She soiled her reputation over Trump

Politics is pretty simple. It has to be. Consider the intelligence of our politicians. One of the rules is to not tell a member of the public F-U -- especially in a public forum.

Democrat Patricia "Pat" Edmonson of Palm Beach, Florida, forgot that.

She let her unhealthy obsession with Trump get the better of her.

Now she lost her elected job to the board of the Palm Beach Soil and Water Conservation District.

She is too small a fish to add to the Trump Schadenfreude List, but hers is a cautionary tale about taking politics too personal.

In a Facebook discussion of President Trump meeting with Putin (as the last three presidents have), retired Command Sergeant Major James Plowman of North Carolina defended the president.

Edmonson mocked his service.

He said he served 53 months in combat over a 30-year career. He said he saw no freedoms being taken away by President Trump.

Her first comment was "Then you didn't receive proper treatment for that traumatic brain injury. Only the deaf, dumb and blind are still toeing the 'nothing to see here' line."

I do not think he mentioned any traumatic brain injury.

His response was "Another one who only knows how to insult. Did you seriously make fun of my service? Yeah, you're really special."

She replied, "F U." Only she spelled it out. She also said, "Do your dead brothers ever visit your dreams and ask you why you’ve turned your back on them?" and "Do you smell the rotting flesh of those you've betrayed?"

Frieda Powers of Biz Pac Review posted a story about the exchange, and noted, "A 2016 candidate profile of Edmonson in The Palm Beach Post indicated that she lost a 2009 bid in the Democrat Primary for Lt. Governor in Virginia, was listed as a Board Member of the West Palm Beach Democratic Club and was a volunteer leader in the Palm Beach County 'Hillary for America' campaign."

Rob Long who also is on the board called for her resignation, which she obliged.

She is a retiree who moved to Florida and is way too involved in politics. Too many women of a certain age identified with Hillary, and they took her loss too personal. They still are not over the loss.

My advice to them is don't let defeat define you.

When Bush lost in 1992, Dole in 1996, McCain in 2008, and Romney in 2012, I got over it after a good night's sleep.

That's what a normal person does.

But if they want to spend the rest of their lives in Loserville, that is their choice.

They just should not tell people F U.

  1. "Hysterical" comes from the Greek for "from the womb." The Greeks thought that the uterus caused insanity.

    1. I have yet to see a convincing argument that they were wrong.

    2. Once in Uni I had an English professor from Hungary who insisted that men could not be hysterical, for that exact reason: the root of the word.

Back then I was more ignorant than I am now, and argued with him, saying that men could be just as hysterical as women.

Mea culpa! I was wrong, so wrong!

Even the soyboys are only a pale imitation. Remember this?

  2. This reminds me of a woman in a foreign language class in college who had just qualified to teach in the public schools. She said they asked her to pledge to uphold the constitution of the state when she got her license and that she lied to them and said "yes" while telling us in class that she had no intention of respecting the constitution of a state that had X law regarding some feminist or homosexual whatever (I don't remember the exact complaint, but you get my drift--This is the typical lib rationalization for extending their contempt for God onto everyone around themselves). That woman is probably out there doing the same things that this idiot is.

  3. I think in some ways HC was as important to the self esteem of some women (and even men, mostly Gays) as Obama was to Blacks. They saw him as an affirmation of their own worth as human beings. Through him they achieved Respect. So powerful was this idea that even though he failed at almost everything, They felt they still had that Respect he had conferred upon them. This idea was reconfirmed a few weeks ago by Don Lemon of CNN who said Respect was more important for Blacks than having a job. No matter what Trump did for the Black community he could not give it the respect Obama provided by his skin color and demeanor, was his point. So with HC. Her famous and even admired criminality was not as important as the Respect she would confer upon her ragged band of misfit women (and men like Lemon). The misfits saw the huge outpouring of bribery money supporting her campaign as an affirmation of unchallenged power and respect to come, a glory that would shine out upon them as her supporters and make them finally visible to others as worthy. I could go farther in this Poppsychoism and say this woman's FU to the military guy was because she gets no respect identifying with or showing deference to the military where medals for heroism and respect in general are mostly the purview of men. Of course if HC was CNC it would be different.
For these people who lack respect, who need it so much, Hillary's loss is not a repairable wound. But 20 is not far away.

    2. Sorry, not buying it.

Respect was more important for Blacks than having a job.

But black people have a higher esteem for Trump than any R in a long time. Why? That 3 letter word J-O-B-S.

Her famous and even admired criminality was not as important as the Respect she would confer upon her ragged band of misfit women

A lot of those broads have either rich husbands or have had some success in their careers. If they respect her "famous and even admired criminality", good luck on the respect.

Thing is, respect isn't conferred or demanded.

      It's earned.

    3. What ED said is true in the real world but it is not how people actually think. Also Don Lemon made the statement about respect, not me. Living in New York under Obama, these feelings were obvious to even a casual observer. I think Trump is still below 20% approval among Black voters. The highest percentage of the women who voted for HC were unmarried and so without rich husbands. She was somebody to them and still is. People admire those with unlimited powers they do not or will never have, even if they are bad people. The Godfather movies made billions, but the mafia people I've met are not admirable in the least. However i wish I could order a hit on a few people myself.

    4. You are typical of someone who is trying to act intelligent with the over flow of words to say this"Of course if HC was CNC it would be different.

This is the kind of stuff Lefties used to phone parents of men killed in 'Nam.

Looked her up online and she's 64, so she would have been about 10 or so when this was the cool thing for Commies to do ('65 or so). She wouldn't have done it herself back then, so I'm guessing she learned from Mom and Dad.

The rotten apple really doesn't fall far from the tree, does it?

  6. As Dr. Michael Savage titled his book, “Liberalism is a Mental Disorder”.

I got over past elections quickly, except for Ford losing to Mr. Peanut. That took about a week.

  8. Our biased media deserve most of the credit for validating and reinforcing this type of behavior. These people have some kind of a mental deficiency that is exploited and magnified by the media's slanting of the news.
