CNN targets grandmother

I am not pulling punches on what Time-Warner through its CNN subsidiary did to Florine Gruen Goldfarb. The report was shameful and as rotten as can be.

Goldfarb should sue the network, the corporation, and CNN president Jeff Zucker for endangering her life by doxxing her. This is cyber-bullying disguised as news.

Doxxing is making private information public online for revenge.

CNN threatened a teenager with such exposure in July after it mistook him for the creator of a spoof video depicting President Trump wrestling and defeating CNN.

This time it crossed the line and entered the realm of targeting an individual because she is a Trump supporter who runs a pro-Trump page on Facebook.

"The unwitting: The Trump supporters used by Russia" was the premise of a story by Donie O'Sullivan, Drew Griffin and Scott Bronstein. (Donie is his preferred spelling.)

The network did not look at any Democratic Party supporters who were duped by Russian trolls. That list includes mega-millionaire Michael Moore.

O'Sullivan is a particularly loathsome person who revels in the power of CNN to dox innocent people. When CNN’s Andy Kaczynski -- aka KFile -- threatened to dox that teenage boy, O'Sullivan cheered his colleague on.

"This is great reporting by KFile. Horrible, racist keyboard warriors change tune once identified. I tracked down a guy who was trolling me recently. Once he realized I had identified him he apologized," O’Sullivan said.

That was in July. Seven months later, O'Sullivan got a chance to dox a little old lady in Florida.

"Florine Gruen Goldfarb runs the Team Trump Broward County Facebook page, which posted numerous times about events that were promoted and encouraged by the Russians. Speaking to CNN on Sunday, she said she didn't believe she was influenced by the Russians and said she thought that Friday's indictment was a ploy to distract from the FBI's mishandling of tip-offs it had received about the Parkland, Florida school shooter," O'Sulivan and his colleagues at CNN reported.

Never, ever talk to the press-- unless the reporter owes you money.

Journalists today cannot be trusted.

CNN tracked her down, showed up at her house, and proceeded to make her life miserable.

"After CNN published her full name, the woman received waves of abuse and harassment, with CNN consumers calling her a stupid old hag, a traitor, a treasonous hillbilly, ugly, and racist trash," Breitbart reported.

"The woman also received violent threats, with one user warning, 'stay in Florida, you come to NY and I’ll kick your Russian bot ass.'"

Goldfarb needs to get a lawyer and hold CNN accountable for endangering her life.

By the way, I devoted a chapter in Fake News Follies of 2017 to CNN threatening that kid with exposure last July.

I thought that was as creepy as it gets.

CNN just topped itself.

From Leslie Eastman's review at Legal Insurrection:
Surber, a recovering journalist with over 30 years of experience, has been cataloging the #FakeNews that has been regularly offered as serious analysis of President Donald Trump’s actions, policies, and opinions. He has brought his enormous collection together in the longest, most serious book he has yet written: Fake News Follies of 2017.
Fake News Follies of 2017 is available on Kindle and in paperback.

Autographed copies are available. Email me at DonSurber@GMail.com for details. I am including a "director's cut." I will give you the original Chapter 1 that I cut because while the chapter was amusing, it really had nothing to do with the Fake News Follies of 2017.

    1. Not a dupe, a full fledged agent. He may be a fool, but he was not "fooled" into serving communism.

    1. I've said for years that our side needs to start waging lawfare on the left. Sue them whenever you can. File charges. Make them spend the money, lose their savings to pay for lawyers.
They've done it for years to our side, they need to have sauce for the gander.

  3. Being a bully is no way to go through life. He needs a lawsuit against him. I wouldn't want to bully Him by calling him a lard butt but he is a lard butt.

  4. These are the people who had no problem making kissy-face with Saddam Hussein. Their ace reporter back when, Petah Ahnett, was a Hanoi stooge in the old days.

So, what the Hell else did you expect?

  5. All this Russia stuff is just more projection on the part of liberals. They spent over sixty years in the last century being shills for the Russians and giving each other Pulitzer prizes to whomever did the best job of translating commie lies into the English language, so they think everyone else is as stupid as they are.

I agree. They need to be sued. And we need conservative activist lawyers who are willing to make as big a show as Gloria Alred about it. The way to get the press to cover it is to start lynching one of them publicly whenever an announcement is about to be made. That'll get their attention.

  6. A major loss in a law suit may help Slow these ba$tards down, but I doubt it.

Every day I don’t think I can hate the media more, but they top themselves.

Washington Post attacking Billy Graham today is reaching new lows. Waiting now for MSNBC to up the ante.

  7. I'm sure that grandmother is happy to take up CNN's time if it keeps them from inciting the murder of police officers or promoting political assassination as has been their habit recently.

They've lost their professionalism, they've lost their moral bearings, they've lost their decency and they've just about lost their minds.

  8. Buy ammo.
They're trying to create a climate where your company fires you, where your neighbors shun you, where the letter carrier won't deliver your mail, where the pizza parlor won't serve you.

  9. Look, y'all. It is (and has been) clear that we now have an adversarial media. Just turn them off. My wife has even stopped watching David Muir! (I trained her up quite well - thank you.) Talk radio and sites like Big D's are where The Truth is now. And they who do not love The Truth, come to hate it.

  10. https://twitter.com/MarkDice/status/966550015408726016 good local reporting: CNN asked a student to give his thoughts, but then handed him a script, so he decided not to attend the "town hall" at all

  11. "CNN just topped itself." No, CNN just bottomed itself...and is still digging.
