Fake News backfires

When I saw the cover of Time magazine with a girl crying at President Trump, I knew it was Fake News and not just because it was photoshopped. Instinctively, I knew the girl was not an illegal alien torn from her mother.

Of course I was right.

The news media in America is populated by congenital liars who are just not that good at propaganda.

But they try, bless their hearts.

England's Daily Mail broke the story that busted Time magazine. The media outsourced the truth to a London tabloid best known for gossip and cleavage.

"The father of the Honduran girl who became the face of the family separation crisis has revealed that he still has not been in touch with his wife or daughter but was happy to learn they are safe," the Daily Mail reported.

"Denis Javier Varela Hernandez, 32, said that he had not heard from his wife Sandra, 32, who was with his two-year-old daughter Yanela Denise, for nearly three weeks until he saw the image of them being apprehended in Texas.

"In an exclusive interview with, Hernandez, who lives in Puerto Cortes, Honduras, says that he was told on Wednesday by a Honduran official in the US that his wife and child are being detained at a family residential center in Texas but are together and are doing fine."

Kids cry. They get tired. They hurt themselves. They get scared. They get told no. Crying is how babies communicate. Eventually, they learn to talk and outgrow it.

Liars assign motives to the tears.

Ed Morrissey of Hot Air did a nice take out of Time magazine's lying, but I am bored with the subject of the Fake News media because the lies are ubiquitous.

Time magazine knew this was a fake. Lying is what it is supposed to do. Time-Warner keeps the magazine around as a propaganda tool to promote corporate interests. Bringing down President Trump is a corporate mission.

This lie fit the pattern. Distort the story. Leave out key facts such as this was Obama's policy and is federal law. Fake facts.

But this works. Or has worked in the past. Splash on Page One that President Trump suppressed a climate change report and watch the greens go bonkers. Bury the correction days later on Page Z.

However, the crying kid caper backfired. Most Americans blame the parents, not President Trump.

All the media has is its credibility.

  1. You know, I think that the world would be a better place if all political activists began their televised speeches with two simple words.

    “Hi, Mom!”

  2. "Had" may be exactly true -- but they keep doing it and scoring sometimes and failing others (but, way too often, bringing GOPe on board to condemn themselves). We need to finally win this -- and maybe Trump can be the one to make it the 2018 debate: Do we want to deal with reality or shoved this way and that by the emotional media for their tears and emmy's?

    1. Took took the words right oughta my mouth, Keith.

  3. Meanwhile, Grassley continues to get closer to The Truth, Trey Gowdy gets the FBI IG to admit there’s corruption at the Bureau, and Jim Comey is “out of the country.” Another great deflection by the MSM.

    1. Did Comey need to have his passport and a visa in order to visit a field in Iowa where he took a selfie of himself? Iowa is a foreign country and no longer one of our 57 states now?

    2. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Too many politicians use Him as a stalking horse or for their own ends. They don'the care about; they are pragmatists who care only about what works. Our task politically is to show them it won't work any more.

  4. When you stop to think that every program or accomplishment claimed by the left is based on a lie or is a lie itself and that these invariably involve transfers of money, you have the biggest scam in history.

We have a lot of work to do and a lot to destroy.

    1. Amen to that, Doc. The first, best thing to do is VOTE. Anything after that is gravy.

  5. If Time magazine told the truth:
Honduran woman kidnaps kids from husband (no amber alert issued), takes all their savings to give to human traffickers....

  6. Glad you changed that verb to past tense, "had".

  7. If they only knew that the truth would set them free.

  8. Trying to emulate the Palestinian propaganda arm and failing miserably.

    1. WTFAQ are yo talking about? Palestinian propaganda? How about the criminal Zionist propaganda playing victim hood while massacring Palestinians?

  9. "England's Daily Mail broke the story that busted Time magazine. The media outsourced the truth to a London tabloid best known for gossip and cleavage."

It's sad that we get better and more accurate news from a tabloid best known for gossip and cleavage. - GOC

  10. Since the Honduran woman was reportedly deported once before in an earlier solo attempt to illegally enter the US, will she be prosecuted for entering illegally again as the law prescribes? As everyone here probably knows by now, she wants to live the "American dream" so on this try she took her daughter along to use as a prop and is claiming "asylum" because she knows that gets her at least a temporary stay in the US. The press probably know all this too, but the Fake News cannot be swayed by facts that contradict The Narrative.
