
“We have to wait and see what happens with the Mueller report. We shouldn't be impeaching for a political reason, and we shouldn't avoid impeachment for a political reason. So we'll just have to see how it comes,” she said.
An impeachment is a political action. There are no two ways about it. And she is counting on 20 Republican senators being turncoats.
Maybe they think they have the votes.
But after two years of this nonsense investigation they have nothing on President Trump at all. His supporters know this. An impeachment may unleash a rage from the American people that would scare Washington into submission.
As Mitt Romney learned in the last 24 hours, Republicans Against Trump are not welcome in Washington, even by their nieces.
The Mueller investigation so far has shown us:
- Obama spied on President Trump.
- Obama stopped any indictment of Hillary.
- Comey destroyed evidence of Hillary's server crimes.
- Podesta, Manafort, and other politicos make money in foreign elections.
- The Kremlin made up opposition research for Hillary.
- The FBI has way too much power.
But Democrats want to impeach President Trump in the belief that they can destroy him like Nixon. This would make Pence his Ford and their next nominee would be a Jimmy Carter.
They have the best laid plans, don't they?
Just like hoping for a Donald Trump nomination would turn the 2016 election into a victory for Hillary.
It did not work that way. They want a do-over.
But President Trump is bigger than them. He will prevail. I think they know that. And really, if Democrats are smart, they would settle down and work with him on getting the nation's problems fixed.
Pelosi has a golden opportunity again. She will blow it just as she did in 2007 when she refused to work with Bush.
Alice Cooper offered sage advice: "I want my shows to take you as far away as possible from politics. It’s supposed to be an escape from the world we’re living in. And you know the next president is going to be worse than Trump, right?"
That president will be elected by the people who brought you Donald John Trump. We are going to keep doing this until we take our country out of the clutches of Washington.
This should be an interesting two years. The democrats so far have demonstrated that they do not want borders, they advocate spending money on climate change, free medical, free college tuition and reparations. Add in impeachment and we'll see what happens in 2020.
ReplyDeleteI am also an advocate of keeping the government shut down. President Trump should up the anti by $1 billion additional for each day they fail to pass a budget including the wall. $5 billion today, $6 billion tomorrow, $7 billion....
I agree Jim!
DeleteAnte, not anti.
DeleteAdam Schiff can start rifling off subpoenas.
ReplyDeleteWhy would anyone work for this sinking ship White House? You'll need a lawyer to interview for the many vacancies. Imagine working there.
It will be fun to see the worms twist. Can't wait to see what Deutchebank turned over to Mueller.
The tears of the Trumpsters will be the sweetest. And they will cry.
Nony, we’d take you more seriously if you knew how to spell Dooshbank.
Delete2A is perfect for this situation.
DeleteBill Clinton was elected 1992. His first two years were not exactly an overwhelming success and Hillary's efforts at healthcare reform were a disaster.
DeleteIn 1994 the GOP (led by Newt Gingrich) was ascendant. They took control of the House for the first time since the invention of sliced bread. They passed bills on term limits and the line-item veto.
And they began opening investigations of the Clintons. Lots of them. They took down several people close to Bill and Hill.
Eventually they impeached Bill Clinton for lying under oath about schtupping Monica Lewinsky.
Bill Clinton's approval ratings went up during the impeachment process. When the smoke cleared, Newt was gone. So was his replacement. Meanwhile, BC served two full terms and remained popular with voters for years afterwards.
If the Democrats want to repeat the mistakes of the Gingrich Republicans, I wish them godspeed.
Why wouldn't the Trump administration just ignore subpoenas, like the Obama administration?
DeleteLol, let me know how that works out for you.
DeleteShould work just great. What are they going to do if Trump ignores them, shutdown the government?
DeleteJust who exactly is going to enforce subpoenas against the President? Once they pull the impeachment trigger the threat will be known as the paper tiger it has become. Then the President can use his pen and phone.
DeleteGoing to be a very long Cold day in a very Hot place before they ever succeed in removing Trump from office. And Oh well, we get Pence. I'm OK with Pence. Then Pence will get himself a VP who is very conservative and we are right where we started from. Democrats are way too stupid to understand it!
DeleteIt's Democrats vs The People.
ReplyDeleteSame as it's always been. Sigh.
DeleteThe Demos impeached Nixon, but forget Willie.
ReplyDeleteThis sort of thing always cuts both ways.
Frankly, I think all the impeachment talk is for the rubes. It gets them nothing but more gridlock. You wreck the economy and think people will love you? You increase taxes and think the public is going to vote for you?
Lotsa luck.
Nixon was not impeached.
DeleteNixon wasn't impeached.
Delete-Mikey NTH
Nixon resigned before he could be impeached. The GOPe abandoned him.
Delete"You wreck the economy and think people will love you? You increase taxes and think the public is going to vote for you?"
DeleteWorks in mexifornia.
Nixon resigned because he knew he would be convicted if impeached. The case was open & close, with Dick providing the evidence to bring him down.
DeleteClinton did commit perjury, but I'm still trying to figure out how questions about his sex life had anything to do with Whitewater or a then-concurrent rape trial.
Pelosi will be lucky to get enough votes to pass articles of impeachment; forget enough votes to convicts in the Senate.
Between this, Occasional-Cortex, and Rashida Tlaib, I'm just popping more popcorn. Let the beclowning begin!
But, but...Stretch will cut off our heads and we won’t even know we’re bleeding!
ReplyDeleteNancy Pelosi can’t cut a piece of toast at this point. Old. Old old old. Keep hyping AOC and Beto, say I. Joe Mama Biden is gonna be the LibCommie nominee, and groping of females will be cool again in The Swamp.
That's Indonesia before jokowi era. we always thought that all the people who want to be president just want some power. So we use democracy to make sure the worst not choosen as president. When someone like jokowi come, we use democracy to make sure he was elected
ReplyDeletei hope your next pres is someone who think about their people
The thing about impeachment is that you better get it right and that means getting enough senators willing to convict. I bet Pelosi is thinking about how well that played out for the Republican House leadership when they did Clinton and that she will not move on this unless the case is bulletproof no matter what the media and the idiots in her own caucus want.
ReplyDeleteIf she does otherwise then I think she will kiss her speakership good-bye again.

“When you strike at a king, you must kill him.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson
DeleteThis rule applies to impeachment too. If you go after a POTUS you have to take him down or you will pay the price for failure.
Just ask Newt Gingrich.
For the record, Obama knew as sitting President. He effin knew!
ReplyDeleteHe, along with many other modern presidents, recieve intel briefs, daily or otherwise directed.
In some of these briefs, Genereal Flynn's and Trump's names were unmasked to "give context."
This is public record.
Now, how did those names come to be encountered by our government?
Yep, FISA warrants based off of the still unverified Russiann Pee Dosisier commissioned by the DNC and Hillary's campaign and distributed to like minded people in both parties including John McCain Rubio.
Looks like they want a civil war to me. They really don't want that. They and their families would be top targets.
ReplyDeleteThe Left says we on the Right are dangerous people if only because we have most of the guns. Yet they keep poking us with sticks just to see how far they can get before we snap.
DeleteWater the Tree.........
ReplyDeleteIt does seem that the time approaches.
DeleteDon;
ReplyDeleteWe should have a daily reminder of how many days DJT has been President just to tweak the Impeach! Impeach! Impeach! Lefties. Especially one who posts here who shall remain anonymous.
President Trump administration day #714. The running count is available at theconservativetreehouse.com
DeleteGOD, bless Don Surber and Sundance, two astute bloggers who fear you only.
I wrote a very small spreadsheet to calculate the number of days left in this administration (jan 20, 2021). Today is 747 days left!
DeleteIf Trump were found guilty by the Senate, (impeachment is a bill of particulars presented by the House to the Senate, the Chief Justice presides and the Senate it the jury) and removed there will such a sh!tstorm of angry and perhaps armed people across the country. We will not let them take away our elected President.
ReplyDeleteThe GOP held off impeaching Obama for that very same reason. The Left makes the mistake of thinking that Whites would just sit and take it. They're incorrect.
Does the 2A come in size .223 ?
ReplyDeleteI have good news! The 2A comes in many such sizes, suitable for any problem it was designed to address. Some might even call this ‘strength through diversity’.
DeleteI believe it comes in all calibers.
Delete"We shouldn't be impeaching for a political reason, and we shouldn't avoid impeachment for a political reason."
ReplyDeleteROFLMAO!!
If they believed that the "investigation would have ended 1 year-and-a-half ago!
With the media egging them on, I hope they overplay their hand.
ReplyDeleteThe Senate was the Prize. It ain't going anywhere.
ReplyDeleteTime to water the Tree Of Liberty. With the blood of Tyrants, and Patriots and Traitors...Cuomo the YankeeCommie should get a horse's head for his bed...
ReplyDeleteBig D, there will always be an empty room waiting for you and Lou Ann in Hedgesville if the shit goes down. Closer to the action, doncha know!
ReplyDelete"An impeachment may unleash a rage from the American people that would scare Washington into submission."
ReplyDeleteSorry, but you've already lost your country and your freedom, and nothing you do in a voting booth is going to change that. Nor will you be protected by the courts. You lost it when the Congress and Lyndon Johnson passed the 1965 "Immigration Reform Act." The white "Silent Majority" you count on to be enraged either no longer exists or soon won't exist. The new colonists are going to vote anti-white, they really don't care about actual conditions (unless those conditions become starvation level serious). That's why Trump made no headway with "highest level of black and Hispanic employment ever!" 80+% of Koreans, those wonderful productive Asian immigrants so beloved by materialistic conservatives, voted for Hillary. The new migrants will vote far left and the left in power will rape the First and Second Amendments. This is precisely why the left is running wild now days, they no longer have to fear a political backlash because the non-white, anti-white vote has reached a pivotal level. You believed in fairy tales, that the Constitution and American magic dirt would trump human nature and the lessons of history. You foolishly gave away your territory and now you're a slave, get used to it. You won't revolt.
Which 17 GOPe Senators are willing to give away the Senate majority for decades?
