Trump putting Iran away

Like many a conservative, I used to chuckle at John McCain's "bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb-bomb Iran."

Thank goodness Donald Trump is president because he is taking down Iran's mullah regime with minimum ordnance.

The Financial Times reported, "Troubles are mounting in Iran. Its currency, the rial, has lost more than half its value against the dollar on unofficial markets this year and inflation is soaring. Even middle-class Iranians are struggling to get by, with food prices rising and reported fuel shortages in some cities. Sporadic anti-government demonstrations are continuing.

"Worse, the economic pressure on the country is set to mount. The U.S. government last week reinstated economic sanctions that had been waived as part of the Iran nuclear deal of 2015."

This is not how the last four presidents handled world affairs. They favored no-fly zones and the like.

President Trump is trying soft power, and it has worked in North Korea. Iran seems headed down the same path.

The Financial Times wrote, "President Donald Trump’s offer to Tehran of unconditional talks suggests that the diplomatic path has not been totally cut off. Iran will be extremely reluctant to make further concessions on the nuclear issue and is unlikely to abandon its regional allies in Syria, Lebanon and Iraq. But mounting economic pressure and domestic discontent could yet force a reassessment. An Iran that was prepared to concentrate on vital domestic reforms rather than its regional ambitions would offer a better future to its people."

Well, that seems very practical. They had a ton of money they could have used on that "domestic reforms" thingy (compliments of a certain obozo guy) but, alas, chose to go with armaments to kill Israli's instead. "Reform" - whether domestic or governmental - is not in Iran's cards. It's not even on their radar screens. This will not end like Korea. These guys are Persians and will lie, steal, cheat, and kill to get it their way. I hope the Saudi's are on board with us here. There's gonna be shooting before it's tamped down.

      So, they're Democrats.

  3. Don, we should call this - "the Iran nuclear deal of 2015" - by its real name, the Obama Iran gift of 2015.

  4. Look at how the weak man runs his staff:

Trump: "Omarosa, what's going on? I just saw on the news that you're thinking about leaving? What happened?”

Omarosa: “General Kelly — General Kelly came to me and said that you guys wanted me to leave.”

Trump: “No... I, I - Nobody even told me about it.”

    Omarosa: “Wow.”

Trump: “You know they run a big operation, but I didn't know it. I didn't know that. Goddamn it. I don't love you leaving at all."

Such a fraud. And you gobble it all down. Can't even fire a harmless reality "star". You know "they" run a big operation. Too funny. Quick better have someone fire Peter Strzok--the weak little man needs a distraction.

    1. She can put up the "tape" any time.

If not, she, and you, need to shut up.

    3. Does making meaningless comments that nobody reads give you some sort of sad satisfaction? I feel sorry for you.

  7. Anon, the intelligent-sounding one, probably has it right.

The mullahs either hop a plane to Paris like Bani-Sadr 29 years ago, or make sure the plot is paid for.

    1. Yes they are.

I think the Mullahs have more sense than Maxine Waters and know they are going down. I would hate for them to meet with PDJT as that might legitimize them. Iran needs regime change. Totally different than North Korea.

    2. If they do meet with PDT, it will be to set up an exit strategy.

It's noticeable that the MSM doesn't cover these issues well at all. Too busy with the Big Stories like 2 scoops of ice cream consumed by the President.

  9. Hopefully the Iranian people will rise up and overthrow the mullahs, the sooner the better.

Just finished watching the HBO special "The Final Year", about the last year of the reign of Obozo. They spent nearly half the documentary on how hard they were working on their precious "Iran deal". There are a lot of Obozo-worshippers crying in their beer right now because of how Trump is grinding the mullahs into the dust.

If you watch it, fast-forward to the last 17 minutes, while Obozo and his minions watch the 2016 election results come in. Very nice indeed!

  10. If the bragging of the Iranian government on receiving the money from the Obama Admin is nation wide, yet the people are suffering, that may be enough to start the slide to another Green Revolution as in 2009. This time we will have a President who will take the side of the Iranian people.
