Zero tolerance at the border

Jeff Sessions may look like he makes Keebler cookies, but he is tougher than nails. He announced on Friday a zero tolerance policy for border-jumping illegal aliens.

(Clip of Texas National Guard announcing it is headed to the border.)

The president ordered up the National Guard.

Sessions is doing his part.

"The situation at our Southwest Border is unacceptable. Congress has failed to pass effective legislation that serves the national interest -- that closes dangerous loopholes and fully funds a wall along our southern border," Sessions said.

Prosecutors will work with Homeland Security on this.

"To those who wish to challenge the Trump Administration’s commitment to public safety, national security, and the rule of law, I warn you: illegally entering this country will not be rewarded, but will instead be met with the full prosecutorial powers of the Department of Justice," Sessions said.

Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said, "We will not allow illegal immigration levels to become the norm. More than 1,000 people a day, 300,000 a year violating our sovereignty as a nation will never be acceptable to this president."

Previous presidents failed to protect our borders.

Hello? That's what the job is. Instead of protecting the border, they taxed Americans and legal residents to feed, clothe, and educate the lawbreaking border jumpers and their children.

It's as if people who hate our country ran the government.

Well, we know we have patriots in charge now. Zero tolerance should not be a new policy. It is how it should have been all along.

Was there some doubt? If so, how would their policies and actions have been any different?

    1. That is exactly what happened under the Obama Regime.

  2. Well, there was some question whether Jugears' actions/inactions were due to malice or incompetence. Why not both?

  3. Zero tolerance sounds good but it costs more to keep illegal aliens in custody than to just set them up on welfare, food stamps, Medicaid, housing allowances, etc. The only real way to solve the problem is to immediately send them straight back- the first time. If they are caught re-entering - summary execution. THAT is deterrence. Not a jail cell that is more comfortable that the place they came from. - Elric

    1. 10 or 20 mile strip along the border. We catch you there, you get on a bus. No detention, no lawyer, no trial, no, you get on the bus.

  4. So how long before some judge issues a dictat negating border protection?
Hmm. If one judge can issue a ruling that blocks an Administration decision, can another judge issue a ruling that countermands the first judge's?

    1. Good point. There are probably several leftist judges scrambling to be the first to issue the ruling. And none of them will have jurisdiction on the southern border.

  6. I'll be impressed when the Feds build a yuuuuge detention center in the Chihuahuan Desert to hold the illegals they catch as they sneak across the border. Until then, the DoJ doesn't have the resources to do much, or even have the law on its side. Jeff Beauregard is just huffing and puffing. Meanwhile, the groups who organize these mass assaults on our border and the coyotes who are paid good money to smuggle people into the US from countries as far away as Bangladesh are just laughing at us because they know how to game the system. And the corrupt government of Mexico is laughing right along with them.

  7. How long before some SJW-in-Chief tells Trump, “Hey, you can’t use the National Guard for that!”

Trump: “For what? To guard the nation?”

  8. Session said immigrants, "... illegally entering this country will not be rewarded..."

Does that mean no more food stamps, Section 8 housing, TANF, free cell phones, free childcare, etc. for these CRIMINAL ALIENS?
