Indictment shows Mueller has nothing

As another indictment comes through, I am convinced that former FBI director Robert Mueller is conducting a criminal cover-up rather than an investigation.

Mueller knows that Barack Obama and the Democratic Party used our national security apparatus to spy on the political opposition. Under the guise of investigating that Fake Russian dossier, Mueller and his team of high-end Democratic lawyers are covering up Obama's tracks.

This is just like James Comey and the FBI helped Hillary and her squalid squad of subordinates destroy evidence that should have sent her to prison for exposing State secrets to anyone with a modem.

Mueller throws the media bones all the time as he distracts attention from the lack of any evidence that Vladimir Putin conspired with Donald Trump to throw the 2016 election.

That is not Mueller's purpose.

But he has to hide his cover-up. And he is good at it. That whole story about FBI agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page being lovers provides a nice cover for their politicization of the bureau.

Maybe the FBI has always been politicized because one thing Trump does is expose evil. He is exorcising the American political system from stem to stern. No one said draining the swamp would be easy. The stakes are high. The enemy is entrenched.

And we are not really sure who to trust. Rod Rosenstein, deputy attorney general, hired Mueller.

But the cards are dealt and must be played to win.

Mueller is a particularly vain and undignified man. He took over the FBI a week before 9/11.

"He led the investigation into the deadly anthrax attacks in the years after 9/11 for nearly seven years, ultimately leading in the prosecution of the wrong suspect, who later successfully sued the government for $5.8 million," Newsweek reported.

Last week, Mueller indicted 13 Russians for (among other things) pranking a guy into wishing their boss a happy birthday. From the indictment:
For example, on or about May 29, 2016, Defendants and their co-conspirators, through an ORGANIZATION-controlled social media account, arranged for a real U.S. person to stand in front of the White House in the District of Columbia under false pretenses to hold a sign that read “Happy 55th Birthday Dear Boss.” Defendants and their co-conspirators informed the real U.S. person that the sign was for someone who “is a leader here and our boss . . . our funder.” PRIGOZHIN’s Russian passport identifies his date of birth as June 1, 1961.
Good gravy.

Mueller does not have jurisdiction in Russia. He knows that. Obviously, this indictment is a distraction from the fact that he has nothing on Trump or his campaign.

Today, Bloomberg reported, "Alex Van Der Zwaan was charged Feb. 16 in federal court in Washington with lying to investigators about conversations related to a report he helped prepare on the trial of a Ukrainian politician, Yulia Tymoshenko. Van Der Zwaan was charged with a criminal information, which typically precedes a guilty plea."

Um, why is Mueller investigating the Ukrainian election?

To be sure, Americans have meddled in Ukrainian elections for years.

In 2014, Politico reported, "Big-name American consultants are recruited to work in campaigns around the world, and Ukrainian politics, in particular, has a long history of luring top talent. Here are some of the American politicos and firms that have worked in the former Soviet republic.

"A longtime Democratic consultant, Devine worked on Al Gore’s presidential campaign in 2000 and John Kerry’s in 2004. He worked with Paul Manafort on Viktor Yanukovych’s 2010 presidential campaign, but backed away after the election, when Yanukovych began clamping down on dissent."

Mueller should shutter this investigation. There is nothing there.

An honest man by now would have issued a report exonerating President Trump, thus ending rumors that have plagued not just his presidency but hampered his foreign policy.

But we are dealing with a man trying to preserve and protect the everglades along the Potomac.

From Leslie Eastman's review at Legal Insurrection:
Surber, a recovering journalist with over 30 years of experience, has been cataloging the #FakeNews that has been regularly offered as serious analysis of President Donald Trump’s actions, policies, and opinions. He has brought his enormous collection together in the longest, most serious book he has yet written: Fake News Follies of 2017.
Fake News Follies of 2017 is available on Kindle and in paperback.

Autographed copies are available. Email me at for details. I am including a "director's cut." I will give you the original Chapter 1 that I cut because while the chapter was amusing, it really had nothing to do with the Fake News Follies of 2017.

  1. Has there ever been any doubt that the FBI has always been politicized?

  2. But wait, Big D, I was told this morning from no less than that journalistic colossus, Yahoo News, that Mueller has conducted a cunning and foolproof series of moves that will result in Trump's removal.

Yeah, the same Yahoo News that ran with the dossier story.

    Malpractice. Indict THEIR asses, Jeff.

  3. Even that idiotic charge of "false pretences" sounds ridiculous- are they asserting that since the guy stood in front of the WH on May 29, while "Dear Boss" real birthday was a day later, that this is false?

This whole thing is just silly! Makes them all look like yahoos- or maybe that's the point!

  4. I Saw where the fat slob Michael Moore attended a protest in front of the White House that one of the Russians organized! Fools all. Mueller investigation will go down in history as one of the biggest frauds ever.

  5. Too soon to say the turd Meuller has nothing. Might just be slowly climbing the fish ladder and timing his stuff for the 2018 elections. Beware early weak signs.

    1. I agree with this. He is a dirtbag who will not quit without some final assault of a very low moral order. Even if he absolves Trump the media will say the Russians helped him just as they are now. The goal is to weaken him so he can accomplish nothing more legislatively. But he may still appoint SC judges, their biggest fear. The senate is therefore more important than Muller for them. This they hope to derail with impeachment bullshit. 18 will be a watershed

  6. I agree that the recent indictments show Mueller has nothing. (Some have speculated that he's charged only people beyond his jurisdiction so that the weakness of the cases is never actually tested in court.)

What I'm wondering is why. FWIW, a random thought popped into my head: I think he's trying to do whatever he can before the Inspector General Horowitz's report comes out. I suspect that after that happens, Muller and his investigation will be toast.

I don't have any inside knowledge or anything. It just occurred to me.

    1. From your keyboard to God's flatscreen! -- BJ54

    2. Mueller is complicit in the Uranium One scandal (among other things) and is well aware that the Sword of Damocles is hanging over his head by a hair. Naming him Special Counsel has kept him busy spinning his wheels chasing shadows until the Day of Reckoning. - Elric

  7. Actually go watch these videos on conservativetreehouse and this will explain in detail what is and has been going on ,than pass them around or follow these two links, pass these around.

    1. An excellent pair of 7 min. videos, which cover all the ground up to date.

Now I'd like to hear the sound of handcuffs snapping shut on the miscreants who committed these crimes!

  8. Now that Mueller has got Alex Van Der Zwaan can Trump be far behind?
