People who should not be in the country are threatening to leave if we don't let them stay in the country.
As threats go, that is like being banned from Iran.

Daniela told the network, "Alex and I are both over this. If DACA ends, I will leave with Alex. I will close my business, leave work and school."
I would say this is taking your ball and going home, except neither Velez owns the ball.
"I will leave. I will leave America as soon as possible," Daniela said. "I want to be able to leave on my terms. I'm not going to be waiting for anyone to come for me."
The story goes on and on about her hurt feelings -- "In all honesty, it is scary to think about leaving. My mom cried for the first time since we talked about our situation. She's a positive person and is hoping that something good will happen for us" -- without bother trying to balance the story.
They have dual Ecuadoran and Venezuelan citizenship. That sort of undermines the narrative that they were brought here as babies and know no other home.
This is not journalism. It is an advertisement for open borders.
I trust there will be no deal.
I also think the Velez family will still be here a year from now.

What's completely missing today is that Pelosi was sacrificed at the Senate alter in Schumer's "Night of the Long Knives." She is done, and she knew it before deciding to abandon western civility (excluding France and Canada) and urinate in her Depends. She said goodbye on her hill yesterday, and MAGA moves ahead.
