Terms of surrender

President Trump and Kim Jong Un signed a terse agreement after their historic meeting in Singapore.

"They’re going to get rid of certain ballistic missile sites and various other things. We’re gonna put that out later. But we have the framework of getting ready to denuclearize North Korea," President Trump told ABC News.

The key points from the agreement:
President Trump and Chairman Kim Jong Un conducted a comprehensive, in-depth and sincere exchange of opinions on the issues related to the establishment of new US-DPRK relations and the building of a lasting and robust peace regime on the Korean Peninsula. President Trump committed to provide security guarantees to the DPRK, and Chairman Kim Jong Un reaffirmed his firm and unwavering commitment to complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
Convinced that the establishment of new US-DPRK relations will contribute to the peace and prosperity of the Korean Peninsula and of the world, and recognizing that mutual confidence building can promote the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, President Trump and Chairman Kim Jong Un state the following:
  1. The United States and the DPRK commit to establish new US-DPRK relations in accordance with the desire of the peoples of the two countries for peace and prosperity.
  2. The United States and DPRK will join their efforts to build a lasting and stable peace regime on the Korean Peninsula.
  3. Reaffirming the April 27, 2018 Panmunjom Declaration, the DPRK commits to work toward complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula
  4. The United States and the DPRK commit to recovering POW/MIA remains, including the immediate repatriation of those already identified.
We also ended our war games.

As I said before, this deal is nukes for normalization.

Kim gets a McDonald's. We get to build a McDonald's in Pyongyang. Maybe we can build a Trump Tower Punggye-ri. I would love to hear the Left scream emoluments clause a time or two again before the 2020 election.

Abe and Moon are on board. They trusted President Trump. They were rewarded with peace at last.

The American press will get it all wrong. That's what they do.

From ABC's interview.

ABC: "Does that mean that any deal with North Korea has to be tougher than the Iran deal?"

President Trump: "I don’t think a deal could be softer. First of all, we’re not paying $150 billion, OK, we’re paying nothing from that standpoint other than, you will see what happens. I think there’s going to be a great partnership with Japan and South Korea. President Moon has been terrific."

ABC: "But they have to get-- "

President Trump: "President Abe has been terrific."

ABC: "But they have to get rid of all their nuclear weapons?"

President Trump: "They have to get rid of, yeah, I think that they will. I really believe that he will. I’ve gotten to know him well in a short period of time."

We gave up nothing. President Trump gave Kim his dignity. President Trump may be a foot taller but he did not treat Kim like a little person. The Rocket Man and the Dotard are equals.

Notice, President Trump is not bragging on this deal. He is letting the agreement speak for itself. For now. His one tweet was of their handshake. They talked before that handshake.

The hard part now comes for Kim. He must reverse 78 years of anti-American propaganda.

Forget Obama's sellout to Iran. The real comparison is Obama in Cuba. He went, normalized relations, and got nothing in return. Nada. Zilch.

Kim's nukes are in the past tense. He already ended and blew up the Mount Mantap nuke facility.

President Trump told ABC, "Yeah, he’s de-nuking, I mean he’s de-nuking the whole place. It’s going to start very quickly. I think he’s going to start now. They’ll be announcing things over the next few days talking about other missile sites because they were, as you know, they were sending out a lot of missiles. It was a period of time where I was saying, what are they doing? Every week it seems another missile going up. I mean, they're going to be getting rid of sites."

(Mark Knoller, CBS News White House Correspondent, tweeted that Kim is the 70th head of state that President Trump has met privately. Wow.)

But I wonder why it took Kim getting nukes to bring an end to the Korean War.

I get that the Cold War made this impossible, but why didn't Clinton do this? Bush 43? Obama? I suspect they relied on experts. I suspect Condoleezza Rice and Madeleine Albright are affirmative action fools. We know Hillary is dumber. Never mistake her obsession with vengeance for intelligence. John Kerry is dumber than Hillary.

President Trump found out what Kim wanted and gave it to him in exchange for nukes, which may have been taken out last September by Mother Nature, North Korean incompetence, or the U.S. Navy.

We do not know the whole story. Wait 50 years. I'll be gone by then.

But I do know what diplomacy is. In this case, it was getting Kim to surrender without losing face.

Now to get Chairman Xi on board. That will take some work.

  1. I can guarantee you with 100 percent absolute certainty that President Donald Trump will not be building any luxury resort hotels or condos in North Korea. There is zero chance and no one should suggest otherwise.

His sons run that part of the business. They are going to be the ones building luxury hotel-casinos, golf courses, and condos over there. And they will be beautiful.

  2. President Trump may be a foot taller but he did not treat Kim like a little person.

Can you imagine Zippy, or Hillary, doing that?

  3. A key point made here is the stakes for Japan and South Korea.
Think of Japan: North Korea has (had) nukes. And North Korea has missiles that can pass over Japan and land on the other side. That tells you all you need to know: Japan is a target and remains a target till the situation is defused.

  4. Kim and Trump are not equals in any way and to say so is incorrect.
The real 'deal'involves super accurate verification of nuke abandonment. Without it Trump will have wasted his time. If one hotel or McDonald's is built before this happens he will never get Senate approval for a "treaty" and the whole exercise will be no different than the Iran deal, just cut rate. If Trump can pull this off, he will deserve a permanent place in the books.

    1. They ate equals as heads of state, no matter how they achieved that status.

The nukes are already destroyed. See the fourth from last paragraph. I am betting on the Navy/rods from god.

    2. In the Senate, no matter what, Every Democrat will vote against Any type of treaty put forth by the President.

    3. Not really. His test facility was damaged from the internal impact of his own nukes. Radiation escaped and drifted over China hence the reaction from Xi. No rods, no SEALS, both fairy tales. No one from the west even saw the inside.of the place after he destroyed it.
The real problem are the bombs he has made and has been making for years. Many have been miniturized or even multiplexed to fit on missles. In fact it was the revelation of this ability which triggered Trump to tighten sanctions and go after Kim aggressively. Where these devices are is the issue. You can bet they will not be easy to find nor will they be given up without a price, if they ever are. Fortunately the triggers for them deteriorate so there may be a shelf life. Trump may have to settle for no missiles rather than the certainty of no nukes. I hope he don't quit on the whole enchilada myself.
The word Equals Don used was not used in a qualified way. As such it is incorrect. If Kim thought he was an equal he would never have bowed to circumstances in order to meet DT. Trump treated him well because it was in his interest to do so. The USA and NK are not equals and never will be unless we have 20 years of Democrats.

  5. Listen to Rodman interview with "Cummo". Very interesting. NK has always been screwed with by previous administrations. Keep tensions high for MIComplex.
Trump straight shooter, antithesis of MIC. I think Kim reads Trump accurately and will play it straight for great result.

    1. I loved watching that interview!

Dennis Rodman, wearing a MAGA cap, telling Cuomo how he'd been brushed off by President Choom, and Cuomo had to swallow and take it! No defense of President Empty-Suit was possible.

Watching Rodman was good, and his sincerity impressed me. Then Cuomo turned to that new hire at CNN, the ex- Director of National Intelligence, the traitor James Clapper. I do hope that he'll be indicted soon for his role in Spygate.

How ironic that Rodman was called "The Worm" as a basketball player, while Clapper is a real-life worm who deserves prison!

  6. I've seen posts, by leftists, which pillory Trump for treating Kim Jong Un as an equal. "He's a tyrant and has killed thousands" they say. I'd be happy if Trump shined Kim's shoes if it brings an end to the threat of war in Korea.

    1. Yeah, Mad. Felt like it was gettin kinda close there for a while. Although I have no problem with the greater LA area being vaporized.

    2. Hey, zregime, that's getting too close to home (I'm just outside of San Diego.)

If any nuking is to be done, I'd prefer Mecca. Lots of cockroaches there, and if Rocketman wants to take care of that problem I'm cool with it!

  7. So, nobody is saying, but is the war finally over? I think that needs to be addressed at some time before we start normalization with the Norks.

  8. I got a laugh out of the Leftist media who had a "body language expert" analyze the Trump-Kim handshake and then report that Trump was tense. Next up Madame Zelda with her crystal ball to report on the actual contents of the agreement.

  9. " this deal is nukes for normalization."
    Yes ...
yet also "Kim stays in power; US/ Trump guarantees it".

The Dem Trump haters will be calling Trump bad for making a deal with a murderer.

No nukes in NoKo is a win, a big win.

  10. The reason all those so-called "smart diplomats" did squat since the end of the cold war was because the only game they knew how to play was the cold war. They perpetuated that game because playing it was how they make their living.

President Trump burst the damned balloon. The game of "international relations" is about as pointlessly stupid as the kind of clubs kids form in elementary school so they can make up rules.

When you look past all the pageantry of diplomacy, "international relations" of the last seventy-seven years (since Lend-Lease passed in the spring of '41) has been nothing more than redistributing wealth from American taxpayers to just about every other country in the world.

  11. Aside from a few useful secretaries and ambassadors there are still way too many Obama holdovers and incompetent boobs at Foggy Bottom. Let the drawdown continue. - Elric
