The Nunes Memo is the blockbuster that should result in a special investigation of Hillary, the principals at Fusion GPS, and scores of Department of Justice flunkies who colluded to fix the 2016 election.
Fortunately, besides their incompetence is equal to their lack of patriotism.
Obama used dubious opposition research to get a warrant to allow him and his henchmen in national security to spy on Donald Trump's campaign in 2016. This is Watergate on Steroids.
Byron York -- a pundit who is a darned good reporter -- outlined what is in the memo:
* The Steele dossier formed an essential part of the initial and all three renewal FISA applications against Carter Page.
* Andrew McCabe confirmed that no FISA warrant would have been sought from the FISA Court without the Steele dossier information.
* The political origins of the Steele dossier were known to senior DOJ and FBI officials, but excluded from the FISA applications.
* DOJ official Bruce Ohr met with Steele beginning in the summer of 2016 and relayed to DOJ information about Steele's bias. Steele told Ohr that he, Steele, was desperate that Donald Trump not get elected president and was passionate about him not becoming president. He posted the whole memo as well.
I remember Watergate.
I voted for McGovern because of Watergate.
This, sir, is no Watergate; it is 10 times worse.
The Obama Scandal is the abuse of power by a president and his operatives to undermine the election -- and then to sabotage the regime change.
The release of the memo confirms the former.
We have known about the latter for a long time.
"Federal workers turn to encryption to thwart Trump," read the headline in Politico. "Agency employees are turning to Signal and other incognito forms of communication to express their dissent."
The story was dated February 2 -- 2017.
The Democratic Party, mainstream media, and thousands of political operatives in our federal government have spent the past year-plus sabotaging the peaceful transfer of power.
They seek to undermine our republic by replacing our elective process with a permanent bureaucracy of elitists controlled by Democrats, regardless of whom we elect. This is the government Patrick Henry feared, and James Madison tried to prevent.
"Federal employees worried that President Donald Trump will gut their agencies are creating new email addresses, signing up for encrypted messaging apps and looking for other, protected ways to push back against the new administration’s agenda," Politico reported.
"Whether inside the Environmental Protection Agency, within the Foreign Service, on the edges of the Labor Department or beyond, employees are using new technology as well as more old-fashioned approaches — such as private face-to-face meetings — to organize letters, talk strategy, or contact media outlets and other groups to express their dissent."
The story described rogue, six-figure-salaried bureaucrats with nothing better to do all day than sit around hating our president and the deplorable people who defiantly elected him.
Democrats resist the Constitution.
That's what the "resistance" is about. Its very name implies the threat of violence. After all, this is the party that believes in "by any means possible."
Democrat John Wilkes Booth assassinated Lincoln. Democrat Nathan Forrest formed the Ku Klux Klan to resist the Republican takeover of the South during the Reconstruction. And today's Democrats carry on that violent tradition: one Democrat shot and almost killed Republican House Whip Steve Scalise, and another Democrat attacked Senator Rand Paul, breaking his ribs.
The media plays the resistance as noble.
It is unAmerican.
Anti-democratic.
Subversive.
"While many workers across the federal government are still in wait-and-see mode, the first two weeks of the Trump administration — with its flurry of executive orders that have in some cases upended lives — have sent a sobering message to others who believe they must act now," Politico reported one year ago today.
"In recent days, career employees at the State Department gathered nearly 1,000 signatures for what’s known as a Dissent Channel memo, in which they express their anger over a Trump executive order that bars immigrants from seven Muslim-majority countries and halts refugee admissions to the country. The number of signatures was extraordinarily high, even though the letter was submitted after White House spokesman Sean Spicer essentially warned the dissenting diplomats they were risking their jobs."
This is mutinous, and unacceptable. Find the Dissent Channel list, fire them all, and prosecute where necessary.
Oh, and definitely use the Nunes Memo to launch an investigation into the criminality of Barack Obama and his staff.
Then, reduce the staffing and numbers of national security agencies. We now have 17. Cut the FBI staffing and retrofit it to a mainly support role for local and state agencies.
Power corrupts. The weak are more susceptible, which explains why Hillary and Obama are at the head of the list of corruption in America.

Good news.
"Fake News Follies of 2017" will be available on Kindle on February 6.
Order it here.
The paperback edition is on sale now.
I want to thank the news media for its help in writing my new book, because I could not have written it without their lies, spinning, and cover-ups.
Autographed copies are available. Email me at DonSurber@GMail.com for details. I am including a "director's cut." I'll email you back the original Chapter 1 that I cut because while the chapter was amusing, it really had nothing to do with the "Fake News Follies of 2017."
Ben Garrison did the cover and I am so happy with it. I told him what the book was about, sent him a copy of the manuscript, and he came up with a perfect cover. I am so pleased.
The Memo certainly confirms all the allegations that have been made regarding the spurious nature of the original FISA warrants. Time for Perp Walks.
ReplyDeleteGee. I wished that Pres Trump would delay release of "The Memo"(TM) until during the Super Bowl. Maybe just before the National Anthem, and cause all sorts of "Oh Noes!!11!! Which do we report?"
ReplyDeleteDan, I hear what you're saying- but think about it: if the #FakeNews media gets to decide whether to cover the Super Bowl or "The Memo," then all we'll see on every channel for the next month is football!
DeleteIt's like Iowahawk said, "Journalism is about covering stories. With a pillow. Until they stop moving."
"Cut the FBI staffing and retrofit it to a mainly support role for local and state agencies."
ReplyDeleteLocal and state police departments are not authorized or obligated to investigate crimes under Federal laws, of which there are far more than the Founding Fathers anticipated. To reduce the power of the Federal police state, you first must eliminate the many Federal laws that authorize the various national police forces we now have that are run by different Federal agencies.
I said mainly.
DeleteCongress needs to start the process by eliminating the plethora of Federal laws it has passed over the years. After that, the FBI can be downsized to fit its smaller mission.
DeleteHere I tend to agree with Anonymous (that's a change!) because we have far too many Federal laws, and many of those are flatly and blatantly unConstitutional as well.
DeleteIt is infuriating that a person can lose their God-given and Constitutionally protected rights by breaking such a law, and this must be addressed!
We have a U.S. Marshall's service, disarm all the rest. The I stands for Investigation, allow them to investigate crimes, but no powers of arrest.
DeleteThere's nothing in the memo that we didn't already know from the efforts of some good reporters on the Hill. And while embarrassing to some, in particular James Comey and Rod Rosenstein, both of whom authorized renewals of the FISA warrants on the basis of Steele's fabrications (and then conspired to have Mueller appointed as Special Counsel in order to bring down Trump), there's nothing in the memo that impacts "national security." This is DC kabuki theater as usual.
ReplyDeleteWe now know that Steele hated Donald Trump with a vengeance, and did not want him to become POTUS. We now know that the FBI knew they had nothing legitimate to get a FISA warrant, so they dressed up the Dossier - which they could not verify. FBI officials purposely withheld information from the FISA Court Judge as to the fact that the document was not a result of investigation, but was rather a hit piece on candidate (and later President Trump) paid for by the opposition party and their candidate.
DeleteFBI officials lied to the FISA Court Judge in the same way the the MSM lies to the American people daily...and they will lie about this memo.
- Ken
I wrote that there is nothing in the memo that *WE* didn't already know. What the court knew and what the FBI may have hidden from them is another matter. IMO reporters had already made a very good case before today that the FISA application hid the fact that the dossier was the fruit of DNC oppo research. BTW, if you really want to know what the FBI told the court each time it applied for permission to spy on Page, you (or someone you can trust) will have to see the applications themselves. I doubt the public will get to read those documents in my lifetime.
DeleteThose FBI officials should be sacked. Whatever happens after they're in those sacks...
DeleteThe political origins of the Steele dossier were known to senior DOJ and FBI officials, but excluded from the FISA applications.
ReplyDeleteThis constitutes withholding of evidence.
Ask Mike Nifong how that works out. It should lead to disbarment.
DeleteAnd bankruptcy. :)
DeleteIt is nice to imagine that Obama will be held accountable for all of this, but what it finally comes down to is that he created an atmosphere where public servants (HA!) decided that it was OK to actively work against the seating of a duly elected President, and then to actively work against that same President when he took office. Yes, some people need to be prosecuted, but the only real crime I see is perjury in omission when filing for the FISA warrant.
ReplyDeleteIt's more than that, Tim, Once they had the information, they used it to attempt to sway the election.
DeleteThat would be no different than burning the Reichstag, then getting them to hand over all power to the Chancellor. This was an attempt to seize control of the government and shut We the People out of it. Treason in my book.
Federal employees ... are creating new email addresses, signing up for encrypted messaging apps ...”
ReplyDeleteBenedict Arnold must’ve wished for such communications technology.
What will Sessions do? Or has he escaped to the State of red mud already? McCabe quit, Comey was fired, the husband of the GPS employee who's name I forget was demoted. They suffered, the appeasers will say, let them rest!
ReplyDeleteWill he go after Rosenstein his supposed subordinate, but who, at his own request, has almost more defacto power than does he,or Mueller, the last official Democrat assassin at large, display the guts to call himself no longer "recused"?
Will Trump get unequivocal backing from his own party or will they instead standby until 21 wounds from Deep State daggers are counted in his Toga Candida? Will they encourage Sessions to proscribe the lying conniver Obama, so stirring up his Media Tribunes to hysteria, risking unpopularity for themselves in 18?
What a time for courage or cowardice! Nunes should receive the Medal of Freedom from Trump himself in a ceremony honoring him alone, with no chaff standing beside him, in the Oval.
Yes, bravo Rep Nunes!
DeleteGood to see a Repub who is on the side of the People.

"Obama used dubious opposition research to get a warrant to allow him and his henchmen in national security to spy on Donald Trump's campaign in 2016."
ReplyDeleteCarter Page had already left the Trump campaign before the FISA warrant was applied for.
Which time? Don't forget, there were TWO applications in 2016.
DeleteThe time when information from the Steele dossier was included in the application.
DeletePerfect timing for the release of the leaked daily diary by Russians at mrsclintonsdiary.com A whole year's worth of daily entries explains it all
ReplyDeleteI will not hold my breath to see what happens after this. What I hope will happen and reality could be light years apart.
ReplyDeleteThese criminals need to be dealt with and see the inside of a prison cell. Until such punishment is meted out, this behavior will not stop. And not just for the criminals listed today, but the Hillary Clinton's, Huma's, Pedesta's, Loretta Lynch's, Eric Holder's, Susan Rices's and Samantha Power's, etc. of the world. I would add Bathhouse Barry to the list, but that will never happen. But it should.
Forrest did not for the Klan. Forrest not only never admitted to being part of the Klan, he steadfastly denied ever being a part of it. The Klan was formed long before Forrest was rumored to have become a leader and the Klan did not become the resistance movement it was until the Radical Republicans turned reconstruction into a corrupt military occupation of the south.
ReplyDeleteThe Klan was only one of several movements that grew in response to the radical republicans corruption. The corruption we are seeing in the DimoKKKRat Party these days is actually in the same vein as that of the Radical Republicans during reconstruction. It took them a hundred years or so, but they finally absorbed the lessons of the early GOP.
I don't think Trump will call for the prosecution we all want. It will have to come from the Republican leadership. If those weasels don't come through for us they need to be replaced.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Washington. The man, not the city.
ReplyDeleteI used to be with Washington, the state, not the man or city. It's a horrible shame it's careening down the road to hell California has paved "with good intentions."
DeleteIt must now be clear with the release of the Nunes memo that the modern Democrat Party is a criminal enterprise and should be charged as such under RICO statutes. The Clinton sale of uranium to a Russian company was not legitimate but an overt act of treason for money. The Rosenbergs committed treason at least for a twisted ideology. The Clintons...always the money.
ReplyDeleteFaux News Channel can play sad trombone music over their hype of the dud memo. Nothingburger with a side of nothing. Is that all you got? The orange fraud looks ever more desperate.
ReplyDeleteYour tears are sweet to us.
DeleteI believe the slogan they use isn't "by any means possible" but rather "by all means necessary;" I'm not sure which is worse, but what they imply is right out of Nazi Germany and the USSR.
ReplyDelete---Fred
Way to stick to a narrative.
