Bragging Schumer admits Trump is best

Chuck Schumer boasted about his Democratic Party's help in passing a budget resolution that keeps the government going until mid-September. To listen to him brag, Congress never before passed a spending bill in its 229-year history.

But Schumer's self-congratulations revealed just how President Trump has dismantled the Obama Legacy.

"It’s a funny thing. In a certain sense, we’re able to accomplish more in the minority than we were when we had the presidency or even were in the majority," Schumer said.

Really, what was it Democrats accomplished?

Not one of them voted for the tax cuts that will help and expand the middle class by letting them keep more of the money they sweat to get.

Expanding the middle class with its volunteerism and self-reliance makes people less dependent upon government, and much more likely to vote Republican.

And what about Obamacare? To President Trump's surprise, Republicans had no plan to repeal and replace Obmacare. It was all talk. That is why Trump dumped Tom Price as health and human services secretary.

But Trump is undoing the bad parts of the bill with his pen and phone. True, a Democratic president will undo that, but remember, Schumer is claiming that he is better off with a Republican president.

Maybe Schumer thinks Merrick Garland is on the Supreme Court. That didn't happen. Republicans stopped that appointment and under Trump, confirmed Neil Gorsuch.

To be sure, there has been an attempted coup-de-liars with the whole Bob Mueller witch hunt.

But that is backfiring as the investigation has exposed the Democratic Party's politicization and abuse of the FBI and national security agencies.

Obama's big accomplishments were nukes for the two remaining partner in the Axis of Evil -- North Korea and Iran. Trump is undoing that, too.

Sadly, Trump cannot undo Obama's bombing and overthrow of Qaddafi, which led to the rise of the Islamic State.

But the Islamic State is pretty much dead as a physical nation. Allied forces liberated Raqqa and Aleppo, towns that fell on Obama's watch.

America is better under President Trump, but I don't think the Democratic Party is.

But since Democrats they are doing so well as a minority party with a Republican president, let us keep things that way.

  1. The budget is until the end of the fiscal year, the end of September. Then it begins all over again. So six months is correct.
Unless someone wants to experiment once more with government shutdown; that always rebounds back on the initiating party, damaging that party, as Chuck the Schmuck learned earlier this year.
You may guess how all members of Congress will act at the end of September knowing that an election is about six weeks away.

  2. I had to remind myself, what DJT signed is not a budget, but an Omnibus Spending Bill. It's basically an advisory on what the Uniparty wants funded and how much. Time for DJT to decide to unfund Planned Parenthood,
Schumer's tunnel in NY, etc. and let Ryan McConnell gnash their teeth, wail and clutch their pearls.

    1. Indeed!

    2. Schumer's tunnel in NY

I hate to say it, but the Gateway Project funding is essential to the region and beyond.

  3. I recon the dems will be smiling out the other side of their face come November.Trump will demand the wall and anything else that tickles his fancy then let the dumocrats shut down the government two months out. Armed with the names of swamp dwelling republicans that don't go with him he will spend the millions he has in his coffers to do a giant swamp drain. All the while the dumocrats will be taking the blame for being the idiot losers they are for the shutdown. Remember, " I will never sign a bill like this again"

  4. When they passed a spending bill last fall didn't Nancy and Schumer crow about how they took the President to the cleaners. Then they found out the Individual Mandate was killed in the bill. DACA decision was delayed until March. They lost big time...

    1. And then some Obama-Clinton Judges gutted the DACA recind EO by Trump.

  5. People are either declaring Trump brilliant in snookering the Dems, or that this is an unmitigated disaster of epic proportions.

I have learned enough not to dismiss Trump out of hand when he does something that at first glance I do not like, but on this I am going to have to see actual progress before I start declaring how brilliant he is. If that makes me a doubting Thomas so be it.
