No, this doesn't make Democrats sound like kooks

"The Obama Administration's CIA director, John Brennan, charged that President Trump's post-summit press conference with Russia President Vladimir Putin was an act of treason," Grabienews reported.

"Donald Trump's press performance in Helsinki rises to and exceeds the threshold of 'high crimes and misdemeanors,'" Brennan tweeted.

"It was nothing short of treasonous. Not only were Trump's comments imbecilic, he is wholly in the pocket of Putin. Republican Patriots: Where are you???"

Treason requires the nation to be at war, which was why communists Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were charged with espionage and not treason for giving the Russians secrets to build their first nuclear bombs.

Meanwhile, Anderson Cooper said, “You've been watching perhaps one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president at a summit in front of a Russian leader, certainly that I’ve ever seen.

[SNIP]

"The president -- given the opportunity, asked by an American reporter who he trusted on the issue of Russian meddling, the U.S. intelligence community or Vladimir Putin, he blinked and he went to Hillary Clinton’s e-mail server. As to who he holds responsible, he says I hold both countries responsible. I think we are all to blame. We have a chance to do some great things; made no mention of Georgia, the shooting down of a Malaysian plane, Crimea and Ukraine, and election interference."

Ah, objective straight news reporting.

Those things happened when Barack Obama was president.

He never confronted Putin about them.

Cooper never confronted Obama about that.

Remember?

"President Obama did not discuss Russia’s alleged meddling in the U.S. elections during his short conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday," The Hill reported on November 20, 2016.

"'That’s behind us,' Obama told reporters during a press conference at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Peru.

"The President said he and Putin discussed Russia’s air campaign in Syria and the Minsk negotiations regarding Ukraine.

"In October, the Obama administration formally accused Russia of trying to interfere in the American elections by hacking emails belonging to Democratic National Committee members."

But now, two years after Obama passed on confronting Putin, Obama's party has its minions in the press attacking President Trump.

Richard Stengel, former managing editor of Time magazine, said, "The Constitution says that the president must take care that the laws be faithfully executed. That’s his main job. We saw the chief law enforcement officer of the United States, the president of the United States, stand up next to a Russian dictator and take his side against the law enforcement agencies of the United States. That’s a stunning development.

[SNIP]

"We are under attack from Russia. If there were physical missiles, like during the Cuban Missile Crisis, Americans would be in the streets and protesting and asking for the president to protect us. These are invisible missiles. These are digital missiles that are going into our system. We can’t see them. We have a hard time explaining them. DNI Coats said the red light was blinking like just before 9/11. I mean, we’re in a very difficult situation and I think there has to be a better way to explain this to the American people and then make the American people alarmed by what is happening to us."

Naw, comparing one computer hacked to 9/11 does not make Stengel sound like a foaming-mouth loon.

This has all the spontaneity of a wedding.

All this rage was planned by the Democratic Party to diminish the president's success. When you are negotiating with someone, you do not bring up all this.

FDR didn't say boo about the Holodomor when he offered Stalin half of Europe in exchange for help against the Nazis (whom Russia already was at war with).

Forget facts. Look at how this reaction to the press conference plays at home.

Once again, President Trump makes his critics sound like kooks, because they are.

    1. Just wondering- but what's Soetoro's net worth these days?

I'm sure he invested his salary wisely, so he might be worth at least a million. Right? Oh, it's $40 million? Wow, he must really be a good investor!

He's never ever take any money under the table from someone who counted on him to be "flexible," now would he. Nah! Of course he wouldn't, he's a real Christian; we know he is, he told us so.

  3. Hey Brennan, Trump patriots are watching his back. That's where they are.

  4. I watched Neil Cavuto and guests on FBN go ballistic. They don’t have a clue and we’re going to pounce no matter what was said.

Also a tweet from Miss Lindsey “if it were me, I’d check the soccer ball for listening devices and never allow it in the White House.” I wonder what nonsense Graham’s bud McCain will come out with.

  5. The truest thing said this week end was by DT, that the press is the enemy of the people. His responsibility is to avoid war and keep American boys out of body bags. What is the responsibility of the press? To make money for themselves.
In a way it is a constitutional struggle. The press has 1A which protects it from the law whereas Trump's time in office can only be truncated by a political process. But in reality the "press" is a cabal of around 8 rich men trying to subvert that political process for their own ends. It is a faction that should be permanently suppressed. Otherwise slavery awaits.

  6. Defense of Donald Trump grabbing his ankles for Pootie on the other hand does make you look like a "kook"--or a least a traitor. More indictments. Looks like the NRA was a backchannel for Russia.

    2. Grabbing his ankles, gee, you'd think that Trump sent Putin a pallet of cash, or let Putin snatch up Crimea with no response, or promised Putin's lackeys that he'd have more "flexibility" (to bend over) after the election. After 8 years of one of the biggest pussies on Earth handling American foreign policy you'd think you lefties would have enough dignity to STFU. Indictments....yawn...

    3. "The NRA was a backchannel for Russia."

Move over, evil Dr. Evil, and Mini-Me as well: there's a new Bad Guy on the block, the evillest evildoer who ever eviled, and that's... the NRA!

Why, there's nothing so evil as teaching gun safety: it thrills dictators, murderers, rapists and jihadists all over the world! That's why they are all against the NRA!

I swear, you leftist loons are becoming parodies of yourselves. I feel for The Onion and the Babylon Bee, it's hard to satirize such idiocy!

  7. If the only "evidence" that attests to Russian interference in the 2016 election is from the DNC servers, then there is no credible proof of that claim that would stand up in court if Mueller even dared to prosecute the Russians he just indicted. The claims of interference appear to be as phony as a 3 dollar bill. The only evidence of interference in the election that I find credible establishes Brennan as the original perpetrator of the phony Russian collusion smear against Trump and the Intel community's campaign of spying against the Trump election campaign. Brennan colluded with the Clinton organization to undermine Trump's election campaign. The evidence at hand says there was no Russian collusion; there was only Brennan collusion.

    1. What is it with Democrats and their servers? Hillary's was wiped, the one the Congressional Dems were using has vanished, and the DNC server was never examined by the FBI.

A person might get the idea that they are trying to hide something.

    2. Iapetus, in a rational world you would be exactly right: "there was no Russian collusion; there was only Brennan collusion." That's the only conclusion you can draw from facts, reason and logic.

In the madhouse world we live in, though- don't forget the "anonymous sources" that provide the "narrative" that our intrepid "reporters" in the MSM provide to us; they paint a far different picture! We're not supposed to notice that facts, reason and logic are conspicuous by their absence.

It's a totally phony picture, but that's all they'll talk about. We really do need a better class of FakeMedia, even regular people are beginning to realize that something stinks about the "news" coverage!

  8. "President Trump must clarify his statements in Helsinki on our intelligence system and Putin. It is the most serious mistake of his presidency and must be corrected—-immediately." --Newt Gingrich. Doesn't sound like the orange clown being sodomized in front of the world played well on either side of the aisle.

After all, you're always saying that sodomy is something to be celebrated- right?

So if that's the case, you should be proud and happy! Or are you just sad that it wasn't you?

  11. Ha! John Brennan is a low-rent political hack that should have never been put in charge of anything greater than catching dogs. You'd think a guy who could easily be brought up on perjury charges would be smart enough to STFU and fade into obscurity.

  12. Brennan and cooper and their fellow dunderheads have this strange vision of russia in 2018 as more or less still the old ussr of 1960, but only more sinister and v putin as dr evil, bent on global domination and destruction. They have very shallow stupid and outdated views and cannot remove the cold war from their thick heads. New day new world new people new threats new opportunities.

  13. Pre-meeting we have to hear about how unpatriotic of Trump not to adopt the Dem./Deep State agenda in confronting Putin when the fact is they're only trying to use Trump to legitimatize their Russian/Trump collusion fabrication. Then after today's news conference they really get the vapors when Trump doesn't defend and give credibility to the same group of entities that have been working to undermine him, if not overthrow him, since the primaries. A group that he's been criticizing from the getgo and isn't going to capitulate to now and maybe sour negotiations. I can just see if Trump would have defended them the MSM, Dem. syndicate using it in an out of context soundbite against him in the event of a Mueller October surprise.
Maybe in another 6 1/2 years they'll finally figure Trump out because it sure looks like he's got them figured out.
The only thing I myself find disappointing about today is the fence sitting squishes in the Rs that fell in line with the MSM driven talking points, and I'm not talking about just the old reliables like Captain Bill, Eggy or the rest of that subset of misfits. Trump is Trump get use to it, if it wouldn't have been Trump it would have been President Hillary, no other Republican would have (and continues to) pushed back against the entrenched system like Trump, period.
