News the press buried today

Today I learned: Consumer confidence is at its highest in 18 years. American workers are the happiest they have been with their jobs in 13 years. The economy is now growing at an annual rate of 4.2%.

I learned this from tweets from President Trump.

Let's see what the big stories were this afternoon at CNN.

White House counsel to leave, Trump says

  • Sources: Second Trump Org employee discussed immunity deal

So CNN ran 20 headlines before it got around to saying the economy is growing faster than we thought.

CNN deemed the suicide of a detective in Baltimore was more important.

ABC News led with McGahn leaving this fall. Nothing on the economy. It did have the scallops war story.

CBS News had nothing on the economy. Its business news was limited to "Cleveland Browns' Mychal Kendricks facing insider-trading charges."

NBC News led with "DeSantis under fire for saying Florida shouldn't 'monkey this up' by electing Gillum, who is black." Its economic news was limited to the backup linebacker on the 0-16 Browns.

President Trump did a better job of informing people using Twitter.

Consumer Confidence Index, just out, is the HIGHEST IN 18 YEARS! Also, GDP revised upward to 4.2 from 4.1. Our country is doing great!

White House Counsel Don McGahn will be leaving his position in the fall, shortly after the confirmation (hopefully) of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the United States Supreme Court. I have worked with Don for a long time and truly appreciate his service!

Martha McSally is an extraordinary woman. She was a very talented fighter jet pilot and is now a highly respected member of Congress. She is Strong on Crime, the Border and our under siege 2nd Amendment. Loves our Military and our Vets. Has my total and complete Endorsement!

When you see “anonymous source,” stop reading the story, it is fiction!

“Anonymous Sources are really starting to BURN the media.” The fact is that many anonymous sources don’t even exist. They are fiction made up by the Fake News reporters. Look at the lie that Fake CNN is now in. They got caught red handed! Enemy of the People!

Meanwhile, Roger Friedman reported, "Kardashians’ Ratings Have Fallen Every Week of New Season, Finished 5th Place in Time Period on Sunday."

Still ahead of CNN.

President Trump is a more trustworthy source of news than the media. No wonder they hate him.

  1. If the news were relatively neutral then his approval rating would be in the mid-sixties.

  2. If it wasn't for fake news I'd have no news at all.

    2. Hey, I've never seen any Kardashian whatever-it-is-they-do on TV, and have to agree that the family includes fruit-loops; but give credit where it's due-

Kim Kardashian West lobbied President Trump re: a pardon for some woman serving life for a drug sentence & prison reform, and accomplished getting the woman set free with her sentence commuted.

Kim's husband Kanye West stood by the President & wore a MAGA hat, which got him roundly condemned for straying from the black plantation, but he refused to back down & still backs our POTUS.

Just two things which tell me that the Kardashians are worth an ocean liner full of "journalists" whose only skill is lying to the brainwashed!

  4. You have to understand. Numbers and economics are both hard to understand. So the ignorant and poorly educated media ignore them.

  8. This should be a lesson for anyone who says the President should not tweet, or, tweeting is "not presidential." If President Trump doesn't report the news who will?

  9. Thanks again Don for paying attention to this crap so that I don't have to. Your blog and Lucianne.com save me from clicking on any "nooz" in the MSM and yet I get a good summary of what they (and their pitiful audience) are yapping about today.

  10. I honestly wouldn't know WHAT 'certain' self described "press" say, don't say, decline to say or outright lie about, (being Liberals, they ARE known, proven liars)..... The only reason that I even know they still exist is because others, whom I DO trust, tell me about them. If it WEREN'T for that, I would NEVER KNOW...... But forewarned IS forearmed...
