Democrat capitulation begins

On Saturday, I informed readers that "The opposition is about to crumble" on expanding the wall along our southern border. That post cited MSNBC imbecile Donny Deutsch, but an earlier post cited Democrat Congresswoman Katie Hill doing a 180 on the wall.

To the consternation of the complacent press, a dozen or so Democrats already are tired of the shutdown.

Breitbart News counted as capitulating Democrat Congressmen Colin Allred, Ami Bera, Cheri Bustos, Katherine Clark, Jared Golden, Jeff Van Drew, Lucy McBath, Elissa Slotkin, Max Rose, Abigail Spanberger, and Anthony Brindisi.

Add Hill and that's 12 Democrat wall supporters.

Most are freshman, but Bustos is the chairwoman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, and Clark is the vice chairwoman of the Democrat conference.

Meanwhile, Nancy want to keep President Trump from delivering his State of the Union address. She fears him enough to look childish and silly. She does not want the nation to hear him because his message is as American as baseball.

Democrats are at a terrible disadvantage. Previous shutdowns worked because the president wanted the government to re-open.

President Donald John Trump and his supporters don't care. Keep it closed.

The military still gets paid. Social Security continues. What do I care?

That 94% of the EPA staff was laid off is a bonus. We can last one day longer than the Washington Establishment.

President Trump played this negotiation well.

NBADJT.

Never bet against Donald John Trump.

  1. He was disinvited to the elite establishment state of the union address.

Just heard a great idea. Have the union address as a Trump Rally in like Florida. I would invite everyone for free. Make it a huge rally and event.

Give the state of the union directly to "we the people" and invite the congress to "our state of the union".

    1. Absolutely not. Either give the speech in front of her empty chair or give it in front of a Nancy Pelosi wearing her constipated look.

  2. That is a great idea. The constitution requires that the President “shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient.” Article II, Section 3, Clause 1.

It is only relatively recently that it has become an address. There is no reason he cannot give a speech in a forum such as you describe and just satisfy the constitutional obligation by sending a copy of the speech to the Congress.

  3. I like the idea of him giving the SOTU in public at some venue that could hold 100k of his loyal adoring fans! Let the media try and play that off as a negative!

    1. If he's going to give a SOTU speech but not before the Congress, then I suggest he speaks in front of Abraham Lincoln at the Lincoln Memorial. JPG

LOL! Sure thing....As American as a Matryoshka doll in a fur hat outside of St Basil's cathedral. Too funny.

    4. C'mon Don!!!!

You gotta be not so borderline clever.

Doing the ninny posts requires a special, unrestrained stupid, cloaked in a thin waxing of strained profundity.

And posting your ninny mimicry more than a dozen or so minutes after your article posted just lends to the incredulity.

You know you can do better, because you have.

No authentic ninny has the slightest idea of how to construct a mocking analogy.

      Or an analogy worth mocking.

      Don't surrender to lazy, Don.

    5. Do you have a cogent point somewhere in your snide personal fact-free attack?

    6. Well, Don, ya got Poopsie here fully invested in your Devil's Advocate.

Is it considered rude to give more credit than due or less credit than due?

Because I do not want to be rude to Poopsie.

Poopsie has the cogent sword, ya know.

  5. President Trump has demolished the shutdown paradigm. Shutdowns will never be the same again. I can't wait to see what he does about his State of the Union address. I'll bet Nancy Pelosi and her cohorts will wish they had just let it be delivered as usual. - Elric

  6. I think PDJT needs to do the state of the Union somewhere in Flyover Country. I am tired of all the politicos saying - 'come to DC for this rally'....or 'show Congress how strong we are..come to DC on such and so date'....I don't live by DC, Eastern Liberal Seaboard, the Left Coast either - 1000 miles away, or $1000 plane ticket....hold the SOTUA in Des Moines, Jefferson City, Amarillo, Chattanooga.....like Trump does with his Campaign rallies. Invite the Congress to take Amtrak to the event....

  7. Nancy Pelosi is conceding the national stage to the greatest showman and marketer of our time, a stage *she* controlled and was the hostess of.

I think she will come to regret this sort of mistake because she has given Donald Trump the choice of the venue and control of the guest list, made him the one and only emcee for the event.

No one is luckier in his foes than PDJT.

    1. And I forgot the last, best part. PDJT can turn in a copy of his speech to Congress *after* he has given it. Have fun whipping up a response to that one.

  10. I was saying years ago that the first president to announce he wasn't going to bother with the pointless hype of the SOTU would go UP in the polls. Maybe DJT has been listening.....
