CBS decided to help Democrats by fact-checking in real time President Trump's address on the need for a wall.
CBS reported, "Fact check: Number of women sexually assaulted on trip to border.
"CLAIM: The president claimed one in three women have been sexually assaulted traveling to the border.
"FACT CHECK: Between 60 percent and 80 percent of female migrants traveling through Mexico are raped along the way, Amnesty International estimates."
Hilarious. Who is in charge? Ralph Wiggum?

DeleteI taught English 2nd language a few years back to women who had to run this rape gauntlet, which is where I learned of it, and it wasn't just in Mexico. It was also once they got over the border and were crossing the desert. It was a hugely traumatic experience for those who were attacked.

DeleteDon't know about that 60-80% number unless that is per day. The one in three number was true regarding Mexican women, but for the ones coming from central America and other places, it approaches 100%.

I don't have a problem with people coming here. I want them to do so legally. I want them barred from receiving welfare, subsidized housing, free medical or food stamps. Require them to get a job and keep their noses clean. Hands as well.
I don't want to see them exploited abused or dead, and that is the main thing that happens with the illegal migration that is really an invasion.
I know they want a better life, we all do. Part of it starts with creating a better world in their home land. We did it here, they can do it there.
Most are following Obama's agents he sent there to teach them how to game our system - illegal on several levels, but like Obama's part in the murder of US Agent Brian Terry, nothing will happen as Democrats are held to different laws than the rest of us....

ReplyDeleteInstead of "aid", it should be loans to profit making businesses, only. None for local gov't, none for local NGO, none for charity. Loans so those who want to make something people want to buy, can start making it and see if enough people buy it to make a profit.
If so, the profit proves the sustainability.
If not, loan fails -- and then it is written off as "aid/loan loss".
Only profitable companies in the poor countries can create a "Local Dream" to have a better life there.

Criminals on both sides of the border know that illegal immigrants carry cash with them. They have no choice, since they do not have bank accounts. Migrants heading north carry money for coyotes as well as food. If an illegal alien has any money at all, he will be carrying it with him at all times. Criminals also know that border jumpers don't call the cops.
