Fact-checking Trump in Topeka

In Topeka, Kansas, last night, President Trump gave his version of the Six O'Clock News.

The only difference with real news is his speech was less biased, more factual, and presented better.

Nevertheless, I must fact-check the man.

Trump said, "In their quest for power. The radical Democrats have turned into an angry mob. You saw that today with the screaming and the shouting not from the 200 people or less that were you know what those people. They couldn't fit in the front row. Look what we have here today they threw away and threw aside every notion of fairness of justice of decency and of due process."

Fact-check: TRUE.

Democrats dredged up a charge against Brett Kavanaugh that was unsubstantiated by anyone. Nevertheless, they demanded a hearing and an FBI investigation. They then rejected the results of the investigation.

Trump said: "Republicans believe in the rule of law. Not the rule of the mob. We're doing a hell of a job of doing it. We're draining the swamp and we want to defeat. The Democrats. So. Under Republican leadership. America is booming. America is thriving. Because we are finally putting. America first. We are putting."

Fact-check: TRUE.

Republicans held a hearing and had the FBI check out the claims against Kavanaugh. The claims did not check out. Then Democrats unleashed angry mobs to harangue Republicans.

Trump said: "Yesterday it was announced that unemployment has fallen to three point seven percent. The lowest. Rate. In. 50 years lowest in 50. We've created nearly 600,000 jobs in the last three months alone."

Fact-check: TRUE.

The numbers came out on Friday. Technically, unemployment is the lowest in 49 years. Close enough for government work.

Trump said: "Manufacturing confidence is at an all time high confidence very important. All. Time high. And we have the best. Economy in the history of our country about we're taking care of our veterans protecting our great seniors. And rebuilding America's military might like it hasn't been built before."

Fact-check: TRUE.

By every measure, Americans are doing better than ever before. Even the unemployed.

Trump said: "But if Democrats take control. They will try to plunge our country into gridlock poverty and chaos and that's what's going to happen."

Fact-check: TRUE.

Democrats have made impeachment their goal, and not the economy. The Washington Post reported today, "With Kavanaugh confirmed, impeachment could follow. Here's how."

Trump: "The Democrats want to significantly raise your taxes. Essentially. They want to impose socialism. Venezuela. Dismantle law enforcement and eliminate our borders. They want to have nice open borders bill."

Fact-check: TRUE.

In May, they released their tax increase bill, and Hillary called for open borders in 2016. Americans rejected her.

Trump said: "I have got more Indian blood in me than Pocahontas, and I have none. Sadly, I have none. But I have more than she does. They said to her, why do you say you are of Indian heritage? Well, my mother told me I have high cheek bones. Do you have documentation? No, I don’t. But I have high cheek bones. Well, I have high cheekbones."

Fact-check: TRUE.

Melania Trump also has high cheekbones. Maybe everyone on Earth is Indian.

Trump said: "Maybe I will do very well. I want to be careful. I’m take out so many of these people, I am hitting them so hard they are disappearing. I may get somebody who is good to run against me. That will not be good. I’ll take out all the easy ones and maybe I will get stuck with somebody who is actually good. But I don’t see anybody on that side."

Fact-check: FALSE.

You can never hit Democrats too hard or too often. Also, there is no one good in the Democratic Party. That bus left when Joe Lieberman became an independent.

  1. tired of hearing how Lieberman was such a goody. I recall the Thomas -Hill crap...and how Lieberman left the room so that his vote wouldn't have to count either way. Yes, he missed the roll call on purpose, only to come back in a vote at the end. Some profile in courage.

  2. Perhaps, 'not substantiated by anyone.'

  3. Yes. Please. Read it over before posting. So many errors. Sad.

    1. lol

      Right on que.

      So many errors

Since there are "so many" - name one.

It is truly scary how so many Americans think they're so smart as they talk smack. The most ignorant are always the loudest. Just listen to Maxine Waters.

Better yet, like Balsey Ford she has a graduate degree. If one can take a loan or better still - qualify for a minority grant, just show up, do a little work and you never flunk out. Colleges are all about generating revenue.

  4. Joe Lieberman, grabbing at straws are we.Even so he would have to become Rep,as he does not belong anymore.

  5. Amazing that not one democrat in congress has called out their own party.

  6. people who hate him make fun of his language in speeches, how he repeats himself, fragments, etc. But what I notice is I understand exactly what he is saying message wise, and it tends to stick in my memory far better than a typical teleprompter read speech. Yes he has a speech that he reads but he ad libs all the time and that is the stuff you remember.
