New attorney general: "I would indict Hillary Clinton"

President Trump's new attorney general will enforce the law. Washington is shocked.

In July 2016, he took Jimmy the Weasel to task in a column for USA Today, headlined, "I would indict Hillary Clinton."

The new general, Matthew Whitaker, wrote, "According to FBI Director James Comey’s statement on Tuesday, former secretary of State Hillary Clinton could have been charged with violating several different code sections, and he detailed the evidence that supports bringing criminal charges.

"Yet, Director Comey’s judgment was that 'no reasonable prosecutor' would bring the case. I disagree. I believe myself to have been a reasonable prosecutor, and when the facts and evidence show a criminal violation has been committed, the individuals involved should not dictate whether the case is prosecuted."

Wow. In Washington that is crazy talk. In Washington, there are two sets of laws, one for Republicans and one for Democrats.

Drive drunk and kill a lady? No problem, Ted Kennedy. Not being able to run for president next year is punishment enough. You can run nine years later.

Scooter Libby lies to a special counsel over something unrelated to the assignment the prosecutor was given? Six months in prison.

Whitaker wrote, "The facts also show it was gross negligence when she removed the information from State Department security. Secretary Clinton made the decision to use a personal email system, one that had inferior security to the State Department’s or even another commercial vendor’s email service.

"A reasonable prosecutor may ask, if on numerous occasions, an unknown State Department employee had taken top secret information from a secured system, emailed that information on a Gmail account, and stored the information on a personal server for years, would that individual be prosecuted? I believe they would."

I think we have the attorney general we need.

  1. Will the Senate Lefties go all Kavanaugh on whomever Trump nominates for AG? Here's an idea: after the new Congress is seated McConnell could recess the Senate at the first excuse and Trump could make a recess appointment of the AG, which would stand until the new Congress in 2021.

    1. Forget that.

RBG is in the hospital again, fall with 3 broken ribs.

55 Rs in the Senate and Grassley is having Brother Bret's accusers investigated.

Forget the popcorn. Get some Cinnabons.

  2. The more I find out about Mr. Whitaker, the more it's obvious he's up to the job.

The biggest tip-off is that all the Democrat leaders are upset at his appointment.

  3. About time the "Justice Department" started enforcing the law not political correctness.

  4. I am unreasonable to hope that Matthew Whitaker can take time to remember the late Vincent Foster?

    1. Ain't gonna happen as Brett Kavanaugh was one of the investigators for Starr who covered that up.

    2. Interesting. So you admit that the Clintons had something to do with it thus the bureaucracy which included Starr had to fix it?

  5. President Yeti - October 2016: “If I win, I am going to instruct my attorney general to get a special prosecutor to look into [Hillary's] situation because there has never been so many lies, so much deception. There has never been anything like it, and we’re going to have a special prosecutor."

Two years later and nothing but crickets. If all you AWM want Hillary investigated, all that it takes is one directive from President Dennison. It's in his court and he continues to stall. Why?

Hey Surbots, the election is over. Hillary lost. Why you all still so angry? Makes no sense.

We just lost the House. You see any deranged "Surbots" rioting on the streets like you guys do?

    3. > Hey Surbots, the election is over.

Hey Troll, don't tell us. Tell Hillary. Tell the #Resistance. Tell Mueller. Tell the Del Mock Rats.

We'd like nothing better than to see some recognition for 2016's long list of sore losers that Donald J. Trump is their president.

  6. Can you imagine how much criminal dirt would be uncovered about Obama, the Clintons, the Democrats, the FBI, the CIA, and so many other entities if an honest special counsel was appointed who operated under the same mandate as Mueller? That is, "I'll just investigate anything and everything I want." Essentially that's what they've done to Trump and everyone in his orbit.

Better yet, can you imagine what the backlash would be from those implicated and its effect on the republic?

  7. But but but but the BiPartisan Fusion Party says that the laws should not be enforced against the Elite. Laws should only be enforced against the working class and, especially, the black and brown underclass who vote for the lefty Dem side of the BiPartisan Fusion Party in large numbers and whose "thank you" is to do 20 years in jails for offenses that Beto O'Rourke's Daddy could have gotten dismissed against his Baby Boy in 4.5 seconds. I'm sure Jeb! Bush,a member in good standing of the Elitist BiPartisan Fusion Party, will rouse himself to complaint about this turn of events, if only he had the energy.

  8. There is no evidence that Scooter Libby lied to the special counsel. He had a different memory of his conversation with Tim Russert than Russert had. No reasonable person would conclude that Libby lied to no purpose, and that Russert's memory was perfect. Libby was simply a pawn destroyed by the Democrats' zeal to "get" Cheney.

  9. Go for it. She's been protected long enough and should be trying on a prison jumpsuit.

  11. Before Scooter Libby was questioned, the special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald already knew who the "leaker" was -- Richard Armitage.

If he already knew, what was he doing still investigating?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Sorry Don. Anonymous and Dan above are correct. Scooter Libby didn't lie, he recounted his recollection of his conversation with Russert differently than Russert did. That's all. And Libby was supposed to be one step on the ladder leading up to Cheney's scalp. But that turned out to be impossible, because Fitzgerald knew that Armitage did it, and he knew that from the beginning of the investigation. BTW, Colin Powell, who also knew from the beginning, is a top-rank weasel.

  13. I don't think it's too late to indict Hillary -- and that's what should happen. Let's get the facts out there, and let a trial decide her guilt or not.
