What if Trump wrote that NYT op-ed

The New York Times ran an op-ed by an anonymous White House official, under the headline, "I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Trump Administration."

The Washington Post rejoiced. Its story on the story was headlined, "‘The sleeper cells have awoken’: Trump and aides shaken by ‘resistance’ op-ed."

If true, this is sedition. Encouraging government employees to rise against a duly elected president is irresponsible and unAmerican.

The irony in the op-ed from the NYT's anonymous WH coward is glaring and massive: s/he accuses Trump of being "anti-democratic" while boasting of membership in an unelected cabal that covertly imposes their own ideology with zero democratic accountability, mandate or transparency

They are undermining a democratic institution: an elected president. If successful, there is no turning back. The next Democratic president will be an open target.

But this sudden burst of unwarranted and unprecedented attacks on the presidency itself is not by happenstance.

Democrats have determined that chaos is their friend. They are going all in on de-legitimizing the president and hence, the presidency itself. Once we elected Donald John Trump, you cannot separate the two.

However, they made a strategic mistake. Chaos favors President Trump. It always does. He rose from an office on Coney Island 40 years ago to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue using wit, guile, and any edge he could get in a negotiation.

if u believe that the anonymous Times piece helps anyone but Trump, u might be dumber than u look. Writer admits country is safer and more prosperous. What's left? His style. He's mean! So what! Screw you, ya big baby.

So who wrote it? Who did President Trump this favor?

Well, the Lord helps those who help themselves.

More than a quarter-century ago, Trump became his own publicity agent to drop a bombshell story on himself.

On May 16, 2016, Fortune magazine ran a story that was topped with this:

"Editor’s note: On Friday, May 13th, the Washington Post published a story based on an odd episode between Donald Trump and a reporter from People, in which the reporter claims Trump call her under a different name, claiming to be a PR person. Trump has denied the claim. The former People reporter Sue Carswell has since said she believes Trump leaked the audio recording of the interview himself. Here is the article, originally published on July 8, 1991, and titled 'TRUMP SAYS GOODBYE MARLA, HELLO CARLA And a mysterious PR man who sounds just like Donald calls to spread the story,' on which the Washington Post story was based."

Marla was his mistress and future wife. At the time he may have been negotiating a pre-nuptial agreement.

The Carla is singer/model/actress Carla Bruni, who totally denied any affair with The Donald. She later married Nicolas Sarkozy, and served as first lady of France for four years.

Make no mistake, President Trump was dead serious when he said the leaks are real but the news is fake. He and his staff pump out a lot of off-the-record falsehoods that reporters spread as gospel.

I would suggest reporters ignore the off-the-record stuff and go strictly with what they say on the record.

I’m draining the Swamp, and the Swamp is trying to fight back. Don’t worry, we will win!

A triple header! I wouldn't put it past President Trump. Maybe he did it to shake up the place hoping a few of the weasels will resign/quit. CTH says the piece sounds like it could have been written by Jonah Goldberg:
If NRO’s Jonah Goldberg worked for the administration, he would be suspect #1 – that’s the dripping sense of superiority and elitism expressed.

    2. Mike Pence: "I am a Christian, a conservative and a Republican in that order." Why would he tolerate the most heathenistic, Republican non-conservative U.S president in history if he didn't want to be president himself?

Pence is growing impatient and wants to be President Cyrus sooner than later.

  7. I place my bet on John McCain and daughter Meghan before he died to escape the Hangman's Noose.

Bashing at the funeral, reference to him in Op-ed, reference to Trump meeting Putin in Helsinki. McCain was evill, vindictive and a traitor in the first degree.

    1. Trump the Troll-King is still playing the media like a broken drum: you can't beat it!

Personally I'm sure he was trolling them then just like he's trolling them now, and laughing about it all the way.

Here's the video of ABC discussing this "distressing and bizarre" thing, which they just cannot believe:

  9. The funny part is if this was really written by a deep state operative, this would prove that PDJT is right about the deep state. The NYT will have proven the point.

I too believe that this is our President totally owning the media in preparation for the big deep state FBI, CIA, DOJ and Meuller takedown.

    1. Indeed, it's a win-win (or no lose) story for the President. As for the BIG TAKEDOWN, I hope you're right. Sunlight into the deepest, roach infested corners of "justice" department will expose a lot of vermin, both in and out of government.

  10. Omorosa, Woodward and now this. It looks like the Dems and their PR media have settled for a 25th Amendment strategy, maybe because that's all they really have. At any rate we'll she how far they get with it.

  11. Maybe it was Trump but it could indeed be someone in his administration. Trump delegates, which made his "The Apprentice" persona so easy for him. This op-ed person might be someone that didn't take direction well, a know-it-all if you will, or maybe an Obama holdover. It could be just somebody planning to leave the administration trying to get rid of the Trump pariah designation that the left paints on everyone around Trump to discourage people from working with the administration.

  12. As I read about the NYT op-ed yesterday, and the op-ed itself, I thought of you, Don, and wondered if the whole thing was DJT planned response to Woodward's book. That would be perfect, eh? LOL!!

  17. This is great food for thought, much to ponder in fact if true it proves how gullible the silly press is.

  18. Does anyone really believe that the NYT doesn't know who the author is? They know. No paper in America would publish something like this that was written anonymously. This is nothing more than a hit piece against the president solely for the purpose of increasing circulation and gaining advertising dollar in the process. They have absolutely no interest in presenting us with truth and are only interested in making money. It's their only motive and exactly what businesses do, make money.

  21. The great part is that I can see it as a win for Trump if he did plant it, and NYT got played, but it's also a win for him if it's really a "top admin" weasel.

I suspect (55%) that the source got a general ok from Trump to leak this stuff, and is planning on leaving (WH counsel?) anyway.

The NYT knows who the leaker / fabricator is (are).

  22. You know, it could have been written by a White House intern. The NYT said it was written by a senior White House official. Some of the interns are seniors - high school seniors and college seniors. They could be considered "senior" White House officials.
