Not the enemies of the state, eh?

  1. The left engages in selective amnesia when it comes to certain things. They love the French Revolution. It was the beginnings of democratic republicanism for them (not the American Revolution, interestingly), expansion of the franchise, rule of the people in the modern age, the expression of the Enlightenment and reason. The thing that they don't seem to want to talk about these days is that they used to talk about it as the birthplace of nationalism. Before then countries were ruled by transnational elites that were called kings and queens. These elites belonged to powerful families in a closed fraternity, and most wars up until that time were basically family squabbles that were settled by having a few thousand of the young men from the countryside get killed. After the French Revolution young men went to war for their fellow citizens (and ideology and plunder, but we'll stick to the subjects the lib historians liked to stick to back in the olden dayes). Even during the transitional period before they chopped off his head, Louis XVI had his title changed from King of the French to King of France. A subtle way of saying that the nation-state had been born.

Now they want us to go back to being run by transnational elites.

Look hard at GWB. I see Louis Capet.

    1. Very succinct appraisal of the French Revolution. One of my favorite books on the American Revolution is :1776 -by David McCullough. completely different motivation. I say as a descendant of the "Overmountain Men"
      of Tennessee and North Carolina...

  4. Yes, but the media is diverse.

It appears one of those sitting down might be Asian. The rest are all white.

    1. Their diversity is expressed by being supporters of every country but America, and having loyalty to every culture but our own.

Race is incidental, but it serves to divide us from our countrymen in the hands of the #FakeNewsMedia.

    2. W.S. Gilbert had it right in 1885:

"Then the idiot who praises, with enthusiastic tone
All centuries but this, and every country but his own"

      They never would be missed.

  5. If you ask them why: The media: "He's not our president nor our country and if we have to destroy it to get even with Trump we will."
