Americans don't care about Russia

For nearly two years now, the media has told Americans that President Trump won the presidency because of Russia. The media myth holds that President Trump colluded with Russians, who meddled in the election.

This week, the media ramped up its verbiage with cries of treason for President Trump to meet with Putin. The cable outlets put on experts who said Russian meddling is the equivalent of 9/11 and Pearl Harbor.

Not one ounce of proof was offered.

Instead, the media once again rolled out unsubstantiated accusations from the left -- this time in the form of an indictment that will never have to be proven in court, as Wrong Way Mueller once again indicted people who will not be extradited.

The public isn't buying this garbage. People could not care less about Russia.

Gallup asked Americans, "What do you think is the most important problem facing the country today?"

Russia did not make the list.

Not even 1% of the public thinks Russia is another 9/11 or Pearl Harbor. Only the fools squawking on cable television care.

Things that are the top concern of 1% or more of Americans include: The economy in general, unemployment/jobs, the gap between rich and poor, the federal budget deficit/federal debt, foreign trade/trade deficit, taxes, wage issues, fuel/oil prices, dissatisfaction with government/poor leadership, immigration/illegal aliens, race relations/racism, healthcare, lack of respect for each other, unifying the country, guns/gun control, ethics/moral/religious/family decline, poverty/hunger/homelessness, national security, international issues, problems, environment/pollution, crime/violence, the media, education, school shootings, drugs, judicial system/courts/laws, welfare, terrorism, wars/war (nonspecific)/fear of war, situation with North Korea, children's behavior/way they are raised, care for the elderly/Medicare, and elections/election reform.

Russia?

Never heard of it.

Gallup did not take a poll, but I am pretty sure that after Pearl Harbor, Americans felt Japan was the most important problem facing the country.

We have the worst media in the world.

Pravda would be better than these clueless slaves to the Democratic Party and the Deep State.

Talking incessantly about Russia on the news is like ESPN devoting 24 hours each day to curling.

Network news - not so much.

  2. Old data, but the point is it's the Home Front that concerns people.

And I'm betting we're going to find out the latest desperation ploy flopped, too.

  3. Australia's pioneer blogger Tim Blair is just back from a few weeks in the US, and found that most Americans are happy with the job Trump is doing and getting on with their lives.

  4. It's the economy, (stupid). Record employment beats the boogie man every time.

  5. Media has lost control of the narrative priority. They are like insane people yelling at a passerby on the street ie something to get away from not listen to.

  6. Mainstream media brain washing is much more of a concern than the Russians.

  7. I confess to having a bit of bad taste when it comes to some movies. One of my old favorites is Scary Story. In one part a girl is walking along carrying a hero sandwich talking to her friends when approached by a guy who asks her for a dollar so he can get something to eat. She hands him the sandwich and starts to walk away. He comes back and slaps her with the sandwich saying, "I said a dollar!"

Our news media are that guy. Only less polite.

  8. We just got insight into a Russian operative trading sex and money with the GOP.

After Trump won, she messages Torshin that she is "ready for further orders". Later she messages about who she thinks will be Secretary of State and wants to know how "our people" feel about that person.

The building is on fire. Burn victims are jumping out of windows. The dutiful Trump traitors are here to tell us there's nothing to see. It's just getting interesting.

  9. Pretty clear from Ms. Butina's indictment that US Person 1 is NRA/GOP stooge Paul Erickson. Apparently cohabitation with Paul was just part of the job (she complained about it). If US Person 2 turns out to be idiot former Sheriff David Clarke, Christmas really will have come in July. We already know she's funded his 6 day trip to Russia. Mr. Clarke did happen to file for divorce in February. Nothing to see here folks.....

    1. Unwittingly talking to and even dating a spy is no crime, sonny.

But don't let facts get in your way.

    2. The only difference between the John Birch Society and the Democrat Party is that instead of looking Russians under their beds the Dems are looking for them in their opponent's beds.

    3. If Russia wants to prove that, as Putin said, they have the best prostitutes in the world, by sending their finest women here to please us, get back to me with the problem.

If no Ds have been afflicted, it's probably because Putin, no longer a communist, hasn't the heart to send Russian young men or Russian children to have done to them what the Democratic elites like to do.

    4. What does a guy have to do to get a pretty spy um, "on his case?" I've long been a Life Member of the NRA, but haven't even got one buxom blonde, brunette or redhead to show for it, and it's just not fair!

BTW- the NRA membership fee is going up soon, so get one while they're hot (but don't expect a cute Russian spy with your membership. That only happens in the #FakeMedia "news.")

Oh, one more thing- is there any evidence that this woman is actually a Russian spy? Or is it just another thing we're supposed to take on faith and the "good reputation" of the FIBs?

  10. Maybe my memory is a little foggy but i dont recall one time during the 8 long years of oboxo admin hearing anything about any threat from Russia. Now suddenly Putin is the devil himself and Russia has the icbms warming up in the bullpen. Right. The media beclowns itself hourly with its TDS and its not getting better for them and wait until November

  11. I'm becoming convinced that this is just another Democrat propaganda effort. The important words repeated endlessly are 'influenced, intruded, meddled'-- but no one ever says what they actually did to influence. Oh the DNC computers, John Podesta's computers, and of course Hillary's servers, but what did they get from them and how did it effect the election? Never mentioned. But the actions, combined with the traitorous, unpatriotic, etc. etc. is expected to influence voters in the upcoming election. Propaganda!

    1. To paraphrase Hawkeye Pierce of MASH, let's avoid the Christmas rush and start distrusting this narrative now. It's on the same level as the Two Scoops "scandal."

If they had anything they would be sober and actually show us the money. If Mueller had anything he would have shown us by now. With all this a-treasing and a-betraying a-going on, would he and his crack team really be spending two years and more, playing with their food? No, they would have put forward one case by now, which they would have tried, and won.

Poop or get off the pot, scandalmongers. You got nothing and will get nothing because there is nothing to get.

  12. this russia russia russia hysteria the last 18 months has largely cured me of my political obsession. I still care about MAJOR political stories. But this Russia thing is a nothingburger that only hard partisans and the national media care about. Few if any votes will change because of this. Any time I see 'russia mueller' etc I just keep scrolling.
